I ported a custom recovery to my phone and it's fully functional but the battery status says always 0% even if my phone is 100%. Is there a fix for that? How to link my battery percentage status file to TWRP?
PLEASE HELP ME!

i have this 'NOT FOR SALE P925' its unlock and has TMOBILE US 3g/4g Bands.
its rooted and has CWM recvoery installed.
i can install any rom on it.
baseband version is L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1042.00
software version is LGP920-V10K-SEP-17-2011
its running build FRG83G by 'feb985'
i try installing different roms but problem remains the same. it will boot up , but as soon it boot into android it will shutdown because its alway on 0% battery. i try charging the battery in external battery charger and also another battery but it wont recognize the battery percentage and shutdown.
if the usb is connected with either computer or charger it will boot but wont UP the percentage of the battery. means no charging. and as soon as i disconnect the usb it will shutdown .
does any one have a clue what the hell is wrong with this phone ?

I don't know if its directly related but I remember seeing the same problem over on the Optimus 3D forum. Try a search over there and see if they cane up with a fix. I believe it was in the General section. Whatever worked there should work for the Thrill.

i actually put gingerbread on it. but still have the same problem. then i revert back to 10d firmware. still the same.
now if i can get V08 serier firmware somehow.
me too i've the same not for sale version, and experiencing the same prblem of battery,i did made a back up before up upgrading, after having the 0% battery prob, with several firmware i decided to restore my back up,but the same problem arises, but the battery charge indicator work when i charge the phone when it's off,if i power on the phone it will shut down as soon as i unplug the usb,if i let the phone charge completly when its off,i power on the phone while it's still plug in,it will show that the battery is full, then if i unplug it,my phone will remain on,but if i restart it,the same battery problem happens again and i should do the same process in order to use the phone unplugged, the phone will not charge while its on

if you've backupped your phone before upgrade, you can restore it,it will still have this not charging problem, but
if you shutdown your phone after restoring,it will charge, but don't power on the phone till the battery indicator show it's
fully charged, then you can power on the phone, but the charger/usb cable should remain plugged till the phone loads completly and you see the
battery full, unplug the phone indication, then you will be able to use the phone, but if you shutdown/restart the phone the same battery 0%
error will appear and you will have to switch off and repeat the procedure again,i tried restoring back up of other phone, but the indicator won't show charging
while it is off,but if i install custom roms using rom manager and i remove the bin image from it,it charges the same way,but the phone will restart by itself after
some use,and i should charge it again, while it is off, hopes this piece of info might help someone, btw mine is p920 'not for sale'
thanks for the tip .. but i never have a backup of it. i bought it like this thinking i might be able to fix it. i will try cleaning the battery stats in cwm and then let it stay off for charge let see whats happends.
btw do you happens to have the cwm backup of yours ?? i would appreciate it if you post it.
thanks

I'm in the same situ with a NOT FOR SALE version that can run any rom but battery does not charge. Runs only with USB plugged in.
ANy updates would be appreciated.
LG-p925 (AT&T USA).
Thanks
Calibrate the battery maybe because I've heard that when flashing a ron you need to calibrate your battery

My phone always show battery as 100%, from past 1 month, i tried alot of things as-
1) Reset phone to factory setting.
2) Rom change - been on atleast 6 different roms
3) Battery Calibration ( used many calibration apps)
4) Tried diffrent Firmware also like XXJVT, XXJW4, XXJVU
5) Bought a new battery ( and this also shows 100%, so clearly its a phone problem not battery)
Searched and tried every possibility, I hope someone could help to fix this.
Thanks.
Whats happens if you let the battery drain? And have you already tried deleting the battery stats in cwm?

maybe you can try to wipe the Battery status on recovery mode.

Did deleted status in recovery mode, and also in system, deleted batterystats.bin file.
I even went back to froyo then gingerbread, stock roms, nothing is changing battery indication. Could it be hardware problem?
Flashed this rom: [ROM][STOCK][JB][4.1.2][JZO54k.N7000XXLSZ][22-02-2013]
worked for 1 day, then my phone got empty battery, I charged it for 10%, tried to turn on, stuck at note screen?!!!!
I can enter into recovery screen
please advice a.s.a.p
Edit: charged it 50% then went to recovry screen and from there i choosed reboot system, and worked
Now don't let your battery run out of juice

I just tried that and It's still there. It doesn't go down from 1% so it's not making my phone unusable.
So it is giving the same battery life? But it is showing 1%?

It seems I've fixed it. I just deleted the batterystats.bin and left it plugged in, once the battery was full, it reset back to 100%.
my phone drains from 21 % to 0 in seconds and turns off when i charge the phne the battery % will be more than 21% in less than a min
plz help:crying:
Call Motorola about a warranty return
This used to happen with my Sony xperia phone i figured that out by re flashing the stock ROM and firmware. You could try and reset the phone from recovery if issue is still their contact Motorola.

warranty is void i had problem in stock (4.4.4) and i recently rooted and tried cm12 and i still seem to have the prob
Try 1-2 more roms and try to flash ANY OTHER recovery other than stock recovery .. You can also try and wipe battery stats that option is their in recovery .

As said above, wiping battery stats usually helps,
Try using the battery calibration tool : ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&hl=en )
follow the instructions in the app and post your findings !
