The Housing on the USB Cable is nice Metal (seems like Aluminum) and the Cable is thick and really hard to tangle, but the USB C connector is kind of a pile of junk.
Also it only seems to be able to charge the phone and doesn't work for data transfers!!!
It says it can handle 20V 3A = 60W (which I highly doubt)
The USB C Cable that came with the phone seems alot better in regards to the USB C Connector!
Nether one is USB 3.0+. Only USB 2.0
The Headphones seem pretty good. Metal and plastic housing.
The sound is pretty good. im sure they could be better but for free there awesome.
Treble = Good (Clear)
Mid = Good
Bass = Good (some bass but not alot and not over powering)
Use poweramp music player to best sound and bass

Anyone know if there is any sort of splitter device, that will allow me to use one charger to charge two phones with miniUSB sockets?
Need to charge a Magic and Touch Dual but have limited plug sockets.
Thanks
Not exactly what I was looking for but these seem to do the job.

A couple of similar products can be found on ebay.
I'm a bit wary of USB plugs, as I have had a cheap one explode next to me. No injury sustained but I was lucky, any closer and I would be pulling plastic pieces out of the side of my head.
The search continues ...
Yea iGo. They sell universal chargers and a dual splitter. Its very cheap.
motorola had a dual mini usb splitter sold as an accessory. its designed to let you charge a phone and one of their bt headsets that also used mini usb.
However, i think its a switching unit, it supplies power to the phone side (they're labeled) first until its full, then switches to the other side.

So my headphones are broken (again ), but I still have some headphones lying around from my old Sony W800i(or K750) phone so I thought about hacking them to be able to use them on my defy.
The headset:

I found the pinout of the plug here:
http://pinouts.ru/CellularPhones-P-W/se_k750i_pinout.shtml
Every function has it's own pin so we can solder them in the right place.
The button on this headphone shorts the mic+ and mic-. The mic is a 1k mic (also the same as my old headset so hopes of this working are high.
I'm going to solder them on a TRRS 3.5 jack I got from eBay. I just have to figure out where to put the mic's.
It'll probably be mic- to ground an mic+ to the second ring.
Mic+ should be on the outer sleeve and Mic- and ground have to be on the second ring from the tip.
Colors of the wires for the sony heatset are:
Green: Right
Blue: Left
Black: Mic-
White: Mic+
Outer wires: Ground
It's hard to solder on a TRRS 3.5 jack. Best to have a small tip.
Result:
yes u are doing it right. btw sound of these headsets is really nice
I love my Nexus but I do have one compliant or wish.....When I am using my Nexus while charging it, the charging port could not be located in a worse place as far as holding it (portrait) and charging. I am really worried about damaging the port.
My thought is, if the was an adapter that had an L-shaped male to plug into the Nexus and run along the bottom to make it less of an issue to putting stress on the port.
Has anyone seen one of these?
Like one of these?

Personally if you're worried about stress try looking for a 6" extension cable with a right angle connector instead. IMHO of course.

Only issue is that the N7 is very selective about cables.
A generic Micro USB cable will not charge at full rate.
I use a couple of generic usb cables (eBay), 2mtrs long with a right angled plug. They both seem to work fine for me, I tend to leave the N7 on charge overnight but it charges up pretty quickly anyway.
I bought Apple's adapter yesterday and connected it with my earphone while my p30pro is at 50% battery. It worked just fine. However, when I tried to use it while my phone's battery was at 100%, my phone started reserve charging. I tried to change the option to use USB to transfer files and it jumped right back to the Reverse Charging option. Has anyone encountered similar problem before?
I have both the HTC and Hidisz adapters with built in DAC which are far better than the Apple one. The phone does recognize it that way but actually treats it like an external DAC. Its annoying but the dongle does work the way it should.
Sorry to bump this from ages ago but, my problem is with connecting aux in my car with the p30 pro, I've got a belkin 3.5mm-3.5mm with a USB c adapter off amazon and it refuses to play music through the car.
I buy an adapter on aliexpress and its work perfect in my car and sound quality is good

Can someone verify if a Type C headphone jack can be used at the side (the orange port)?

The orange port is NOT to be used with a type c cable of any kind. The phone specific warns you during setup to never plug a USB type c anything into the orange port. Your suppose to use the port next to the orange one, but NOT the orange one. I think it's actually slightly smaller anyway, as I accidentally started to plug a cable into the orange port and it didn't want to go in.
But as to the USB C headphone jack, I believe it will work just fine in either of the actual USB C ports (bottom or side).
Yes during setup, they specifically said "do not connect anything" to the orange port.
The lighting case even has a protection notch over it.
