Hi
Will I have the GApp in the RM 3 ?
If I buy a Chinese version or European version, what changes inside for the software?
Thx
If you buy Chinese version, root is needed to install Google service.
how can we root this phone ?
Yeah i saw some videos that it was impossible to install Google apps on Chinese model. Better wait for International release next week.

worth or not buy red magic 3?
Worth it. I think this is best smartphone for this price
International model has stock Android.
Stock Android 9 (Pie)
When you’re not gaming, the Red Magic 3 features a Stock Android 9.0 experience.
No bloatware, no pre-installed games, no overbearing skins. It’s everything you want (and nothing you don’t).

Very seriously considering this. Have kind of been on 10 for the last couple months unable to go back until I seen this. What is the process to go from hydrogen to just plain old stock oxygen... Definitely interested in going back or at least attempting to try it out and see if it's what I remember it being, stable, better battery life, Etc. I can always go back to Android 10. If I miss it, but you be on a totally stable build would be kind of cool.

These are personal choices. If I prefer built-in call recorder in complete stock ROM, I have the option to switch on Hydrogen OS. If I like google eco system with stock ROM, I have the option of oxygen OS. Finally Hydrogen OS is for China and Oxygen OS for remaining Globe. Options are always good. Keeps people choosing
I recommend not using this , I flashed it and it's 100% Chinese edition.cant down load any Google apps.the browser is in chinese.if you want to down grade use an oxygen os downgrade zip.complete waste in my opinion.youve been warned.
I am using it as daily driver and no issue at all in downloading google apps also. You have to install google play store apk from apkmirror to get google apps. This Chinese browser is my default browser as its fast and has add blocking feature also

It doesn't have the google play services pre installed but, there is a really easy way to install it
Launch the Mi App Store
Search for Google
Scroll down to the bottom of the list and select this option:
Install Google Play on Xiaomi phone
Though the results will be in Chinese, you should be able to make out the Google Installer app
Select Install, then when it has downloaded tap Open
Hit the big blue circular button to begin installing the various components
You will be prompted to allow the phone to install apps from unknown sources - select Settings, toggle on the slider, then proceed with the installation
Allow any prompts for permissions that pop up
I'm waiting for an EU / global version of this - doesn't seem to be forthcoming...

I suggest to wait longer for global or Xiaomi.EU version better than ( Chinese ) because at most xiaomi rolling it for testing before the final touch
I suggest you to keep on stock rom firmware only.
Root it with magisk. Flash it with twrp.
And everything is fine.

Is there a Dutch user who can answer my question:
Somebody bought the Chinese version of MI 11, flashed an EU rom, is rooted and can pay with the ING Bank app with nfc?
I want to buy this Chinese version and use in the Netherlands without consessions/problems.
Is it possible?
Thanks and greetz..
I am using the ING Banking App, too, but I'm not from NL, I'm from Germany. I'm rooting my phone tomorrow, so if you can wait for a day, I will be able to report back about my results!
Cool, I have no hurry as I have not ordered the phone yet. I really like to hear your experience with rooting and all... Thanks for now
I just flashed and rooted mine. ING app still works, it doesn't even mention anything about my device being rooted. It just works out of the box.
When I use Magisk (and a patched boot image for magisk), SafteyNet doesn't pass for me and thus Google Pay doesn't work. I removed Magisk again and voila - SafetyNet check passes again.
Rooting itself was rather simple - downloaded the custom ROM, followed the official instructions to patch the boot image with Magisk, flashed, and boom, all done. I un-rooted by running the update script of the ROM.
Thanks for letting me know.
It works when unrooted., or also when rooted?
Why you unroot?
Thanks

It was not working with root, but I rooted again with a new image and now everything works perfectly. So:
- Xiaomi.eu ROM
- Magisk (root)
- SafetyNet OK
- Widevine OK
- Google Play Protect is certified
- ING App and Google Pay work
- After rooting, I can finally find the Netflix app on the Play Store. On the CN ROM, Netflix wasn't visible, lol.
Everything works with root + xiaomi.eu ROM, better than before.

I have found one tutorial but it is not very clear. I would not like to brick my device. If someone could help mi to install magisk I would appreciate. Thank you

First of all, download the Xiaomi.EU ROM and install it - there's a thread in this forum describing how to do that step by step. This will wipe your phone.
During that process, you will have extracted the ROM from a zip file to a folder. In that folder, there will be a folder called images (or something like that. It contains a lot of .img files, e.g. boot.img).
Follow the steps on this website, using the boot.img from that folder: https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html
DO NOT download Magisk Manager from any other website than the official GitHub Repo, releases can be found at https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases .
After that, take the patched image from your phone and use fastboot to flash it to both a and b boot partitions.
This isn't an exact step by step but if you use some of the other posts on this forum, you'll be able to piece together how to do it.

I can't answer that question because I don't know what makes a phone worth buying for you. It has a great display and camera, is incredibly fast, and looks and feels amazing. However, the battery life is a bit on the short side. You can get through the day with no problems, but if you use your phone pretty much all the time, you'll need to recharge it in the evening.
For me, it was absolutely worth it, coming from the Nokia 8 Sirocco. But for you, that may be a different story, depending on your current situation and needs.
And yes, I'm using the Chinese version. The black 12/256 GB one.
Thanks for the good explanation
Than the final question... Where did you buy it, good seller / shipping?

I bought it at CECT-SHOP using EU priority line for shipping, it took a week or 8 days (don't remember) to arrive. I was lucky though because my package got through customs very quickly. All in all, the Mi 11 with 12/256 GB, the GaN 55W fast charger, some screen protectors and the fast shipping set me back about 760€ before taxes.
Don't forget about potential import taxes.

As you all know, stable Android 11 is actually rolling out on Taiwanese versions of the Rog Phone 3!! The Taiwanese version is available for download on their website!
Can somebody tell if we can download this update all around the world (as the Taiwanese version is also WW) and install it safely on another WW Rog Phone 3 (here in Belgium) or we have to wait for OTA or official availability in our country???

Not too sure about this but yes some vpn's aren't working.
Always use the latest version, no matter what. People complain that it drains the battery faster, while others complain that some apps are not supported.
Whenever a newer version is updated, all the apps, battery functions, and other things get updated accordingly. You cannot expect a quick update from others when the new operating system is updated.
Hi,
sorry Im newish to this. I got the phone last week and one critical thing is to have call recording on it. I went through various posts and there was some stock oneplus apk dialers (says with call recording) instead of the google one.
I managed to install and yes, the dialer apk (called contacts) works fine and I disabled the google dialer(thats fine as well).
HOWEVER, I still dont get the call recording function. I presume because it is a global version?(see attachment).
What are my options as this feature is important for me...can I flash it to indan rom without bricking it and would that help? Ive seen posts that made me hesitant(mostly color os to indian oxygen) as the unit seemed to get bricked.
I also tried some adb commands but the phone never took them. the version I have is A15. Thank you so much and I hope I made sense.

Install Oxygen Updater from Google Play, it will let you download latest Indian version .zip update (use ADVANCED MODE to allow region switch EU|GLOBAL to IN ).
After that, use local upgrade to install IN OTA upgrade.
If you can't use this metod... go to Oxygen OS Repo for your device and download the latest INDIA .zip. Then local install...
You might need an apk for local install on OXYGEN OS 12 (OPLocalUpdate_For_Android12.apk)
, search it in this forum...

Are you rooted? If yes, you don't need to change region.
You can use Magisk Modul/apk to record over stock/Google dialer.
