What did you do? Having the same problem on Mi 9SE

Triggered ARB4 after flashing

After the last official update, my device died, didn't initialize anymore.
So I tried to flash my phone with the last stock rom (jasmine_global_images_V11.0.12.0.QDIMIXM_20200724.0000.00_10.0_79e67f3105) via EDL Mode, because my bootloader is locked.
It flashed, but still didn't initialize.
Then, I replace the files "abl.elf | prog_emmc_firehose_Sdm660_ddr.elf | prog_emmc_firehose_Sdm660_lite.elf" from a GUIDE here.
Doing that, I think I triggered ARB4, because I can't flash the stock ROM anymore... MiFlash give the following error: "Can not read from port COM3".
Any idea about what can be done next?
Thank you for your time!

Question Stuck and can't boot up the device

Well, I was on the weekly build of xiaomi.eu rom ( the device is the Chinese version) and I decided to flash the global ROM via mi flash tool. I chose the clear all and lock option to lock the bootloader. At first, after five minutes in the flashing process, it gave an error ( invalid write argument error or something like this). I tried to flash for the second time and it went fine and gave me a success in the flashing tool .
However, after the device has rebooted, it went straight to the stock recovery with an error saying can not install this software on this device ( however, I already installed this global ROM on the device with the exact same way). I tried to wipe data from the recovery and reboot but the same problem happened.
Now the problem is the bootloader is now locked. When I try to unlock it bootloader to try to flash the fastboot ROM again , it says I need to add a mi account to the device but I can not since I can not log to the device to add it.
I tried to unlock the bootloader using the fastboot commands but all failed.
Any advice what should be done to make it working again?
Thanks in advance for your help
Did you fix the checkpoint error before attempting to flash? What is your device? Global?

do u mean the first error appeared in the mi flash tool? if so, I did not. I just went straight to the second trial and according to the app, it was successful
The device is the Chinese version
You cannot block the bootloader with a global on Chinese version buddy. Also you should have fixed the checkpoint error before doing so to avoid this. Try to search on Google how to reunlock the bootloader from fastboot and no account bind, maybe you may find something. Try also to flash the chinese ROM, it may work, and fix the checkpoint error first

Well, It always state that my bootloader is locked when I try to flash any fastboot ROM with Mi flash or even try to unlock the bootloader
At this point you can only go into edl mode my friend. I do not understand how you even though of locking your bootloader on Global ROM having a China model. Unfortunately there seems not to be any way to unlock the bootloader without binding the account and to do that you need your phone to work

How to enter EDL mode? can I use it to flash any stock firmware? what kind of software needed ?
I'm not confident with the practice as I have never faced such situation. As far as I know you can't do it easily as you need engineering code to do so. There are people that can flash remotely your phone for you for money. But don't ask me who and how. Try to check Google first or YouTube and see if there is a way to do it yourself

I agree with xNAPx, however, if you can access fastboot (power button and volume down key), try using the MiUnlock tool again where you login with your Mi account. You might be able to unlock your account again as your device is aleady bound to your Mi account.

You might be able to unlock your account again as your device is aleady bound to your Mi account. Flashing in EDL will not work, it might with a China rom since this is a Chinese device, but don't count on it, as Xiaomi doesn't allow flashing in EDL mode or with a locked bootloader.
I don't think this is a chance as wiping data delete the Mi account binding (if you do so for example during the countdown for unlocking it reset the countdown). I don't think there is another option but EDL flash
EDL flash is the likely way forward at this stage. Search telegram or youtube for an authorized account. Should cost no more than $ 30-35.
I once was stuck in EDL mode (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/help-needed-i-think-i-bricked-my-phone.4301773/). This guy restored my phone for 35 USD.

You are not to relock the bootloader when flashing anything other than the original stock rom. Can you access fastboot?

My Mi 11 pro is ok, I think you should be asking lordvoldmort from the start of the thread.

Question Soft bricked - how to re-flash properly? (Help!)

Hi guys,
I've unlocked my Note 10 Pro, and was trying to flash MIUI global 12.5.9 with XiaomiMiTool. However the tool got stuck half way and left me soft bricked.
It also throws an error trying to recover me from soft brick.
I have access to stock recovery and fastboot at the least. I've tried using the Mi flash tool, but it tells me 'Couldn't find flash script' or 'can not found file flash_all.bat'
And to be fair, there is not flash_all.bat inside the ROM folder. Am I missing something? Is there an easier way of doing this? At this point I just want to get any kind of ROM back on the phone. Help!
Hi all, I found what was stopping the Mi flash tool from working - I was using a recovery ROM instead of a fastboot rom. However, I've now got a new issue - even the latest ROM is giving me a "Antirollback check error" and won't start flashing. I'm trying to flash 12.5.9 global - how do I get around this??

Ok I got around this, if anyone has this issue what you have to do is edit the flash_all.bat file and take out all the top lines before the flash commands that check your version etc.

Maybe you can try older version of SPflash.
I've been trying to flash stock ROM using .zip fastboot files from
Xiaomi Firmware Updater
The ultimate script that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi devices.
xiaomifirmwareupdater.com
They all seem to come in a payload format, which is not recognised by Xiaomi Flash Tool. What am I doing wrong?
Ok, I've figured it out. Here you can find the latest global ROM and Xiaomi Flash Tool
https://c.mi.com/in/miuidownload/detail?guide=2
Fasboot drivers can be downloaded from here
http://bigota.d.miui.com/tools/xiaomi_usb_driver.rar
This seems to be the cleanest way of doing it
