Magisk above 16.7 does not work (bootloop) - Magisk

When i launch magisk manager 5.8.3 or 5.9.1, it requires updating the version of magisk. Almost all modules require a version higher than 17. Phone "zte blade v9". Twrp does not decrypt userdata. I can install magisk 16.0 - 16.7 any version.
How i can install magisk 18 or 19?
No logs in adb logcat. Phone reboots after logo.
Sorry if this problem has already been discussed.

No root prompt in Lineage OS 16.0 with Magisk installed

Dear XDA,
Used TWRP:
Installed latest Lineage OS 16.0 of November 20, 2019 with formatting internals and wiping system, vendor, dalvik and cache.
Installed lastest Magisk v20.1 from GitHub page
Booted ROM and installed "MagiskManager-v7.4.0.apk" from above link
As the result:
MagiskManager shows everything green
No root prompt in any application and Root Checker shows that root is not installed.
Already have tried:
Disabling power optimization entry for MagiskManager
Reinstall Magisk using MagiskManager
What might be the reason of no prompt issue?
Why not AddonSU: this addon disables some applications to use such as Bank or GooglePay which are important here.
Why not SuperSU: is it worth to tell why?
Thank you very much for any working suggestion.

Magisk manager showing Magisk not installed after reboot

Phone: Huawei P20 Lite
ROM: Omni
Magisk: 20.3
Downloaded the Magisk.zip file through Magisk manager.
Flashing the Magisk zip using TWRP is success.
But rebooting to system showing Magisk isn't installed.
So I was to try flash it again. But booting TWRP is failed.
It ended up booting to system. At this time Magisk manager showing it as installed.
To be concluded:
1) Rebooting to system will delete Magisk root.
2) Rebooting to recovery (TWRP) will fail and boot to system. In that case Magisk manager saying root installed
Any solution to make root access stable and keep TWRP in recovery partition?

you can patch magisk to your firmware and install (flash) it with odin. but from my experience, the jhonwu method is really work (magisk in system as root) but I am unable to install twrp alongside that system. I mean yes indeed I can flash twrp into the device but then I lose root access. (many case I got random restart all over again).
now I am kinda confused because I need root and also that twrp is really usefull tool for idiot like me.
FYI; I already try install twrp pre-patched magisk from geiti, but its very unstable. random reboot, and sometimes I am losing the magisk it self (magisk manager suddenly show that magisk isnt intall). thats why I am kinda prefer to root with jhon wu method,
can you guys help me how to flash twrp without ruin magisk that already installed on patched stock firmware?

magisk not working with android10

I have extracted the boot.img from aicp_castor_windy_q-15.0 and patched it according to this procedure[1] getting the magisk_patched_2f9Ux.img and uploaded this with fastbook.exe flash boot. But not getting root.
Magisk app reports Ramdisk: Yes, SAR: yes, A/B: no
device: sony xperia z2 tablet wifi (msm8974)
With the same procedure I am able to root the carbon rom with android 8.1

update magisk 20.3

Hello,
I have Magisk 20.3 and Magisk Manager 7.5.1 installed (OnePlus 7 Pro) and want to update both.
However, any manager app before v22 only allow me to update the manager and not magisk itself.
Any versions after v22 does not allow me to update from 20.3 as they dropped support for versions lower than 20.4.
How can I update magisk 20.3 without loosing data ?
Thank you,
Note:
I tried
Magisk Manager 7.5.0, 7.5.1, 8.0.0, 8.0.7 → only offer to update the manager
Manager App 22.0, 22.1 and later → do not support magisk 20.3
Device: OnePlus 7 Pro, Oxygen OS 10.0.3
Is there a way to update magisk manually?
Same question. I have version 7.5.1, and just attempted to update magisk manager via the prompt within the app. The manager app then prompts with "upgrade to full magisk manager to finish the setup" when I next try to open manager.
Tried:
Uninstalling Manager, reinstalling 7.5.1, and this prompt ""upgrade to full magisk manager to finish the setup" persists, even after deleting all data.

[PROBLEM] Downgrading Magisk

Device: Samsung Galaxy A23
Android version: 12
Magisk version name: 26.1
Magisk version code: 26100
Hello everyone, I am a new member of this forum and I have a problem with Magisk. I want to downgrade the application from version 26.1 to version 24.2, I specify an external source of updates, install everything from the Magisk main screen, and then a system window of Android appears asking for confirmation to update. I click on it, but nothing happens. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this or downgrade Magisk differently without resetting data?
Just download the Magisk 24.2 zip file or any version of zip file you want to downgrade. Then goto Magisk module install screen. And select the downloaded zip and install and then reboot. Magisk is effectively downgraded. Keep in mind that the version you install must compatible with your device and also uninstall all installed modules before downgrade.
