Hi all,
I'm having a little problem with the full querty original keyboard.
When I go to numbers I'm unable to go back to letters, the grey ABC button doesn't work.
I noticed also that the ABC/T9 grey button is not working...
Any advice to solve this problem? is there a CAB to reinstall the default keyboard? (maybe they are corrupted)
Thank you for the help!
I really can't find a way to let the full querty original keyboard work in the right way...
Please help
At least let me know if there is a way to reinstall just the keyboard (like for the third party keyboards).
Thank you
Love the HTC keyboard, can anyone instruct me as to how to get the HTC keyboard on the Motorola Droid? TIA

Good luck,
There are themed versions in Rom Manager. I use swype, so I never looked real hard for htc, but it's available for Droid.
Hero Keyboard (htc keyboard download)
Hi there, here is a download for the Hero keyboard, (which is the htc one, i havent actually tested it my self.

heres the notes on it from ShariarKuasa
It has no lag either and has phone keypad, full qwerty, and compact. But for some reason it only has t9 when texting and not in search option but still worth replacing the usual Keyboard. To install just download the zip file then extract and install the two apk's then go to settings>locale & text> then check the touch input then long press on the text box area till it says input then select touch input. (you have to install clicker apk and htc_ime apk for this to work).
It works on both root and non-root users.
I run jonasl's HTC_IME v19 on my Droid without any issue, it works great for me. It's a modified HTC_IME.
wow, telling him to go elsewhere and linking to weird megaupload files?
Here, go to the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=624416 This is the modded version of the HTC keyboard that most of us use.
and if you want a custom themes version of it, you can go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654179
This is the latest jonas IME keyboard v.26 (HTC Keyboard), works perfect on my droid:

Hi, I am new to this forum.
I have a galaxy note GT-n7000. Until today, I was using Gingerbread on it and had no issues with it.
But now, I've updated my note to JellyBean 4.1.1 [Unofficial Leaked release]. I've NOT rooted my phone.
I love everything but I am unable to add words to the dictionary. In Gingerbread, I could add words using the "add words" button in the keyboard.
But in JB, I am unable to do so. Please help me as its very annoying.
P.S. I use 3x4 keyboard and NOT QWERTY!
Thanks in advance.
And yes, I've searched the forum before and dint find the answer.
Galaxy note user dictionary
I am having the same problem. I cannot find any way to add new words to the Samsung Keyboard for the Note range using Jellybean. I know there are alternative keyboards where this is easy but I want to use the Samsung keyboard because of the handwriting option. Has anyone found out how to add new words to the Samsung dictionary or even to how to ask Samsung or inform them of the issue?
Thanks for any help

I am also looking for same solution but couldn't find anything ... no software can backup or edit user dictionary for samsung n7100
Go to the setting of samsung keyboad (look for it in Language anf Input). Enable predictive input.
Now, by default the keyboard will pick up any new word you typed in before. So technically you don't need to manually enter it like last time.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
anyone able to edit user dictionary ... or import text file ... right now its learning from facebook and gmail but cannot import it by whatsapp ... software like User Dictionary manager show blank dictionary ... samsung note 2 n7100
hi, im new here, i'm looking for samsung keypad for CM9 does anybody knows if this exist at all, i've been looking for it, no luck i hope someone can help me with this.
You mean like a bluetooth keyboard case? It may exist but nothing comes to mind. If you mean a full sized keyboard just hook it up via bluetooth, or USB with an adapter for the port. Then just change to USB host mode. That's what I used to do for my tablet at least.
this one
i'm saying this one, it does not come with cyanogen 9, the pic is here if anyone know anything please help me
Not sure, sorry, kind of looks like swift key from what I remember. I like the JB keyboard, any reason you're still on cm9? Just curious.
But if anyone knows what keyboard that is feel free to chime in
there's no particular reaseon but, if i change to cm10 then is there a way to put samskung sotck keyboard?
Changing ROMs shouldn't make a difference whether you can install a keyboard or not, you'd still have to find it. I just don't see the point in running an outdated version of android when the Captivate can run JB very well.
Is there any reason you want the Stock keyboard other than looks?
i already have have CM10.1 with android 4.2.2, so how do i install the samsung keyboard on it?

yes there's a reason, my fingers write better on this keyboard, android keyboard is smaller than stock samsung keyboard.
You have to find it and install it. I'm not sure what it would be called or if you could simply extract it from the Stock ROM.
But can you answer my question from the previous post? I'm only asking because there are a lot of better keyboards out there.
EDIT: Ah understood, sorry post timing was off. Have you tried Swift Key? I just don't know exactly where to get the keyboard you're looking for.

Sure thing, sorry SwiftKey didn't workout well for you. If I find anything close to the Samsung Keyboard I'll shoot you a PM or post it here.

Try Smart Keyboard. The keys are larger just like in Samsung keyboard, it supports themes and is very feature rich. You may configure it to look and act like Samsung keyboard. Supports many languages + downloadable predictive text dictionaries. This is what I use. I don't like default Android keyboard either. Trial version is available too.
I have tried Swiftkey and Swype and personally prefer Swype myself. Swiftkey didn't seem nearly as accurate on their swiping.

thank you very much it worked like a charm it feels just like samsung keyboard you saved me i'm really grateful
This is the beauty of Android OS - there is always a solution!
I just bought a new Huawei P10 and I'm having a lot of difficulty typing comfortably because I was so used to using the samsung keyboard.
I wanted to know if there is a way to install the samsung keyboard oon this phone, or change the layout of the keyboard to match that of the samsung one.
I tried downloading an apk but it wouldn't install, said something about the package conflicting with an existing one. I also tried to look at Swift to see if I could change te positions of the keys to match the samsung one, but couldnt figure that out as well.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you!
