FDE.AI v3.19
LKT v1.8
NFS-INJECTOR v6.3
I've used LKT and FDE, and i can't really tell the diffrent between two, only one thing that FDE doesn't need to change profile by myself(LKT need LKT manager)
Haven't try NFS yet.
Can anyone tell me which might be the best choice now?
BTW I'm Taiwanese and i am not good at English, if something type wrong plz don't mind, also comment with simply&easily that I can easier understand, thank for your help and apologize for my personal problem.

Ideas for a Custom Rom

Hello everyone,
I was reading all the posts about Custom Roms and I wanted to make something like an "XDA-Rom"... Maybe it would be better if I explain what I mean
Beginning from the system, I'd say it should be a very lightweight Rom (like the Gilgamesh one), so, without almost all the LG crapware. But I'd keep only few things of this softwares:
- contact manager (so far it's the best one I've found, but maybe because I lack of experience)
- keyboard (on some videos they say it's the fastest one, but I may be in error)
- LG home and Home switcher, so that we can keep the mirroring app working when needed.
Then, I'd add the last MoDaCo kernel (the ROM should be working in EXT4, if I understtod correctly, this shall make the phone faster), maybe we could make a proper boot animation, and just few app that are (in my opinion) the only really needed, like the gmail app, the calendar one and only the basic things. We could even update the baseband and root the phone directly from the rom, so that after a fresh install it's already running. I'd replace even the LG lockscreen, that is really nice, but it's too slow (when I switch on the screen, I see the home and then the locked screen, this shouldn't happen with the default lockscreen).
Ofc, any suggestion is welcome
Thanks for reading, and I hope my idea is not that bad
I agree on the bootanimation.
Only on that? d'oh, I wrote for half an hour btw, I'd add Root Explorer as default as well... but I don't know how to do, I mean, would be enough to create the ROM with the kitchen (really a nice tool!) and then edit the *img files adding the software I want in the /system/app directory? Maybe this is a noobish question, but it's the first time I even get closer to creating a custom rom
Oh, integrate BLN to have notifications would be a great idea ! (if you touch the kernel)

the root explorer is not for free.. so forget about this
Why? Install modaco and use filexplorer and delete all thing u dont want instead
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA Premium App
For the experience, I'd like to test
Just use the online kitchen...
I was actually 30 mins from posting a pretty close ROM to what you mention here yesterday, but built the one I'd like online instead (except for some tweaks I put in laster on).
If people is more open for a ROM like this for direct download, I'm happy to compile/maintain it Just thought that it wasn't needed...

[rom] miui 1.12.2

This rom is based from zukriaksah's miui 1.12.16. His had a good foundation just some issue. I have made some changes to it and so far things are working (keep in mind that this has not been tested for a little more than 2 days).
Link https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B6a1DYyFKfu1YjI4MDg0YTEtZGExOC00ZGZkLTg4MGEtMmM0Y2ZjYTQwYzlh
(sorry file are on work pc and this is the only way that I can get them up...so if some one can move to a better site for downloading...pls feel free to do so)
you will have issues with wifi on this rom - the work around that I used it to load cacingkalung's modded version of the sd kernel...get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20326475&postcount=240
had to change the build.prop this phone keep rebooting with some of the files that I had to switch out. I used files from tj and issac.
usb and headphone issues are gone (so far)
added the miui 4-way reboot (hold power button for options)
the fm radio that is in the rom fc's (wish someone can fix this..I am at a loss, I know that it has to be a driver issue but I have no clue which one have been searching for weeks it seems to correct this...I really miss the radio)
added some init.d tweaks...these are found in the various forums here on xda
you might have to load script manager to get them to work (I load this anyways so I dont know if it is needed)
what I added to the init.d:
10cpu - sets the cpu values and govenor
11 iosched - set i/o scheduler
both of these you do not need if you use setcpu or other program like it...I just dont like to have these loaded they take up space and memory.
80netspeed - internet speed hack (helped on mine)
97ks - some kernel mods - helps rom run smoother in my opinion
98kt - internal task killer values
you dont need these you can remove them...play around with the settings you might be able to tweak the rom more to you liking...these are the values that worked best for me
I dont have much of a clue on the battery life yet...have had phone up and down so much that I have not let it go threw my daily pace
So far things seem stable...still no HDMI, dont know if we will ever have this...I am not that good with dev have look at other roms but if the drivers aint right it wont work
I also use force2sd to move the programs to the sdcard to free up the internal memory...everytime that I have tried to include apps2sd thing go wrong..this way works for me so I am not going to worry about it
you will probably get unknown for the carrier...if you know your spn values you can edit it and the name will show up...there are progams in the market that will fix it...other have had luck with out needing a program...In the miui forums they have miui extra setting and they say that you can use it to change the carrier name (never tried)
make sure that you do a system wipe before installing....I dont know what issue you will get if you dont

