Has anyone tried to flash it on an encrypted storage on OOS 5.0.8 with unlocked bootloader without having to format internal storage?

Always showing error 7.

Installation failed in recovery

I'm on ext4 unencrypted, TWRP 3.3.0.1.
Anyone else with that and already updated?

Flashed this from latest 5.0.8, encrypted. Flashed in TWRP, then followed by TWRP afterwards. Says data decryption unsuccessful upon rebooting, TWRP is prompting for password.
Any ideas?

You need to completely format your internal memory to boot this ROM on unlocked bootloader. This is a known bug on Pie firmware.
The real issue is, you'll have to format your internal memory again if you wish to go back to Oreo OOS.
Other solution is, you can re-lock your bootloader and flash it with stock recovery. But relocking bootloader will wipe internal memory too.

So, wipe internal memory either way? To clarify, you mean data + sdcard files (photos, music etc.)?

Yes sir! This happened to everyone blindly flashing the first community beta thinking it will work anyway. Then we realized that the problem was the new firmware. It doesn't like unlocked bootloader and would not boot your internal memory encrypted on Oreo OOS. It will require you to format your /data, remove encryption, and then boot to re-encrypt using new pie firmware.

Thanks. I have gone with the prompted "format phone" upon booting, hopefully that does the trick. Seems to boot okay.

questions about restoring to stock
it would be nice if someone can help me. so i am running LOS with TWRP on my OP3 and now i want to install pie OOS and relock bootloader. what are the steps? and does it matter if my phone is bought in china and originally had the chinese firmware?

No Needed to Format your Phone if you followed this my this guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/how-to/guide-flash-community-pie-rom-losing-t3922902
I just installed from Havoc OS to Official Pie without losing internal data,(No need to format Whole phone, & It will boot up much faster)

So what, they were aware of the issue with upgrade having unlocked bootloader and they released "stable" version anyway? It's some kind of joke...
I was upgrading without any data formatting since the first OP3 OOS release. I am staying at Oreo until they fix it.

As reported on our Z2 Forum BT can not be switched off.

A new rom that will keep Xperia Z2 Alive...thanks
And as far as i know, RR O maybe will be released next year..maybe
Something is really wrong with microsd card mount in system. It detects like a new card after each reboot. File system exFAT. Also there is second fat for APPS2SD (f2fs).

Oh and great work there.its extremely faster when compared to nougat.and also smoother. Thanks!!!!

Hey everyone!
We are super excited to announce that we are ready to kick off the Open Beta Program for the OnePlus 5 today! The first Open Beta build based on Android 8.0 for the OnePlus 5 is available for download now. Here’s the changelog of this build.
[Changelog]
System
Updated to Android O (8.0)
Added Picture in Picture
Added Auto-fill
Added Smart text selection
New Quick Settings design
Added Parallel Apps
Updated security patch to October
Launcher
Added notification dots
New app folder design
Now able to upload photos directly to Shot on OnePlus
[Instructions and Info]
Please keep in mind that this is beta software. These builds are sometime NOT as stable as our official OTAs generally are. By installing this update, you accept the potential risks of data loss.
If you would like to join our Open Beta Program, please refer to the flashing instructions [HERE] and download the full ROM [HERE].
Once you migrate to the Beta path, you will continue to receive Open Beta OTAs. You will NO LONGER receive the regular Official Stable OTAs.
Reverting back to the Official OTA path from the Beta path will require a full install and clean flash (FULL WIPE of all data and cache). Please carefully follow the flash instructions below.
Please be aware that all data will be wiped during the revert-back process, so do remember to backup your data in advance.
Download the roll-back build provided [HERE] to Internal storage.
Shut down your device and enter recovery mode by long pressing the Power + Volume Down key simultaneously.
Select “Install from Local” and choose the downloaded build to install.
Reboot your device after installing the build. You have to re-enter recovery mode to Wipe data cache and Erase everything(Music, pics, etc).
Reboot your device again and you're all good to go.
[Kind Reminders]
As this is a major update we hope that you will fill out our survey on UX & UI [HERE].
And please remember to tell us about any bugs you may find using the bug report forums, found [HERE].
Since our buddy @Adam Krisko is away from the office this weekend, I helped him to pass this good news to everyone. Make sure to let us know how you feel about this beta build in the comments below, we are watching.
[Flash Instructions]
Download the OOS Open Beta 1 Official | Mega mirror
Plug your phone into your computer and copy the downloaded .zip to your phone’s storage. If you’re using a Mac, you can install Android File Transfer for this operation.
After the .zip file is copied to your phone, reboot your phone into recovery mode. To do this, shut down your device and turn it back on while holding the power and volume down buttons simultaneously.
Choose "Install from internal storage/Install from local", find your .zip file and click on "Install" to confirm.
Wait a while, your phone should now update to the selected build and reboot automatically to take you into OxygenOS.
Thanks to OnePlus team.

