Hello,
I'm wondering if there is an app that automatically changes the screen quality from FHD+ to WQHD+ when launching a video app like YouTube or Netflix so that it's possible to save some battery when not watching video?
Thanks in advance
Turn off adaptive power saving
Yes there is!
Use Bixby routines
For the "If" select "App Opened", pick your desired apps
For the "Then" you can select "Screen resolution"

Tried it but it doesn't work cause it have to close all apps to change the resolution so in other words I guess it's not possible at all

It does work, I just tried it. The only issue I ran into was chat bubbles from messenger enlarged when switching apps.
But your issue of having to close all apps is incorrect. I have plenty of apps in my task switcher I can change back and forth with just slight "glitching" I guess you could say because the screen resolution is changing.

Anyone else seeing this? Happens every time I restart after creating them. Doesn't make any difference if I put them all in a folder. They still go!

Happens on my Mate 10 too. Try enabling auto rotate homescreen in settings (pinch to zoom) and rotate homescreen into landscape and then portrait again and see if this refresh brings them into view again.

Seems to be that changing any display settings makes them come back. Have turned darken interface colours off and they now seem to stay there after a restart!
I prefer manual brightness setting. My CLT109 keeps reverting to automatic brightness. It appears to happen after a restart and maybe when opening a browser. I use Chrome.
Does a know of a workaround without routing?
install quickshortcut apps, in the apps type "battery" , choose setting, choose any shorrcut that has"Powerusagesummary", click "try"
you will be directed to the battery usage , in that area you will find ADAPTIVE BRIGHTNESS...turn it off
then go to automatic brightness in setting and untick it
remember you will need to do this everytime you reboot the phone
hit thanks if this help

Hi, can I ask you a question? If you set the manual brightness, for example to 70%, when opening chrome or Gmail or Facebook, note that it is lowered?

Hi. Yeah. I might have to change my OP. I notice it when I open an app. But I think it's only happening after a restart.

It always happens to me, if I set the manual brightness and open Facebook or Gmail after a while known a change of light, it goes down. If I return to the home, he gets up

Have you unchecked the box to the right of the slider in the display settings?

Yes, the brightness is set as manual but behaves as if it were automatic

So is it standard behaviour that on reboot it reverts to automatic?
Fix brightness dim in certain aps
Enable developer options and set animation duration scale to 0.5 mine worked that and have custom brightness and no longer auto dimming.

But does this process also work using automatic brightness? Because I have the problem of brightness that goes down in some Apps like Facebook or Chrome
I have similar problem. I want to be automatic as I had with all my android phones before.
But mate 20 pro is a way to agressive. I allways have to correct brightness to +.
Does anyone know what this is? Can't seem to find what it does?
It excludes the app from being closed if you hit the close all button.

When I hit the close all button it disappears though. I've been thinking about ODINing pie to my phone. I OTA updated and then factory reset. Stuff doesn't seem right, like my alarm screen doesn't have the increasing ringtone option anymore either... Any thoughts? Does yours stay in the recents?

From what I was able to research, the gradual volume increase is missing from the Samsung Clock app. There appears to be different settings for each category on the vertical 3 dot menu. I have seen suggestions to install the Google clock app but YMMV.
I just tried again with locking the app and it does stay when I hit close all. When I check the recents afterward, the only app that appears is the one I locked with the lock symbol in the bottom right corner.
Another friendly question. Do you have any idea why the pen doesn't work with some apps? I've noticed 2 for sure. One is free the other was paid. Evolution of Species 2 and Excapist 2. Neither will work with the pen remote settings on or off. I figured the pen would produced the same affect as the finger...
Best I can gather is that some apps are coded specifically for touch input. If I'm understanding correctly, the pen is considered direct input which is different than touch. I found an old Reddit thread that might explain it better...

About setting for volume increase in clock app. That setting has been removed and that auto increase is now done automatically.
I checked with Samsung about it and they confirmed that setting was removed and that volume auto increases as default now. In android pie
how to let apps run in background without automatically close in android pie
It's a little hidden.
Go settings, device maintenance, Battery. Under the estimated runtime click battery consumption button.
In the following list tap on a random app (not screen or something) and then tap on battery optimization. The select on top "All" apps and allow the one you want.
If someone has a faster approach let me know.
My phone language isnt English so the buttons may have slightly different names.

Is developer options enabled? At the bottom there is a setting that can limit background processes.

I believe Bober_is_a_troll meant that you could check whether that option is already enabled for some reason and disable it.
Yes this sounds like you have background services limited to 4. Make sure to check the dev options!
Make sure "background process limit" is set to default.
Coming from Oxygen, there's still a lot of visual stuff I dislike about One UI, though I will say, it's FAR better than the last Samsung I used which ran TouchWiz.
Running Nova and Theme Park to get things looking/running the way I generally prefer.
The one last piece that I really dislike but can't find a complete solution for is the Task Manager. I have Home Up running, but the part that annoys me is the Recent App shortcuts. They appear to be randomly generated, and the icons are horrific and cartoony. I just don't like it.
Is there an alternative or way to just turn the recent app shortcuts off? Screenshot attached for clarity.
Home up, task changer, disable "hide search bar"
Enter recents, three dots menu in search bar, settings, disable "show recommended apps"
Now you can hide search bar again

I actually discovered that RIGHT as I got a notification of your reply.
Big thanks for chiming in.
While I still generally think One UI < Oxygen, with enough tweaks, I can deal.
Question for you OP. How'd you get home up working while using Nova. None of the settings seem to stick when changing task manager using goodlock homeup when move is set to default.

there is a recent update to One UI Home that fixed that issue for me with lawnchair.
if youre not getting it through samsung, you can sideload it from here: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...rience-home-touchwiz-home-12-1-05-11-release/
you also may or may not have to update home up.

Thanks that worked! Looking clean now. I also hated the suggested apps at the bottom. I use a higher dpi and that was not affected by the dpi change. So it looked even worse on my phone. They looked huge compared to everything else.

Hi there
I was wondering if there is any way to apply the new homeup with the task changer on one ui 2.5 or any other good lock plugins for that matter
Samsung is only updating them for android 11 and was really hoping to get them on my phone
BTW I have a note 9 so no updates for me
