Having problems with mobile network connectivity on Linage os 15.1 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

Hi I was looking for a solution to the problem I am having with linage os it doesn't seem to want to connect to the network or connects when it wants too I tried adding APN but it doesn't apear when I click save and sometimes a list of APN's apear including t mobile one which is the one I need I click it nothing happens that list appears also along with all the APN's that I personally added. I also tried to manually connect but it says ''can't connect to the network right now try again later'' also it can be in auto select network but sometimes that randomly turns off the modem seems fine since it did connect it just really buggy at that or something must be tweaked first. WiFi also works with no issues

NO WIFI connection after upgrade RUU_Prodigy_2170706 FRE

Anyone has an idea how to solve this?
i have installed the new RUU_Prodigy_2170706_21707106_20710_QTEK_FRA_Ship ROM on my qteck9100 and all went fine, all works perfectly execpt WIFI
Now each time i want to connect to my wifi network its goes on a neverending seraching, trying to connect end nothing.
I tryed wiht the WAP security on, without any security , without an mac adress filter but no way to connect.
i tryed also to go back to ROM RUU_Prodigy_2080702_102_11310_QTEK_FRA_Test that worked perfectly but i have an error message saying that the rom is not compatible with the device..
suggestions are welcome
thamks
sorry cant help too much, im in the same boat, tryed two different roms now, but no go
finds the network, asks if you want to connect, then after a few mins it stops trying to connect!
Also in the available networks list, they stay available even tho some of them i passed a mile or so ago in my car!
I finally could install RUU_Wizard_1050412_WWE_101_11210_WWE ROM and with the DJVW HTC Wizard Optimizer the Wifi wrok perfectly
with the old 2.08 test and the Optimizer, the wifi connection was fine.
Maybe with this last ROm 2,17 the Optimizer don't work ..
im running Custom_RUU_Wizard_1050402_101_11210_O2_ENG_CID.exe.html
but still not working for me, whats this, DJVW HTC Wizard Optimizer ? cheers
DJVW HTC Wizard Optimizer installed and still the same, ohwell,
I had the same problem until I adjusted the NIC power settings to favour better performance it would then connect..
I read somewhere on here that another user had to stand nearer to the AP to connect but once connected all was fine?
same issue for me ...

i had the k-jam ontop of the router, and nothing
I tryed the WIFI connection in a public place with a provider called
"monzoon" and its worked fine.
As this acces is a 802.11b i start really to belive that "Wizard optimizer" do not work with the new ROM
At home with my Belkin Pre-N router that works only on mode "G" and "B+G" i still have no connection.
There is no change if i change performance setting and by the way with the piblic network i was on "best battery" and not on "best performance"

problem with T MOBLE WING
I have the same problem , I even did try connect to my home Wifi it show connected ,but doesn't open to the website I want to ,can some one help, thanks
I had the same problem, I installed batterystatus, and checked the option to disable gprs when wlan is on, and now it works fine...
You don't need batterystatus to do this (the software just does it automatically for you), you can do it by yourself by disabling "data connection" in the connection manager whenever you turn on the wifi radio
-Hope it helps
t-mobile wing wifi problems
I had a similar problem with my wing. It would connect to unsecured WIFI networks and work flawlessly but when I connect to a secured network it would work for about 1 min then just hang while downloading a web page. If you device is doing this send it back to t-mobile and get a new one. This is what I had to do. hopefully you have a warranty.
I just got my T-Mobile Wing and I think I have the same problem. It just doesn't want to work with my WPA-secured Wi-Fi. When I switch WPA off, it works fine.
Did anyone else had a problem like this?
Called T-Mobile, they have nothing like that in their knowledge base.
I got this problem when i installed HTC 10 Button comm manager. I uninstalled it and WiFi works again.
Hope this helps
i have somewht of a similar problem, since ive had my Wing i have been unable to use my wi-fi, when i turn it on it says connected and shows me the lil meter and everythin but when i try browsing or downloadin it just hangs and does nothing until i turn the wi-fi off...i have no clue why i have learned to live without it but would appreciate any help...thanks
Try this it work for me. Whenever you want to connect to secure wpa do this before you make the connection
Start > Setting > Connections > Wifi Status > Power Mode > Move the slide "Best Performance"
Your wing should be able to connect to secure wpa.
Hope this help.

