-Backup each and every partition from TWRP Recovery (optional)
-Make a full wipe (system, data, cache, dalvik)
-Make a data format (if Rom version is up/downgrading)

You must do a clean installation, since the base is changed, from oreo to pie.
Already clean flash...
Just to install latest version of play store from apkmirror and reboot, everything is ok and updated.

Update: Miui screen recorder is available. But, due to Google's policy, it can't record internal sound.

Yeah that's the one but the name is little different, check the settings and see if you can recorder system sounds only and the other option should be record Mic

some people are having better luck than others
I have noticed no major bugs and it is a lot better than sense3.6 (imo)

Download the 2.8.3 and follow the instructions in the "General" section in our phone's forum. Everything is working for me after following them, didn't check GPS though...
So, it isn't possible to flash new version on top of the old one? I didn't intend to do full wipe before flashing upsate. Tnx anyway

I've tried it and it's definitively slower than CM 10, the thing that lags more is the keyboard indeed on fast writing it misses a lot of letters

for the first version of jb its very good imo, it will only get better each week

u dont have to flash the gapps, its included in the rom
kernel - matrix 22.5 cfs works very well, i dint bother trying other kernels
65fps would you use up more battery so i dont use it

I'm italian. I will try this rom if i will have the same problem of he. Can anyone say me the bugs in this rom ? If there aren't i install it immediately!
ive been using it since it came out, i dont see any bugs yet .. but yes the speed is lesser than other jb roms but its not that much of a difference after flashing matrix

That's not true.. I use google now.. And I get traffic(not accurate in Mumbai) updates and estimated arrival times on my daily commutes.. It gives me a popup just before I leave for work and before head back,
Although I think you'll need the modded google maps (navigation)

Modded nav tells me to drive over buildings n parks lol, that's why I said its usless

For bugs about 3.5.3.
Issue: When you press and hold the home button, the multi task will flash up and then exist.
Solution: Setting-> button -> desktop key -> choose none.
I have already flash back to beta 2, but this should be the way to solve the issue.
For tips about 3.5.3.
- on the music icon, press and hold, then swipe up. You will see a pop-up music control
- there is a battery saving mode in setting >battery. I think this have something to do with tune down cpu freqz to from 1.2 to 1Gz.

1. Uses material stolen from pengus77 without permission
2. Battery drain is higher than any other rom for the o2x
3. Our phone's low amount of available ram in android 4.0+ can't handle resource hungry miui any more. May be smooth at first but apps take a lot of time to open, compared to other roms, and multitasking can't be handled well(mostly due to low ram, again)

Whenever I initially flashed this ROM (which I believe is the same one in the development section), I had issues with skipping whenever I was testing ViPER Audio, which I never had before. More than likely it was the fact that MIUI typically runs slower on lower end devices (unless it was the combination of FX + XHiFi), but after I flashed the Sultan Kernel I didn't seem to have any problems with that.
Along with that, I never tested data on the original kernel, but when I ran into the problem on my current kernel I just went to "Access Point Names" and changed it from ATT - wap.cingular to ATT- Phone. That seemed to clear up any connection issues when using data...
But again, that's assuming that both posts contain the same ROM.
Also, thank you for posting this, I've been dying to get my hands on this version for a while now. Seems like the HTC Vivid is starting to regain a bit of momentum again.

I couldn't get bluetooth to work on this rom (in development section sharing your name on the kernel). I tried Sultan's kernel, and it also didn't have working BT. Anyone else have luck with BT?

It should work now with the new update... I'm on 3.6.21 and everything work fine.

Please double clear data before the first flash into MIUI8! This would break default theme - you can download new theme! Based on the Polish version of MIUI production! No family bucket millet, millet ad! The ROM has cracked official BL lock!
Starting from the development ROM version 6.1.14, the official phone BootLoader has encryption that would have BootLoader lock. But, this ROM doesnot contain BL lock

I haven't used Ivan's version of MIUI+Mashmellow.
However, Ivan's was a particular version - which never got updated.
This is the official MIUI version +/- patches.
Use it and experience it for yourselves.

Forget about that thread (with respect to OP) look on eu Miui site. It provides latest software, rooted, with all languages you can dream of and even OTA since recently. Every thing is explained on it except if you only wanted xposed.
