He has a s10 but didn't realize how to get to download mode because it different than from how it was on s9 etc.
When I got my s10e I had to read how to get it into download mode
When did the change in button routine to enter download mode change? I recently got my hands on an exynos s10+ and I found that the button routine change must have happened recently because all the guides on rooting still say to enter recovery/DL mode using [vol up - bixby - power].
How are you supposed to trigger recovery mode during root process now?
Any and all help is appreciated.

Turn off your phone. Press and hold the Bixby and Volume-down button, then connect with USB to your computer. (The cable shouldn't be connected until after you press the buttons).
Within seconds of USB connection the Download screen will appear.

After installing Maclaw CW11.0 i decided to install SlimROM.
Now, It seems I'm in a Bootloop.
I'm unable to go to download mode or Recovery by using the buttons.. Vol Up(or Down) + Home + Power Doesn't do anything
Vol Up + Vol Down and then plugging in the USB cable doesn't do anything either...
I just see the SlimROM logo blinking for a while... then it stops... and it reboots...
Anyone any ideas of what i can do?

i think you forgot to wipe before flashing the new rom.
So pull out the battery, wait few seconds, put it in and try to reboot into recovery or download-mode.
Good luck
I'd love to do that, but how do I go into those modes if 3 button combo doesn't work nor vol up + vol down + plug in usb?

try this one (but without guarranty:
1. power off phone
2. remove battery.
3. plug in USB cable to computer and phone (with battery out)
4. hold Vol Up and Vol Down
5. drop in the battery while still holding the vol buttons
6. in 2 secs you'll be in download mode
Good luck
Thnx for the good luck
However, I've tried that method and it didn't work. I've ordered a USB Jig, maybe that can help.

Download mode - use three way comnations only when ur phone is totally turned off and press and hold them don't leave them
I own multiple phones and tablets and I can get every single one into download mode. Just not this one. The three button combo does not work, not even when I remove my battery first. As soon as I'm home I'll make a small video of what happens.
Btw, the only mode I can actually get in to is: POWER RESET or UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE
I get there by holding Vol Up & Power On
Any thoughts?

U r pressing wrong combination for download mode you have to press
Vol down + "power" + home and have to hold it to enter no s3 mini logo appears before download mode
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tdznfLJsyY
see in this video he doesnt leave power button
and after that flash 3 way recovery from this thread by using odin - download mode
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066407
@S. Phrenic
press vol up + menu + power much longer. The s3 mini logo appears 2 times and then recovery mode comes up.
if this doesn´t help, try ADB method
1. Download and install Android SDK
2. Connect the phone to the PC via USB
3. Press Win key+ r and type cmd
4. Type adb reboot recovery
5. Done. Phone should reboot into recovery
Good luck
In the video I'm showing 3 different things:

2. Vol Down + Power + Home
3. Vol Up + Vol Down

Yes it needs to be turned on to system with adb debug, or to custom recovery.
For emergency mode in kies I think you need download mode as well.
You don't need adb debug enabled to use download mode, but for some reason you can't enter dl-mode

Do you have Motorola Device Manager on your PC? If not, install it.
With your phone plugged into the wall, press and hold the power button to see if you can get any response. If not, press and hold the volume down for about 3 seconds, then without releasing the volume down, press and hold the power button. Keep both buttons pressed together for about 3 seconds and release. If nothing happens, press volume up and see if you can get into bootloader mode.
Had you downgraded to 4.4.2 from 4.4.4?
If you can't get into bootloader mode, your only hope other than paying for a repair is this thread here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/orig-development/bootloader-tool-motoflasher-t2959081. do check any changes in the device manager when your phone gets connected. Any exclamation mark in the device manager while you connect it under usb ports? try changing usb cable and pc and ports.
If it "died" right after you hit install and still connects to PC I doubt it's dead. Try pressing Volume Down and then Power Key, hold both for more than 2 Minutes (yes, more than 120 seconds!) then release both and see if it reboots (which it should if your problem is what I suspect) or you can turn it on again or enter bootloader.

I haven’t used the volume up button but I’ve down the volume down button along with the other buttons. Also the Samsung smart switch app doesn’t recognize the device, it says it’s unsupprted
Push all 4 of the buttons, volume up, volume down, bixby and the power button... For 10 seconds.... Then it'll boot up... Into another screen... Wait until it says volume up/volume down,.... Etc... Then hold the volume down and power until it reboots

It has to work, maybe you have to vary the timing, also you can try with tap on restart phone and keep pressing only volume up button till recovery appears.
if you upgraded to android 11 you HAVE to plug in via USB....not sure why they changed so much on android 11
I'm on A11 and the button method works fine for me... on the three S10+ phones I have used recently.
I asked this question on the community section in the Samsung members app and someone told me I needed to plug in the device into my charger and then press volume up and bixby and after pressing them while keeping them pressed I need to press the power button.and Keep all the 3 buttons pressed till I am in recovery,This has worked for me

You have no idea how grateful I am for your explanation. Everyone always says a bunch of different key combinations and timing and I ALWAYS have to google it and try many times untill I am able to reboot. But it was THIS SIMPLE ALL ALONG. Wow. This worked perfectly and only on my first try! Since there is no timing to worry about. and only one key to remember. I do normally have to have my cable connected to my PC. But now it is so simple! THANK YOU

Why are you holding vol down? Holding vol down and power is the method used to boot to recovery. And once the bootloader is unlocked you will always get the nag screen saying it is unsafe. Ignore it. What happens if you just push the power button WITHOUT pushing vol down?

I don't know. The Odin screen remaining open is normal. But, unless you unchecked the auto-reboot in Odin options, the tablet should have rebooted when it finished flashing. If it doesn't, I guess the only thing you can do is manually reboot the tablet by holding vol down and power for about 7 seconds.

I did uncheck the auto-reboot which the directions I had said to do so. So I just let it sit there for about 6-7 hours plugged into PC. I figured then there was no way it wasn't done installing so i unplugged from PC. After like 5 minutes or so the tablet came on with the beginning screen for setting up tablet.