Make sure you disconnect from edge/gprs before you try to surf after you are connected to the wifi.

how exactly do i do this? is it what was explained about in the battery status menu and check marking the box 'disable proxy for wi-fi'...?
You can click on the little E or G on top and click on Disconnect.

i dont know how i ever survived without wi-fi....WOW....thank u
Thank Ayodeji13. He answered this in the 5th post. ^_^ But, yea, I've done the same thing before and was lucky to realize where the problem was coming from. Unfortunately, it didn't help me with the crappy wifi signal that my Wizard provided me. The wing, on the other hand, is MUCH better at this.

Thanks mate... I too was having issues connecting to wifi... its kind of strange... it was connecting to my home network for sometime but later it suddenly stopped. It will connect to other networks but not to my secured network. Today I tried the setting you mentioned and surprisingly my phone connected to my home network... I wonder why because this setting should improve the performance and not the connectivity itself... Thanks again
you can add me to the list of people with wifi issues. I can't connect to my wireless router and I'm stand two feet away from it. It shows up but when I try to connect it says unavailable. I've done everything from turning the data off, to setting the power to best performance but it won't connect.
I need help... Whenever I connect it says I'm connected but actually I'm not. Yesterday I could view directions using live search but couldnt browse the web, not i cant do both. it gets stuck on the locating... part of loading the website. sometimes it gets to opening but the KB bar doesnt come up and it gives me some 500 internal error, or page doesn't exist. I cant do the best performance thing because im using touch it 2.3 rom and i dont have wifi status anymore.
WHY DO YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THAT STUF?!! URGH! I dont even have msn!
But anyways, can someone help me connect to the internet?...
TRY THIS
I have the same problem, i i manage to fix my wifi connectivity by editing the registry.....try this at your own risk.....but swear it works for me. i used total commander to edit registry and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > HTC > Comm Manager >
then you will see folders 0 - 8 or some only have 0 - 7 ,delete folders 6 and up ........ ( I JUST MOVE MINE instead of DELETING IT< I MOVE IT TO STORAGE CARD SO IF SOMETHIN GOFF UP I CAN JUST PUT IT BACK )....
SOFT RESET then try turn your wifi ON , connect to your network.... til me if this works for u guys...
i think the value of those folders are bum hehehehe thats why it wont connect......., after connecting to your wifi secured or not , it will create another folder and add those folders back by default...but this time the good settings lolz its worth a try !
Ok this is realy frustrating. My wing was getting on my secured home network and npw it dose not. I read all the post and have tried some (the ones that I could understand). I dont have the option under battery status to disable gspr or gpsr. And my system is vista 64 so total commder dosen seem to work for reg settings(edits). I can conect to unsecure networks but I cant to my hone (secure) network. I have in the past but it dsent ssem to work now?

mda compact v (data nor wifi working)

I have managed to get andriod onto my compact v, but everytime i switch it off windows comes back on, is this normal??? Also it wont let me connect to the internet either by wifi or my data connection. can someone help?
many thanks
This is all normal: all versions are still in beta development, wifi and 3g work with latest builds.
Windows is still the main operating system that gets started when you turn on the phone. You can make it quickly switch to Android by using Gen.Y dual boot. You can find that on the forum here.
You're data problem may be caused by the wrong setting for cdma in your startup.txt. Follow the instructions in the beginning of this thread and on xdandroid.com closely.

Same here.
Korrekt APN Setting appleid.
STARTUP.TXT as well contains ppp.username ppp.password ppp.apn settings.
With force_cdma=1 no connect to any network. Even GSM doesn't work.
With force_cdma=0 GSM Works but no 3G/2G Connections. WiFi as well.
Alright guys, for fixing the wifi issue, before booting haret.exe switch "on" the wifi in WinMo. For 2g/3g data connection try to apply in android the APN settings and restart android, if this is not working try enabling airplane mode and disabling it.

