hey guys have you met the issue after flashing the mod ? TBH the mod was awesome and made my phone well-debloadted but it makes me sacared that if I turn my phone off to sleep and wake up in the morning the phone might be stuck in bootloop and I have to use odin to make everything from the start:crying: while it doesn't happen everytime , thought the phone plays trick on me, I don't know what would happen when I was asleep

It's not his modpack that is the problem. It's the twrp-solution.
But yes, the things you write about is why many skips the few things that mod gives as of now compared to instead running John's Magisk/stock-recovery dito instead.

Finally I understood that the device can't be powered off ,if the kernel lose the power ,the data patation will dead , so what if the battery run out??? that's scary...:crying:

Try reflashing the rom.
yess !! For all newbes ====>>
after flashing your phone with CUstom rom or stock if you have problem reflash if CWM work or if dont work try with odine in download mode if doanload mode work is great for you past any Stock rom you wont [VER example 2.2,2.3 etc...etc] after this if all work fine and phone reset like factory you are free to past or not a custom rom is simple for all question about how to flash via CWM or odine searche in the XDA forum for [TUTORIAL] thanks and good luck !!! ^^
No no no guys.. don't bother with reflashing and stuff, that's not the problem.. I had the same problem and I googled it for months until I've learned its a Samsung wifi hardware related problem and mostly Galaxy devices are affected. Something is wrong when phone goes in standby. It continues to work but you can't wake it and you have to reinsert battery to get it on again.
The solution is to install a tiny app called Wake Lock, it's there on market.. it keeps phone awake even when you lock screen. My phone doesn't shut off anymore and I can finally rely on it. I don't have to think anymore and check all the time if the phone is off and if I'm going to miss a call...
The alternative is to turn off wifi before you lock screen but I think that most of us need wifi on all the time to get mails and messages on time
true, this is a samsung prob it gave me a hard time many months back.
but also make sure u've wiped data before flashing.
but seriously why is this in accessories?!
I flashed many ROMs and wiped data but my Mini was still shutting down.. the Wake Lock is the real fix, I had no shutdowns for months now
I have the same problem!
Me too have the same prob.. ny sgm also runs in rc5.4 shuts down itself

first thing if it is booting normal and running just continues vibrate take care maybe it is hardware so install triangle away rest the counter go cwm recovery wipe everything then download mode flash stock rom that should solve the problem or remove battery and sim and sd for the next day then try if not do those steps and go to the Samsung warranty center

Did you ever make a nandroid backup (before this problem was happening)? You could try restoring to that. Otherwise, I hate to say it, but it might just be a hardware problem... I haven't done much with my mini 2 yet when it comes to flashing etc., but judging from my experience, there shouldn't ever be a reason for it to vibrate when it's in recovery mode. I might be wrong, but I don't think the drivers for the vibration motor are even loaded in recovery - so something very odd would have to happen software-wise - assuming that the drivers are not being loaded in recovery - for that to happen. If you still have a warranty on your device, I would restore everything to stock, reset the binary counter (with triangleaway or whatever it's called - I'm not exactly sure how it works, all I know is that it does work), and return it for warranty service. If the warranty is expired, then you could try to take the phone apart (don't blame me if something goes wrong, though) and see if there's anything obvious that might be causing problems. Other than that, I don't really know what else to say...
I restored the best backup i had , now it seems ok , if i don't push the power button and i close the screen with a application there are no problems , i removed the cover i take out the vibration and still doesn't work , now works fine if i don't touch the power button , a few days ago i couldn't enter into cwm or download mode , when i entered the phone was restarted and i couldn't do anything , now i have stock rom , removed bloatware , no oc and works fine and i have a application to turn off the screen
Hello, everyone.
I have already installed CM11 on my Moto G XT-1040, peregrine. I was curious to learn a bit more about kernels and tried to download one and flash it via TWRP. The problem is that I got one from XT-1032, falcon, without noticing it. The kernel is XPerience 17+ and it's frozen on the boot until this very moment. What should I do? Did I brick my phone or is there a way to recover it?
Oh. It seems that the battery got the phone killed and it finally turned off. (Feels like having some kind of Apple device, which cannot be turned off until the battery is still alive).
I put it to charge... any ideas of the next step? It responded, at least to the charging.
So, now to the real question... can I try to flash the old kernel again? If yes, how?
(I'm really hoping to enter the recovery mode!!)
I'm hoping someone can help me out!
Thanks in advance,
Rodolfo.
Nevermind, I got it backed up and restored it.

If anyone had the same problem, I hope you guys had a backup file on TWRP, which restores almost everything but the bootloader logo from the other kernel.
Good news, the problem was solved just with the Recovery Mode. It needed to get into the bootloader, which was only possible after the battery died.

No commands were working at the time. Just the frozen bootloader screen from the wrong kernel. When the battery died, after some 5 minutes or so of charge I managed to turn it on on the bootloader and put it on recovery mod. Wow, I killed all my nerves, thinking I lost my close-to-new phone. Then backup saved my day!
Yo, I really need your help people.
I flashed 4.4 on my device recently and at first it was all good and well, but lately, the soft keys stop working about... 2 minutes after I boot it up. Do you have any idea what to do?

Meh, I forgot to change the signature. Kinda obviously. Or otherwise my phone wouldn't boot at all. Never mind though, I erased everything and started over. The keys work fine now.

It's probably something to do with the rom/kernel itself since I don't have that problem but im using a stock rom and I haven't seen anyone else with your type of problem either.. Did you at least boot into recovery and clear your cache and all that?

The deep sleep issue is because of your knox counter being tripped! They probably have a kernel somewhere to fix the deep sleep issue though, but then the kernel is no longer completely stock once it's been altered.
