I live in the UK and I'm going to buy an S10. If I buy the Unlocked international version (Exynos) can I still use features such as WiFi Calling because if not I'm going to import the Snapdragon version as its faster etc.
My carrier is EE.
Also if it wouldn't work out of the box could I flash the UK firmware.
mine works and am on vodafone unlocked

What is the Best factory unlocked model Note 5 for AT&T? I plan on buying one from either b&hphotovideo.com, Best Buy or Amazon. Any issues with buying an unlocked Note 5? Such as updates?
I am just not sure which is the best model n920c, n920g, or n920i
You can research it here:

I personally purchased N920i model because it is unlocked, no carrier apps or logo, works fine with ATT or T-Mobile(4G speed is awesome). But Samsung Pay doesn't work now and no OTA updates since last November.
the 9208 version isn't on your list, but i purchased that version to have dual-sim capability. meaning, 2 simultaneously active sims/hone numbers (home & work). works perfectly wit AT&T. one of my co-workers has the 920i version it works just as well as mine.
Hi,
Sounds like a silly question in a global universe.
I wanna buy the american & chinese version (snapdragon) and use it outside those countries with a non-us/chinese carrier. Will it work without any problems / ROM modifications?
Are those phone bundled to a carrier (e.g AT&T , Sprint) and cannot be bought privately on the web (Amazon, eBay etc..) ?

Those carrier versions such as T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T you can purchase it directly from the carriers and Samsung.com. However, you cannot use it internationally yet. Keep in mind that those carrier versions also carry unnecessary bloatware. You need to pay it off and ask the carrier to unlocked it since it is locked to the carrier. You can purchase the unlocked version from Samsung.com and use it internationally out of the box. I believe the unlocked version use the same Snapdragon chipset. It does not say detail in the website.
It should work fine with Chinese carrier. You might want to check if they have the same broadcast band.
Hi,
Im from Mexico and I just bought an unlocked Note 8 from amazon(sprint version) because it was really cheap ($650 USD) , i flashed the unlocked rom and now i want to use Samsung Pay which has just been launched in my country but because my phone is from the US i not able to make it work with my cards (as expected). My question is: I have a US Note 8 (Snapdragon) my country is Exynos only so i cant flash the local rom but could i flash only the home CSC from the unlocked Mexican rom to enable samsung pay?
As several threads mentioned Samsung pay is running based on the CSC, I have similar request with you, just want to add different cards from two country
Hello did you got it to work?
I've got a Hong Kong N9500 and have been happily using Samsung Pay in the UK for the last 2 weeks no problems.
The only drawback is that you won't get the local offers and vouchers etc but the card payments work perfectly fine
Hi all,
I'm finally moving from an iPhone to Samsung and have ordered an international, Dual-SIM version of the Note 8 from an Irish seller. The phone is unlocked and I plan to use it in the UK, however I've been reading on these forums about region locks prevent the use of Samsung Pay.
I plan to use it in UK, so could this be a problem and would I need to flash UK firmware onto it? Or will it work fine?
Thank in advance guys!
And other thing, will VoLTE work on that international version in the UK?
Thanks!
Given that I’m probably not going to root the phone or anything which unlocked version is better for the UK- do I have to worry about region lock even if it’s carrier unlocked

Hi,
I have been using the U.S Unlocked Snapdragon s10 version in the U.K for a few months.
No issues for me so far.
The only network issue you may run in to, is the 3 Network. The phone does not work on their 2G connections, but all other networks are good to go.
I have traveled in a few EU countries (UK, Spain, Italy, Romania) with my unlocked US S10, using local SIM/carriers (mostly Vodafone, sometimes roaming from one country to another).
I didn't have any issues...
