Finally one information...
"Huawei Ascend P7 - april\may" it says
Thanks dude
Thanks! Is it a serious information?
Nobody knows... But this is first information on some page...
I think we'll have more information during the MWC of Barcelona, when Huawei will present the P8 (15th of April).
I hope Huawei will release complete kernel source...and then we'll be able to see lollipop on our device
Are there any custom Lollipop Rom's? Experimental? I'm testing one on my actual SGS I9305 and it's not stable enough. Anyway I want to buy P7 for my wife's birthday in May. Hope will now more about future updates.
Unfortunately there are not custom lollipop roms

So far there is no Lollipop for P7. Unfortunately we have to wait for Huawei...
I have done a little research and I found out that we may get a Lollipop update at mid 2015 which means we have to wait a long time ffs ;_;

Again ... same thing on mate7 forum..
Dont understand some ppl such hassle for 5.0 ..
Just testing it right now on G3 and it is laggyyyy
I think we'd better wait for 5.1 with bugfixes or if Google follows trend - 5.1.2

P7 will get Lollipop in July, along with updated EMUI:

Can't see P7-L10 in the list?!
http://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_devices_to_get_lollipop_from_next_month_onwards-news-11834.php
Only for Chinese devices L00-L09 in July 2015 (2015年7月). AnDroid 5 for L10 may be next year... But L07 hardware is similar to L10, so custom ROMs we will see soon definitely!!
It was the same with EMUI 3.0 - first for Chinese devices, then for the rest of the world.
Such a late release could mean that:
EMUI heavy adjustments over Android standart interface are so complex that Huawei needs a lof of resources to develop and test it.
I would say in this area Huawei are following steps of HTC Sense, which got so heavy that HTC was incapable of releasing updated android versions in time, because Sense integration took way too much time and resources.
or
They are waiting for 5.1 thus "Lollipop" for them means 5.1 not 5.0.2
That would be a good thing.

That is why I changed my device P-7 one week ago, people waiting for long time to get updates, but Huawei seems to have forgotten them, now I have a motorola Moto G that provides official lollipop and there are many custom roms for this device with the latest version of android 5.1.1. I love it !!!!

Help please

Hey guys, how can I update my phone to android 7? Ive been looking on here for my model and can't seem to find any info if mine supports the custom ROMs for 7, not new to ROMs etc but new to huawei, model is EVA- Lo9 c40b190? Does it matter as long as it's Eva Lo9? Thanks.
You pretty much got 3 choices.
1. Debrand and change it to a C432 and then update it to B361 (Android 7).
2. Wait for Android 7 to be officially released for your model.
3. If C40 already have a Android 7 build, then you can do a force update via dload or Huawei updater.

Is it still possible to get google apps on this?

Last thread i found was a few months old. I need a new tablet for my mum and this one is the only good deal available at the moment and its only available for a few days. It would be a deal breaker tho if i cant get Google apps installed.
Thanks.
Yeah, u still can install Google apps on that tablet. It was published at 2018 or 2019, and rules about Google isn't responding on this tablet
JDN2-W09HN experience
Hi. It depends on the version, I will tell my story. I bought it for my aunt on March in dx.com, they have some problem and end up sending it in September.
I received the new model JDN2-W09, exactly: JDN2-W09HN The old one was JDN2-L09 .
EMUI 9.1 -> Is still having regular updates in the official version with security patches.
Base software version: JDN2-LGPR3-CHN
Build Number: 9.1.0.221 (C00E123R1P72)
The important part is the C00. Don't know why bu EloyGomezTv said so.
EloyGomezTv method from October 2020 and Googlefier wasn't working.
The LZPLAY, the blue G said NO.
I bought an older firmware to downgrade to Jan 2020 {Mod edit: Link removed - Oswald Boelcke, Moderator} and downgrade successfully to 9.1.0.192 but still, LZPLAY didn't work.
I also tried 9.1.0.175 but it said wrong firmware version, so I couldn't downgrade more.
So I gave up and bought a Lenovo tablet for her. I keep this to play and use with apk pure but isn't the same.
C00 is not a China firmware ??

Possible to raise the Android version above 9 on Nokia 8 TA-1004 without root?

Hi everyone. i searched the forum but did not find any suitable information, i hope i did not miss anything.
I have a Nokia 8, Model: TA-1004 (Dual SIM), running the latest known stock update to me Android 9 00WW_5_15G_SP04.
I have some company SW on the phone which starts to make a fuzz about the to old Android version (9) so i have to either buy a new phone or update the current one. Problem is that my company does not allow any rooted devices. Is there any chance to update it to a newer version of Android without root?
Does anybody know? The phone is otherwise great and it would be a bugger having to buy a new one just because of this.
Best regards and thanks a bunch for any possible help here.
regards
You can put Android 12 Pixel Experience on it, default is unrooted. But ofcourse you need to unlock the bootloader.
Thanks for your reply. Now that sounds interesting. I will have to check how that is done. Have not done that before.
Have you got a link for that rom somewhere?
Regards
Basicly all is covered here: https://wiki.pixelexperience.org/devices/NB1/install/
Nokia Bootloader Unlock Took doesn't work anymore but you can still unlock using this guide: https://www.techmesto.com/guide-unlock-bootloader-nokia-android-phones/
After bootloader unlock you can install T-Virus, it includes PixelExperience Android 12, then just take OTA to latest version.
