Hey everyone,
seems like LG also updated the Korean V40 (V409N) to Pie (Source: https://www.lge.co.kr/lgekor/contents/mobile/swUpgradeDetail.do?swSeq=881 )
Would be nice if we had some Korean users here too, who would be nice enough to pull/upload a kdz (or atleast grab a link to it)
Should be able to get it to work on the V405EBW (european open market), by twrp flashable zip (will publish all that as soon as its stable and i have a bit more time)
Best regards
Markus
Edit: its public now

Well, OTA for the models which its already released for.
Verizon/Sprint already seem to have it. Korean models now too (even though no kdz available there yet it seems... or LG just put the SW update notice there and forgot to push the actual update....)

Different, updated, versions of the same thing released at slightly later dates. If you manage to find a website with the differences then let us know mate.
Otherwise, either flash the correct 'Official' version for your area, or the latest Euro Open, or give up them all and play around with Cyanogenmod to set your phone free

diiferences are very minor, such as no tone for camera button on 20b hk, or some region specific apps. nothing major. well, 20A has homescreen rotation that 20B doesn't. anyway, very very minor differences.
How about flashing another update (20c for example), is the custom recovery going to be ersed?
Yep, you're gonna have to reroot and reinstall recovery
And what happens with the bootloader ?? is it going to be unlocked I flash 20c for example, and how about v10 firmwares too?

bootloader will stay unlocked between 20x versions. you can flash 10x firmware with lgflashtool, bootloader will show as locked, but when/if you show 20x again, you'll be unlocked again.
my phone says: software version p88020b-446-92
Is that the open Euro version?
I bought it in Europe from LG distributor, but still i want to make sure.
Thinking of using the official LG bootloader unlock procedure.
As you know, korean versions of urbane 2 (w200s/k/l) have been updated to aw 2.0 by OTA since the middle of june.
I'm happy owner of Korean w200s, using it in Russia. I've managed to get update, using vpn.
Me and comrade Ken Yap from Malaysia found the way to get OTA link for aw 2.0:
https://android.googleapis.com/packa...c6fb0e08e8.zip
Please keep in mind that below OTA update file is originally for korean versions of urbane 2 (w200s/w200k/w200l) and may not work with other versions of urbane 2 (w200a/w200e, etc.).
We (me and mr. Ken Yap) are not responsible for any damage that may happen to your device, it's your risk.
Upd.: tested and confirmed as functional at US w200a.
Flash it via adb.
Hmm. Very interesting. I'll look into the model variants and see if anyone else is feeling lucky. I've done the preview swaps but wouldn't know how to get back if problem came up. Good to see though , where you on 1.5 or the preview before and what do you think ? And just to confirm we are talking the 3 button model 2.0 cellular equipped Urbane ?

If you're referring to the device name, that's normal. It won't change with firmware updates. The 5098 is the last four numbers of the watch's serial number. Mine has always said 'LG Urbane ####'. What should have changed is the build number and the versions listed in the watch. My build number is now NXH20E. AW is 2.0.0.159006699. Android OS 7.1.1.

i really haven't gotten a straight answer to this question either. I'm assuming that it's not possible yet because I have searched long and far and haven't seen a video of this being done or a tutorial.

All signs point to BS as far as I can tell but the op title had my hopes up lol. I think LG is under a contract agreement not to release such firmware, it'll only happen if it's an internal leak.

1. I didn't check to see if everything else worked. 2. If you want to stay on Pie, and everything else won't work you will have to find someone like VLAD to install Pie back on your phone.
Pie isn't installed on Sprint yet.

Hi,
Have heard of reports of people getting Android 10 via crossflashing to the Korean unlocked rom, but heard of possible caveats. Are there special steps to take? Besides loss of possible LTE USA bands in the firmware, anything dangerous about crossflashing to this
V409NO30b_00_OPEN_KR_OP_0515
firmware?
Thanks so much
Hello,
I have the same question. I'm tired of waiting Sprint for Android 10. Does it work with this Korean rom ? There is any step to be careful ? Thank you !
EDIT : if there is a Verizon Rom that work with Android 10, please let me know were to download it, i don't find it on lg-firmwares.com
Hello Phantafun/fireblade20, i have the sprint model. And i download the V405UA20A Verizon firmware from lg fan club and as soon as i booted the phone it requested me to update to Android 10, note i do not have a Verizon sim. I did not like the bloatware so i went for the Korean version V409NUA30d BEST DECISION EVER, nothing wrong, did not loose the network bands, plus the Korean version gets monthly updates.
Thanks a lot for the feedback ! I try it if as soon as I can get rid of the error 0x6004 CrossDl :/

sure ... because the korean version is 128 gb, memory, rom?
So, can anyone confirm that v405ua can be crossflashed with korean firmware?
I cannot flash the Korean rom (a new error code), but I finally get rid of the error code 0x6004 : i change the LGUP_Common.dll for another one found on another topic.
I'm on Verizon rom, it's really great : I can now desactivate the bloatware unlike the sprint Roms that lock this option.
I'm not clear on this. Is there a an android 10 ROM I can safely flash on a Sprint version?

If you have an error code, you should try with other LG V40 DDL that you can find on Google or other topic on XDA.
