Google Camera Port by miniuser123

Hey there,
I used to use the @miniuser123 Google Camera Port for Exynos on my S8+.
Since the original port only supported snapdragon devices this guy figured he might aswell port it for other chipsets (exynos).
Surprisingly this version also works on my Mate 10 Pro BLA-L29.
The HDR+ although has a blueish tint, maybe this will work in the future since the pictures (portraits i took) look a lot more detailed.
Its like Googles post-processing utilizes your sensor much better. Especially when zooming in I can see a lot more detail in my hair and texture on my jacket.
Go check it out, maybe he will release a fix for this blueish tint if we ask nicely.

PS: I like to take portraits with the rear cam since its much better quality on any phone... check it out even though the color arent right, the quality is much better imo.

Can you please specify the version you used and the settings please.

It also works on Mate 10 ALP-L29 except the blueish tint issue.

Settings are the standard ones, recommended by miniuser123.

Hi, how do you verify its taking pictures in hdr+?
On my previous phone where its fully working once I take a picture and switch to preview, there'll be a processing time of about 5 secs and it will say "processing" on top of the screen but I don't find all these in this version.

On regular Mate 10 is working, but really bad, flash is out of sync and pictures are awfull indors with low light.

+1 here. But I also noticed that its the case with any other app apart from the Huawei stock camera app.
If you try taking a pic with flash on WhatsApp or Viber you will notice the same issue.

Hey, just wanted to share some samples. since i do not want to show my face i simply zoomed in on the hair, you can see how much it differs.
Left gcam, right stock cam
also the lighting is much better and you can actually see the texture (pores etc) of my skin. The stock cam makes my skin washed out (beauty on 0)

Any update about this camera? I tried v4 but I really don't like the blue tint on portraits... Except that, it works fabulously!

As I said, in gallery I adjust settings, skin tone up, saturation up, color temp up
Seems a lot of work but I only use it sometimes for portraits so I can live with it.

I just tried it on my Mate 10 Pro BLA-L29 with stock EMUI 8.0.0 and sadly it just shows up a black screen ...

Change to Selfiecam and than back to the main camera.

Yeah, finally found a version that works partially on my Mate 10 Pro (Kirin 970).
GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V7beta-2.apk is amazingly fast.
So far the Portrait Mode is already working on front an back. But it lags a bit of saturation, i don't know, maybe because of the secondary monochrom camera.
The other problem is the pink tint in the highlights.
And i can't find a way to enable the hdr+ toggle in the interface.
@Arnova8G2 Do you think there a way to fix that? It would be so awesome, it works as fast as on Pixel2XL!

Did you disable the skin smoothing that's on by default? Also the update is supposed to improve selfie camera.

Disable smooth skin, did update
Sharpness so bad especially at indoor/low light
P3xl did great work, p4xl distorted it

Definitely something wrong, that info shows it's in the download folder and only 265kb. That's not straight from the camera. Like someone sent it as an MMS and it was downloaded.

Before you come to any conclusion, the point is the selfie camera didnt improved in px4xl it worse now.
I photo behind me not myself and this was the results just to show how is the quality!!!
You guy need to try more phones if you like this front camera...

I switched from oneplus that knowing Google is better, not this time...
Sorry but i needed to believe the reviews even the front facing camera didnt mention there...
The rear camera is the best out there for sure, but why Google went down in the specs of front camera?!
The battery also needed to improve better, we are in 2019 not 2016,Google needs to make 4000ma batteries and more, this is one of the most important things for users.
Everybody says front facing camera is not important as rear, but you can see people at the street, when traveling always makes selfie photos, so you need to improve it also or not make it less better than your previous phone

Got to say I'm pretty impressed by the sharpness regarding contours on my end. You're definitely using the cam the wrong way, or got a faulty sensor.

I checked in photos taken with my old px3xl details got 8M!!!another **** in px4xl?!

Im not rooted! Again, take a selfie photo look at the details of the photo, its i inside a circle and tell me please what is the size of photo you shooted 6M or 8M?

You're not rooted? Yet you're using three button navigation and your home button is missing the circle around the home button that has been present since the first Pixel xl. Pic is attached showing your navbar and what it looks like with three button navigation enabled on the pixel 4 xl. You're likely using a phone with a skimmed down version on Android on another phone. You're navigation bar looks similiar to the one on the Essential phone without the circle around the nav bar. I've attached a pic of that as well.
Also your clock is supposed to be on the left side. Signal and battery are supposed to be on the right. Pic is attached of how it's supposed to look.
Was going to say that your Google Lens icon is missing, but it's not available in Israel.
Anyhow, chances are is that you're using some random Gcam mod that you've posted about in the past.

What are you saying?! In Hebrew the buttons and the clock are opposite to English, im using pixel 4 xl 2 days brand new, attached my system details!

Lack of sharpness is probably more like lack of focus. The front facing camera is fixed focus. It's no different than my Pixel 2 XL and both do fine for me. You gotta hold it a little steadier. Something that helps is using the 3 second timer so tapping the on screen shutter or the volume button don't produce extra movement.

Did you used touch to focus - then shot? and is it exynos or snapdragon?

On DSLR, I must shoot with shutter speed no less than 1/100. Some photos were 5s explosure on telephoto lens, so expect some bluriness.

I'm sorry dude, i hope you don't get this wrong, i just want to make sure its the camera and not your hands, i just checked most of this photos, and most of them are blurry, so either this environment is much darker then it looks or maybe you didn't get the camera update that some units just now are receiving?

The environment is super dark, I would say photo look like 3-4 stop brighter than the actual place. Here is the setting I must use on DSLR to get the shot if you care about it. SS 1/100 f/1.8 ISO 6400. I already download and update 1 patch upon receiving the unit which has 1.0GB in size.

So if it so dark, how would you compare the photos with other phones? are they decent, good, great? next time just a suggestion, take few non night mode/regular shots if prompted for auto night mode turn it off if possible, that shot should be great for reference. Here is night shot vs pro mode pair.
Compared to S7, I would say it is much better, but S7 is 2017 era phone, so I don't think it's a good competitor.
Even pro mode looks 1 stop brighter than actual place.

The scene optimizer sends you to night mode upon turning on, so it's the same as using the night mode anyway.

Yes but i prefer to see medium to low light shot without night mode and no scene optimizer

Question Mi 11 ultra camera

Dear friends who have mi 11 ultra, please check!
1. At a zoom of 120 or even less, there is a lot of shaking in the image! This was not seen in mi 10 Ultra, is it normal? Does everyone feel that way?
2. When the camera is active, there is no movement of the lens (anti-shake) when you look at the lens and shake the phone! Do you understand what I mean?
3. After working on the camera for a while, the software slows down and I have to restart the phone to continue working with the camera.

Exactly the same for me. Only your lens shaker is visible? When the camera is active, do you look at the camera and notice the lens shake?

Shot with 40x and supermoon. This was the 2. Try and without tripod. The first attempt was useless.

Shooted tonight. 52x without tripod. Super moon.
Without super moon, and during the daytime, until x30 it's quite usable.

Specially when taking photo of close object, it blur out all the edge. Im really hate this camera because of that problem
