LG Optimus 4x hd have a worst camera app. from the default camera app the pictures are blurry, noisy and video is out of focus and low light problem. i have also tried Camera Fix V5 app which was uploaded by xda developers, but that app is also useless. according to me the camera hardware is good. the whole problem is in the app of camera. Can anyone develop a new app for camera which can solve these problems ?

no one is going to develop a camera app. You have t wait for a fw upgrade that could impove the camera.
What is the best camera app for this phone?
RIght now I'm running Slimbean and included is the Gallery 3D camera which...works. But mostly the autofocus is terrible, it demands alot of light, and the camera almost "lags" so it's difficult to take even a decent picture. Is there any other camera app out there which could do the job better?
Number 1 is the LG stock camera,
Number 2 is Camera JB+.

They're the only camera apps that i know working flawlessly in our device, i don't know why our device cannot work with 3rd party camera (lag in shooting with flash and autofocus) - maybe hardware related?
It is actually deal breaker for camera apps lover

I also like Camera360 becuse of the nice effects.
I have a Note 4. I have my settings set to the lowest, and yet my camera still takes 100MB per minute video. Does anyone know what else may be going on?
Thanks!
(Deleting other thread, as ib had wrong info. Not 1MB...100MB
What resolution do you have the camera set to? I would assume you have it in 1080p/60fps.

I have it set on the lowest, 1280/720. I had my tech brother look at it this weekend, all I can do is use a video compress app ?
Just use third party camera app where you can adjust the resolution down to 220, 480 etc..

Any third party ones I install when I start recording it takes me to my stock camcorder. Is that not normal?

Just take regular videos. Of my son, things I review etc. My biggest problem is that Amazon will only accept 2MB or less for video reviews. This means I have to review it in about a minute and a half for it to go, and I just can't usually do that. Especially bigger items.
Am i totally missing the option in the Samsung camera app for raw settings? Or is it gone? I use that a lot at work to tweak sharpness and structure.
Suck to not have the option of super big pictures without the use of third party camera app. I use my double click to launch camera all day.
I'm not at work to really check if I need to tweak...but I assume so, since same camera as my s7e

I believe you've missed it.
In the Camera, go to the Settings then under Rear Camera, click Picture Size.
The very last option has the checkbox for Saving Raw files.
