[Question] Mi A2 emmc issue? - Xiaomi Mi A2 / 6X Questions & Answers

Hello, guys. Hope you are doing well! Yesterday I got my Mi A2 4/64GB and I read about the emmc sotrage chip slow read/write speeds so I ran a benchmark. Can you tell me if these results are good? I haven't noticed any slow downs reported by other users, but I'm getting slightly worried. Thanks in advance. Sorry for the big screenshot!
Test was ran with 512mb file.

You've probably got the micron emmc. For that manufacturer it's not bad here. I'm getting pretty same results on stock ROM.
To speed up your emmc, you may format your data to f2fs and flash custom ROM. It'll give you better results.
P.S. Stock ROM doesn't support f2fs, you'll need patched fstab and custom kernel.

[Q] Nexus One showing total of 405mb of RAM

Hi guys,
I've installed CyanogenMod 7.0.0-RC2 yesterday on my new Nexus One.
When I go to "About phone" I see in "Mem info (avail/total)" > "XXX MB / 405 MB"
This is implying that my phone only has 405mb of ram when it should have 512mb.

Is this a problem with my phone or is it normal? Is there any way to reclaim the memory?
Thanks for answering,
PD: Sorry for my english.
The radio I know takes up RAM causing it to appear less in the phone specs. At least on the g2 is like that.

I have the same amount so I guess its ok

512 is before formatting and partitions, etc

Great, thanks for answering.
The RAM is used by lots of other things such as the OS, the launcher, Google core system apps, the system process, etc. Those all reside in RAM.

[Q] System out of space?!

I was trying to install Chainfire 3D and got this msg: ERROR, Not enough space available on /system!
I checked my internal app space and have 1.6GB left...
But when I check with Root explorer I have less then 14MB...
The only thing I did last was install FuguMods lagfix using his app.
I recently flashed JHV to install Tiramisu 5.3 and after doing that, I installed a few apps and the FuguMod to help with the battery drain. Is it possible the lagfix might have something to do with this? I tried to research this abit but i'm sure i missed a few threads about this for sure.
First thing I'm going to disable lag fix on the /system or perhaps all and see if anything changes.
Your help is appreciated!

Probably because you didn't do wipe/ factory reset?
Worth a try

I did a wipe/reset before flashing the ROM, but not after. I was afraid I'd loose the apps that come with the ROM.
To best of my knowledge that won't happen as they are effectively system apps

Ps, always do a wipe after a flash, and preferably do a clean install before one too

Settings > Apps not showing up correct ram usage in CM10

Hi
I have flashed CM10 recently with speedmod on my Note
however I found CM10 with speedmod was quite laggy so I flashed another kernel HydraCore v3 instead
the lag was gone, however i found that the ram usage is very high constantly and i couldn't see the ram usage of individual apps (thus unable to find out the cause of the memory problem)

also, there's another thing
since i have flashed CM10, i have noticed a crazy battery drain on my phone...
it's alright when the screen is off...however if I use it for messaging/internet, the battery could drop by a few% within 10 minutes, any clue of why this is happening?
thanks guys
known issue of hydra kernel,
you really should read threads that contain info on what you flash.....

i might try to flash another kernel then....may be official cm10 kernel?
Battery issue I am not sure. Can be many things from unclean install to apps running beserk. Sorry.

Question Pixel 5a 5G UFS or EMMC storage ?

Hello guys,
Does Google pixel 5a 5G have an UFS or EMMC storage ? And what version is it ?
I've searched all the internet but couldn't get an official answer. Even here in the tech specs its not mentioned at all.
Also some sources say that pixel 5a comes with UFS 2.1 storage
Anyone can confirm ?
It's a UFS 2.1

Thanks for your answer, do you have any proof ? Are you a pixel 5a owner ?
Someone told me this info can be found in fastboot menu
After I contacted google support live, the answer I've gotten:
As per the information shared by our team it comes with 128 GB storage and it does not depend on UFS or EMMC storage.
But still not convinced xD
