Hi guys !
I need your opinions on a new phone, for a long time i've been waiting for a phone to come to satisfy most of my needs... I don't need much but one thing i always wanted was clean stock android, a decent camera and if possible sd reader because i like having music on my phone.
Most of the phones that came out have custom roms and even though that they were good i didnt get them. Until Nokia 8 was announced which i saw that has almost all the ticks for me (im still using a nexus 4 from 2012 lol)
The only thing that i wanted is if the camera is at least decent because for simiral money i can get a p10 but dont like the idea of EMUI and because of the software updates
I saw reviews about Nokia 8 and everyone was saying that as a device is ok, also i saw that using the Google Camera Apk gets better photos so that means there is potential for the camera
If someone has the phone already give some feedback in general because im still waiting for Nokia 8 to arrive in Cyprus
Thanks and sorry for the long post !
We tested with my friend p10 plus camera vs nokia 8.
P10 plus have better photo options so it can make better image, but the difference was so small that can only be noticeable when zooming the image to max in screen.
Test was made dark and both phones was set to iso 400 and 300 etc...
When settings where full auto..thep10 plus makes very much noise compared to nokia, so the cropped image was not so clear as nokia.
Nokia max iso speed is 1600.
P10 plus is 3200.
So if take fast pic in low light without limiting iso speed nokia wins in camera.
Im waiting for update if the camera is going to have full manual so i can take shots with long exposure, now its limited to about 1s.
But overall im very happy with this...i can even watch vr xxx.

Hi everyone
Since android's version of Android PIE, is slowling rolling out to Mate 10 Pro's, has anyone yet made or found, a review of the changes, specifically for the Mate 10 Pro?
Sure, there's a couple of reviews & Youtube videos of the Beta version and of EMUI 9, but I'm looking specifically for the official PIE update on the Mate 10 Pro.
Anyone found a review yet?
Not really
I'm using it for a week now. It looks better. Battery life was bad over the first 2 days after the update but it's better now ( slightly better than Oreo). Some stutter is happening here and there but not too much. Free ram seems to get lower ,so apparently using more ram. Camera is much better.
Can you specify in what way the camera got better ? picture quality ? video quality ? night mode ? exposure ?
I haven't gotten an update since April last year, so I got EMUI 9 and all the intermediate changes all at once. Camera is insanely better, it doesn't overexpose at all like it used to, back in EMUI 8 the camera overexposed everything all the time. I got 960fps slowmo from only having 240fps one. I got hand-held night shot that works exactly like the P20 Pro, works wonders. The interface is changed I have to get used to that, it's not bad. I can also turn off Master AI now, couldn't do that before...
I've just upgraded my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to android 9.0 pie 1 UI on Exynose variant. but didn't see any 4k 60fps shooting option in my note 9 camera settings.
where can i find them?
If you touch quality section in the camera settings, you can change quality and fps settings

Please, use search next time. There's literally at least three other threads about this.
Hello everyone, I´m posting this thread because I´ve seen some videos on youtube talking about the pixel 6/6 pro having an optimized camera API, which means that instagram and snapchat are fully optimized for the camera sensor, making even possible to switch between lens in the same app and not losing quality due to image compressing (something that is fully optimized in ios). So I´m wondering if this happens too in samsung phones updated to android 12? Is the quality improved on par with ios or pixel 6/6pro?
Hey Guys, i have a question.
Am i the only one who think that the camera quality gone really bad since the EMUI 12 Update?
Every Photo seems very unsharp and the AI is being more an issue instead of a help
