Have you rebooted?
Is this stock ROM, have you changed anything?
Can you download apps from the play store (the only time I had this was when I didn't wipe after flashing)
Above post is correct if you've flashed a rom. See here for an example. Really need more info on what you've done, flashed etc if anything.
Stock rom last update, yes i can download apps from playstore.
I rebooted device, camera opens but now cant focus correctly, tapping screen for autofocus still same.
This issue appear after couple days when GCam port
It has to be that Gcam port
If it was the stock ROM update we would be seeing a lot more threads!
Uninstalled GCam reboot, issue still appears.
This happens to me more than I'm comfortable with. It does this every now and then when I double click power button to phone camera.
Half the Time, the camera is connected and is working but it still makes me wait 5 seconds to close the app and reopen it .
I was recording a short film and it was quite annoying as it kept happening again and again

Similar thing happened before but only the 48MP camera wouldn't connect so original camera app never opens.
Google cam still worked with wide and 2x camera. It only fixed after I format my data(accidentally, but it worked)

Tried hard reset wipe data nothing.

OK, I have your stupid question of the day...
Why is it that when I flash certain ROMs, and log in to Google, that they automatically download and add the apps I have, and other ROMs don't do this?
Is this a setting? Is this due to something I'm doing while flashing? Is this just based on how the ROM programmer set up the ROM? Phase of the moon? Which way my cat is laying on the floor?

It depends... if your cat looks like this, maybe this has an effect on the moon phases.

Actually I do have a 15lb cat who almost looks like that....
OK, then how do I make Google automatically restore all my apps to my phone when I install a new ROM? I have the option checked to backup and restore from Google. But some ROMs do this, and others don't.
Its in the beginning start up mate. The last page of the set up says "restore" or something like that from Google. Its with every rom.

OK then I'm doing it right from my end. So it appears to be a matter of some ROMs doing the restore of apps, and others not doing it for some reason.
Anyone know of a way I can force this to happen?
I flashed some wrong kernel last Friday and the issue happened, now if I use my finger, I just can't press to the right spot on the screen, it always actually touches somewhere a little lower , but the S pen is working fine.

Man, you are a full-on life saver. I got my phone into this state last night after having a problem installing a custom recovery, and nothing worked to get it back. I even went so far as to revert it to 100% stock with a full factory reset with no improvement. I gave up and went to bed finally about 6am. I just found your solution, and it did the trick.

hi yesterday i receive my huaweip9 32gb.The only problem is i can remove the 3g signal is next the the battery icon top right.i have disable the data disable wi fi and the choice if wi fi has not good signal connect to my dat its all closed byt the 3g is always thers only if i remove my sim card.Someone said that my mobile search for the best network choice so thats why it appears other says that with the launcer nova i dont rember now i can remove the icon.Please if anybody know how to remove it it really sucks and confuses me thank you

Install custom rom. In K-settings you have more features.

It's a part of theme. Download theme editor from play store and you can able to change.

Hey everyone,
I got my new Mi A2 a couple days ago from Amazon which came with Android version 8.1.0, but every time I've tried to update over OTA, I get the error "Couldn't update Installation problem" like in the attached screenshot. I've tried installing with and without the SIM card and over data and WiFi, but nothing seems to be working.
There seems to have been a similar error with tampered Mi A2 Lite phones, but as far as I can tell, I have a legit untampered A2 (with product name jasmine_sprout on its build). I've also attached the screenshots from my "About phone" page if that helps.

I must've tried at least 30 times at this point...I'll keep trying it and update if it works out. Seems a bit weird that it wouldn't update right out the box!

Unfortunately not. I had the phone for a week and kept trying to update. Didn't work out in the end so just returned. Wondering how widespread of a problem this is with the Mi A2...

I got the phone yesterday and it came with 8.1.0 but i didn't try to update instead I unlocked the bootloader and updated to latest pie with mi flash tool. As i didn't find any Full OTA which can be flashed directly from the phone just like other device.
Update, but before hitting the restart button eject your sim card! It should work! I got this solution from Xiaomi forums! Weirdly enough, it worked!

What do you mean wifi distribution not working, does that mean you can't use wifi?
And can you hear phone calls, since the android 11 gsi from Google that I flashed before had issues with phone calk(can't hear phone calls)
Do I really need to format my data, I don't want to erase my data again, I erased my data a lot of times and I don't want to erase again
Now I installed it, sms doesn't seems to be working, some apps require certification code sent to my sms, but I can't receive anything from sms, the app still works(by working I mean it can open and go to other tabs, didn't test sending messages via sms yet)

Also, anyone got a issue with videos? I just enabled developers options and now videos are laggy, they stopped playing sometimes and then continues, I tried to re lock the developer options and it still won't work

Wifi is working fine but I can't receive any calls or even make. Is there any kernel that I need to flash :crying:
