can't swipe away audio controls in notification tray after closing app - Samsung Galaxy S10 Questions & Answers

I like the player controls in the notification screen, however I can't swipe them away after I've closed the app. The only way to get rid of them is to disable and re-enable the apps notification. Is there any way to get around this?

[Q] [Zeus 6.x] Swipe notifications not triggering associated actions

Hi,
question about the swipe notfications:
Usually when you click on a notification, the associated action is carried out (if any) and the notification disappears. Now, when swiping a notification away, it will disappear without executing any further actions. Is this the intended behavior?
Example:
I was looking at a video streamed via theSoundhound app and after switching to another app, Sundhound continues to play in the background and displays a notification "Click to stop" or something. I swiped it away and the stream kept on playing so I had to navigate back to the app and stop it there.
Thanks
Jo
Yes, it is supposed to act like this. Clicking the notification executes a relevant action while swiping it away simply dismisses it.

No music lock screen controls

That's one minor issue for me
Hmm, I somewhat have this problem, too. Google Play Music has lock screen controls, but Amazon Music does not. Haven't tried any other of the apps.
I only tried Spotify, I can pull down the notification screen and see a small widget to control but I was hoping to have the full lock screen with the album art
the default music app has lock screen controls. (see attached screenshot)
i checked it with PIN security screen lock & Pattern security screen lock
I have this issue as well. I tested it with Spotify. My finding is that once a notification is "read/view" it will not show up in the lock screen anymore. Once the song finishes and switch to a new song, the notification comes back. If I starts Spotify and stay in the app the notification is available on the lock screen.
I decided to install "next" lock screen by Microsoft while I thinker with modifying the framework and system ui.
I got a Spotify notification widget in my lockscreen (i still wish it was a full screen album artwork) . Go to settings, notification center, notice management and then find Spotify and make it important... I also noticed I changed other apps like Instagram and Fb messenger and other ones were listed as other. So I changed it
If you go into Spotify then go to another app your notification widget will disappear until the next song.
Edit:
If you're rooted you can use my modded SystemUI apk if you use some of the popular music streaming app..

Does EMUI allow persistent notifications?

Is there a way to allow persistent notifications to not be swiped away on the P9?
On AOSP for instance, you can't swipe away a music notification unless the music is playing. On the P9, you can swipe it away at any time.
It's the same with battery monitoring apps. On AOSP they cannot be swiped away but on EMUI they can.
Can I change this behaviour?

Click to collapse
Yeah I'd really like to know this too, I'm using a honor 8, got it up and running today and that persistent notifications can be swiped away is really annoying, I want my Tasker and clipper+ in the notifications

Notification issue?

My notification dots are frozen, it tells me I have a notification for Facebook, Twitch and when I open the app they don't seem to clear, I shouldn't even be getting notifications because they're dismissed through the drop down when I get them. Happened in the last few hours. Anyone else having the same issue?
I haven't experienced your problem. I'm assuming by notification dots you mean App Badges that show the unread/unresponded to count. These typically go away when you tap the icon in the notification panel to view the event or swipe the notification away in the notification panel. If you're doing one or both of these actions and the count remains try disabling the App Badges for the affected apps and then enabling them again.
Settings>Apps>locate the affected apps>Notifications>App Badges, toggle it off, then back out and then go back in and toggle it on if you still wish to view them.
In another instance where I saw something like this happening the user also tried clearing the cache and app data, but didn't achieve success until they uninstalled the app and installed it again. That wouldn't work for Facebook however because it is a pre-installed app and therefore cannot be uninstalled but it can be disabled. That could be enough if the above method doesn't work for you.

Disable brief notification pop up

The brief notification is where you get a small pop up at the top of your screen. How the hell do you disable this globally? Some apps like WhatsApp you can do from within the actual app's settings. Others you can turn off priority notifications.. But some apps don't have any valid setting. How can I disable this for all apps. Its such a useless feature for me. I just want the regular icon in the status bar and nothing popping up
they used to be called heads up notifications I think and yes I'd welcome a solution for this too.
I currently run my phone in 'do not disturb' mode 24/7 because I despise their intrusions.