hey COWSGO..... really thanks for the this beautiful ROM.
quite smooth ...... experience .....
really happy with the ROM.
next time when you update the ROM with Bluetooth wish following update also ....
1. Camera if possible (Front)
2. Time should be at center of status bar like what you did with 1.12.2
3. FM if you able to repair ....
enjoy your holidays .....
Dont know if anybody has gps issues or proximity issues....I did....this is what I did to solve this
use root explorer goto system\lib\hw and rename two files to .old
the files are gps.fb0.so and sensors.fb0.so
then goto settings click programs and goto call settings and turn off enforce proximity (what ever the option is under use proximity sensor
reboot....after I did this the sensor works with incoming and outgoing calls and the gps locks in under 30 seconds. used gps status from the market to confirm...dont for get the you might have to edit the gps.conf file in system\etc (I think)...if you didnt edit this file after you loaded the rom then it will be set for north-america.
dont know why this worked....has to be a issue in the files...when I get more time I am going to decompile them to see what is different

[Q] New Rookie Kernel Builder - seeking advice

Hi,
I am going to chance my arm and try and produce a modified kernel for my Z3C. The reason/incentive is because I want to add NFS filesystem support to my device for Kodi/XBMC. I've had a look at a guide that suggests all the necessary components are made available by Sony to do this.
1. Have I missed something and is there already something to provide NFS without me wasting my time?
2 Is this a stupid idea to start off on for someone with no dev experience?
3. Are there are any devs on here who would be open to offering limited support/advice if I get really stuck?
4. Assuming I am successful I will of course load the Kernel up on here for other people to use if they wish.
Cheers,
Ant

Hello, there Sultanxda
I'm posting this post?with the hope that you'll see what I have to say.
First of all, congrats on the work you done on CM*13 and Lineage *14. Congrats on the touches you added to both.
I love the stability, the battery life on your CM*13, BUT, your camera, or CM'S camera user interface, I just dont think its that much USER FRIENDLY as OOS camera is. I have tried so many ways to get that camera ported onto this ROM and withkut success and I'm sure others have tried it too.
Through this post I am requesting a port file or an update which provides both cameras and let us choose which one we use, or use both in diff situations.
Look, man I get it, you've put work in the camera, BUT the user interface. Please allow us to use OOS camera with no issues.
I'm sure other people would appreciate it too if you would do that. That way your ROM would be the best ROK there is for OnePlus3T. The reason I left your rom ia because of the camera. The camera is one of the most important things in my phone since i capture moments, and I there are moments that I want to capture on the spot, quick and easy, moments when I want to take a quick video and by the time I bring up the video feature its too late, the moment is gone. I hope that you can underatand me of why I want the OOS camera on your rom.

This rom ships with Snap and OnePlusCamera. It is 14.1 - not 13. RAW pic saving and burst mode doesn't work, but evryting else is working.
OnePlus does not use HAL3, but HAL1 with proprietary call backs to framework/av (libcameraservice) to implement some features of HAL3 to HAL1-running OnePlusCamera. Since this is neither real HAL1, nor HAL3 - and because this is proprietary - it's not easy to implement in lineageos. @vavill is working on this:

I completly misunderstood your question.
If your question was: "Can I use OnePlusCamera from @nvertigo's cm-14.1 rom on @Sultanxda's cm-13.0 rom?", the answer is: no, but you can use the android 6 version.
Just copy these files from stock OxygenOS 3.x.x (you need this older version for cm-13.0):
Code:
/system/priv-app/OnePlusCamera/OnePlusCamera.apk
/system/priv-app/OnePlusGallery/OnePlusGallery.apk
/system/lib64/libfilter-sdk.so
/system/lib64/libopbaselib.so
/system/lib64/libopcameralib.so
/system/lib64/libopcamera.so
If this works, make a flashable zip of it.
A private word:
Your posting feels unfair, barefaced and offending. Where are your bug reports and/or logs? Have you asked for help? I havn't found one single word on your issues in the rom thread. You demonstrate a lack of respect for my work and real bad manner.

Not home right now. I appreciate your guide, will try it when I get home. Look, lad, I didn't meat to offend, I have used your rom as my daily driver for a month since I gave up on SULTAN's because there is no OOS camera on it. I enjoyed using it, but I was missing xposed and the fact that sultan's uses Android 6 which in my opinion is more stable.
Again didn't mean to offent no one, is just the fact that sultan's offers xposed due to it being 6.0 and thats why I think battery life is better on that, since it's not as heavily loaded as 7.0 or 7.1 is.
Thanks again for the guide, looking forward to giving it a try. Also what do you mean by "If this works, make a flashable zip of it.", do you mean after I drop in the files from OXYGEN OOS to sultan's OS create a zip then flash it and then see if it works?

