This is my first thread so apologies if it doesn't belong here. What I am wondering is if it would be possible to downgrade my P20 Pro to an older EMUI version and from there root my device? I refuse to pay for a bootloader code but am missing my ViperFX and Magisk from my previous phone. Any suggestions are appreciated!
You need unlocked bootloader. Period.

EMUI 10 will lock the bootloader and can't be unlocked unless you downgrade to 9.1.
So there's no root if you can't unlock the bootloader.
Can anyone explain how to unlock the bootloader and rooting works under Emotion UI 9.1.
Since the Huawei has blocked the bootloader codes and no longer releases them to users, the P10 plus has not been developed.
If I have a boot loader code, how do I go about unlocking the boot loader, how do I root my device and is there any way to downgrade?
Because there is the possibility for me to get a boot loader code for my P10 plus, so I would like to ask in advance how the procedure is.
It could be that I probably have to downgrade my device to the older e-motion Ui version so that I can even root and import custom ROMs. Is that right.

How i got the code
Test point - flash board firmware (IDT). Then via HCU got the code, direct sim unlock,repair imei/mac /s_n/vendor
Next flash Nocheck reovery
And via special script flash firmware
Hi all, i successfully unlocked my new mate 10 pro, used the DC-unlocker app buying 4 credits to get the bootloader code
and than following the guite on XDA to unlock.
All worked.
NOW i need to root.
I tried to root with the FHMate10Tool.exe and it worked but i forgot to disable the OTA update so i had to reset again.
I dont need the OTA updates or any system update to show up or to install, it will make me loose root.
So should i use the FHMate10Tool.exe and freeze the update service with titanium backup or root with twrp and magisc ?

I need to downgrade a note 9 from Android 10 to 8.1. When I was going to unlock bootloader, it gave me warning that some random things won't work if use custom os but I just want to downgrade. My question is that after I downgrade, can I lock the bootloader again.

Hello. I want to downgrade back to android 11 and I know unlocking the bootloader is needed in order to flash stock ROM. I read that oppo doesn't give the possibility to unlock the bootloader, is it correct or did anybody find a way? Thanks!!