Problem connecting to my network Please help!!

the weirdest thing happened to me, my phpne was working fine, i flashed fearkill fr13 after a full wipe coming from fr12 mcr.
It worked well for a couple of hours and all of the sudden i cant connect to my network. The only way it connects is by enabling 2g networks only and even like that i cant make any calls. I have even tried reinstalling the baseband 405 and nothing works...
My network is fine by the way, its just my phone
Please help me!!
Edit:
A little more info:
I tried a different sim card with the same results
Whenever i try to search for a network it just stays thinking for a while and does nothing
When I try to do it automatically it says it cannot connect to the network at this time immediately...
I managed to make a call on 2g networks only but as soon as i remove the check i cant connect
Edit 2:
Woooooow, this just gets weirder by the second!!
I can connect to the internet with wifi disabled and a clear X on the network as in no network connection... I can browse the internet just fine, NO CALLS though
... after countless Wipes and installing plenty of roms With no luck i gave up and as soon as i Woke up it Was Working again... strange but im happy
Guess it was your network after all
maybe, i had a blackberry beside it with a working 3g connection :S
And no idea how to explain 3g working with no bars and an x on it haha
O have problems with my network connection too.
In some rooms at my house I can get 3G access and in another room only EDGE.
Several times per day I can't get access to the network anyway. The only way to solve the probölem is to restart the phone.
Sometimes my phone tells me it is connected but there is no data transfer for several hours. I noticed that when I got home and many emails from the last hours appeared after being connected to my wifi.
I'm using the MCR but I've also tried the ROM from romkitchen-org. Changing the baseband had no effect.
I'll have a try with the stock ROM. If this would fail too I'll send my phone back to the dealer. I think it could also be an hardware defect.

wifi keeps searching

hi all. i am on android 6.0.1 build 23.5.A.1.291. My problem is that my wifi keeps resetting and searching. i am traveling so its not my personal router that is an issue. my tablet and laptop connect to the same routers here without issue but my phone tries to connect various open connections but immediately resets all connections and starts searching for them again. occasionally it connects for a second. the same issue occurs if is set my tablet as a hotspot so i doubt it is related to the available connections. also for some reason i don't seem to have any advanced options anymore to tell the phone to sop scanning. Any help would be much appreciated. so far I tried turning airplane mode on and off as it seems have started at the airport, reset all network connections , general powering down and up etc. nothing seems to work.
hey, i know this post is quite old yet i only found it now facing exactly the same issue. it all started at my parents when phone was suddenly not able to connect (exclamation mark on wifi icon in status bar). i restarted router but it did not help. when i came home i faced the same issue. both routers are different, different provider, etc. before the weekend all worked fine so not really sure what happened. not the phone (z3c) keeps searching for wifi, displays the list for a few secs and searches again.
i tried what was suggested in other topics, like here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/help/wifi-issues-z3c-marshmallow-fix-t3390859
or
https://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-compact/help/wifi-randomly-disconnecting-575-t3435244
but nothing helped. now considering to re-flash the latest firmware. trying my luck here before i do so.
current sw on 23.5.A.1.291
update:
1) i tried to repair the phone using Sony Companion .. did not help
2) flashed it with the latest sw .. did not help
in both cases sw version was D5803_23.5.A.1.291_1288-5411_R12D. when phone starts for the first time it shows wifi networks. but just for a while, that it starts "searching for wifi networks..". when i select my wifi network, fill in the password and click connect it says "failed to connect to network". i can already see on the background that the phone is again searching for wifi networks. if i try to connect at the right moment network is saved. but then it does not connect. or sometimes it does but "checking connection" takes ages and wifi symbol in top bar keeps appearing and disappearing. at the end it shows error message "could not connect to internet".
what could be the problem?