[EOL][MOD] BlackenedMod v3.1 (Pixel 3 / Pixel 3 XL)

Introduction:
Hello everyone!
The idea to this 'project' did blossom after having an conversation with @pkgnex in the past about the general idea of creating something else that follows what he started with his PK's Tuning Script for Pixel 2 (XL) but with a twist, mainly as a complement to his own thread that you can find here, but also with a completely different vision and focus on what the script itself should achieve (and deliver) for kind of results for myself and for all of you personally, of course, that wants to try it out and use it as a "daily driver".
Shortly explained.
These scripts is created with the goal of improving both battery life and performance on our Pixel 3 (XL) devices, and after a whole range of configurations and various set-ups, I've come up with something that, in my eyes, is worth sharing with all of you so that you can try it out yourself and judge on your own, with constructive feedback on what can be improved or added in future releases - if desired. My philosophy is, and will always be, this:
If something can be improved or altered in a positive way so the average user can feel and see a difference, then go for it. Non stop.
The latest release can be found here.
Disclaimer:
This is presented as "what if". If this modification screws up or breaks anything for you, I am not the one to be held responsible. It's a free will to try out this kind of changes/modifications/addons/tweaks, just don't blame the inventors for eventual bad results and/or screw-ups.
Note: These scripts is not recommended to be modified or customized by the user.
Features:
Reduced battery consumption
Device specific enhancements for best possible balance between battery life & performance
Enabled, and fully configured, Boeffla generic kernel wakelock blocker
Disabled a lot of useless stuff at kernel level (Improves battery life as well as performance)
CPUSet improvements & optimizations
Power efficiency enhancements
Wide IO block tuning (Reduces the possibility of hiccups, lags and overhead)
Possibly other miscellaneous things I've forgotten to write down here, both big and small.
Requirements/what you need for getting these scripts fully working:
An unlocked bootloader
Your own specific choice of kernel
Latest possible version of Magisk
Busybox for Android NDK Magisk Module by @osm0sis
Patience
Installation/How-To use & abuse:
1) Download the attached ZIP
2) Extract the scripts
3) Move the scripts to the following location;
/data/adb/service.d and give it the following & needed file permissions (0775)
4) Reboot your phone, let Android boot to the launcher and let Magisk boot service do its crucial magic (takes a few seconds before the scripts is fully up and running around behind the scenes)
5) Enjoy!
Note: If you still are unsure how to do for making my kernel configuration / modification work & be up and running behind the scenes, then please read @Phalanx7621 phenomenal guide here or check out @Phalanx7621 in-depth video here. The installation method is the same for all generations of released Pixels!

Thank you for this, I will give it a try. I was hoping someone would come up with a script that we can use to automate whatever we want at the kernel level. I feel like this could make the stock kernel much better as far as battery life and performance. I know you said use whatever kernel, but Do you recommend using the stock kernel for this?

Of course. BlackenedMod is universal across the whole Pixel 3 (XL) line-up, so it will work more than perfect with stock kernel, if that is what you are using!
:highfive:
On 2xl there was a file wich showed that mod works. How about 3 xl?
I remember on the pixel 2 XL there would be a file formed internal storage that showed that the script was working. That doesn't seem to happen on this device?

i was using proton kernel. so i went back to stock kernel through fastboot. upon booting the white google splash screen popped for about 1 sec then my phone rebooted and i got the your device is corrupt screen. i then rebooted to bootloader and loaded twrp img file. i then rooted the stock kernel with magisk. after that i still got the your device is corrupt message but i was able to continue after that and it booted up fine. so looks like you dont want to do this on stock kernel that is not rooted. heh.
it looks like my phone keeps saying my device is corrupted. i've restarted 2 times and both times it says that and you cant get past that screen unless you hit continue. any ideas how to get this to work without the phone doing that?

For now, you have to manually create a folder in your internal storage named "logs" (without quotes) because of some security kind of thing that Google have addee which prevents "automatically" created folders to even be made at all.
Otherwise the specific output log, that tells you if the script could execute or not, won't be generated because of a non-existing path / folder.
I will though look around for a possible workaround and see if it can be added directly within the BlackenedMod script for maximal flexibility directly on-the-fly.

You need Magisk (=root) and the Busybox Magisk module for even being able to use BlackenedMod.
Installed in Pixel 3 with Botleggers and Proton V10, at the moment everything is perfect, thanks for the work! I will report results!

I am keeping it universal with everything good / great / greater than greatest from every kernel organized in the same package and place.
so i followed instructions, got it all done, rebooted, i'm good to go? don't need to do anything just set it up and go right?
Is there a way to tell if this is working?