How To Guide [SCRIPT][FLASHABLE] Encryption disablers for Redmi Note 10 Pro (MIUI vendor, OSS vendor) [SWEET]

So, here is a little script, which I modified to work on Redmi Note 10 Pro (tested and working on sweet). I didn't create this, only modified it, so all credits goes to ghostrider_reborn.
Edit:
found another working encryption disabler (rmcrypt.zip), working out of the box, so no edit by me, main difference is better error handling - all credits goes to [email protected]
Edit2:
just to have all bases covered, and all info on one place, I attached encryption disabler script for OSS vendor based ROMs, originally created for POCO X3 NFC, but working as well on sweet, created by ghostrider_reborn, so all credits belongs to him...
DISCLAIMER: You know the drill - You are responsible for your own actions - if you choose to use this script on your phone - I am not responsible for any damage that may occurs while (or after) using this script - it works on my device, but I can't guarantee it will work on yours. Good work...I will try
Thank you for the post/modiciation and the original developer too for his work!
So when i want to change rom, I don't need to do a format data over and over again right?
*On my previous device (ginkgo) when i flashed a custom rom, I don't need to do a format data, i just need to flash this Disable dm verity zip and rom successfully booted without wiping my internal

yes, hopefully
(on my previous device (surya) there was this one specific custom ROM (RRemix), for which wipe data was not enough and you must format data even on decrypted storage if you wanted to have clean flash/installation, so I do hope this will not be the case on sweet)
Hallo,
Can somebody confirm this script working?
i tried everything on the world but no suc6
format data x times not working
But i am tired to complete install a rom and all other stuff again and again

You can check attached screenshots in OP, there you can see status of my phone - NOT ENCRYPTED. I achieve that by flashing the attached script and FORMAT DATA confirmed by YES. So yes, this script works, at least on my phone did...
added another working encryption disabler script (tested on sweet), check the OP
so which should i use?

- try rmcrypt.zip, it has at least some error handling, which can tell you, if something is wrong with the process of the disabling encryption
- the first one modified by me, is very basic, super simple one, which only blindly try to copy necessary files to the needed location, but never check if that is actually accessible or not, so in the end you'll never know, if that copy process really did what it should (I encountered at least one case, where first script says it finished successfully, but in the end, after reboot to system, my /data partition ended encrypted)
same here, update to miui 12.5 and flash the needed files phone is incrypted again but if i restore the miui v12.0.15 who was decrypted its decryped after reboot

you can also try latest Orange Fox recovery, which has built in switch for disable forced encryption and is optimized for work with MIUI, but if that actually works you'll need to find out by yourself...

Swx ROM Galaxy A71:
Hi guys, here I share my ROM for the Galaxy A71, I am not responsible for damaged phones, install at your own risk.
This rom was born from the need to have root or some other modification in stock but Samsung has included many limitations which make it difficult to modify in stock.
IMPORTANT:
Using a custom kernel is possible but watch out for possible bugs.
It is recommended that you install the latest firmware to avoid compatibility bugs, use the latest version of TWRP recovery...
TWRP: xda-developers.com/t/android-11-recovery-a715f-twrp-3-5-1...
Spoiler: Features
Debloat
vaultkeeper disabled
FRP removed

Google Discover enabled
Dolby without headphones
Apply themes without trial time limit
Deknoxed
Full Edge Lighting (extra effects unlocked)
Secure Folder working
Performance and battery improvements
Enhacend processing mode
Some updated apps
and more
BUGS: At the moment it has not reported any bug.

Extract Swx ROM with an unzip program

The ROM is based on the latest firmware from the INS region. I would always recommend a clean installation.

In theory it's safe, but have to disable screen lock and encryption to have chances to be safe

Yeah, I'm already unencrypted, but my last and only TWRP backup after the phone repair was with screen pattern and fingerprints disabled...
I'm on faizauthar12 kernel that is for A11 BUB5 stock rom, this is my concern flashing only super.

Ok so i dirtflashed, everything is working fine (but when i reboot the phone it give a message it didnt before, it says some carrier apps need upgrade but it fail to do so).
1 - Disable lockscreen on the ROM
2 - Delete the lockscreen db files via TWRP on Data/System
3 - Nanobackup
4 - Dirt flash the ROM
Besides this error, that is nothing really, it's working fine and quite faster than NcX

Your are tempting me to follow your steps...
Disabling lock pattern and erasing fingerprints it's not enough ?, what files have you deleted ?
I suppose that nanobackup is nandroid backup right ?
forget this

Yes, it's the TWRP nano backup.
For me just disable it wasn't enough, the files are:

Ok so Google Pay isn't Working anymore, on NcX with magisk it was.
Also, the CID Manager message about the carrier update is annoying. I feel it's not due to dirt flash
