[Q] HELP!!!

So, i rooted my original galaxy tab p1000 with odin3-v1.8, but when im in clockwork mod, and i want to install roms or WHATEVER thing i choose, i get an error similar to E: can't mount. Whether i try to clear cache or reset, it says this and i have no choice. It seems like a brick....ANYONE Help me, Much will be appreciated.
It seems like it was not rooted correctly. Did you run titanium backup after rooted?
Can u tell us what was the latest working firmware u had? FROYO,,GB? 2.2, 2.3.3, 2.3.6?
Anyways, Follow these steps carefully to fix almost all kind of softbrick:
1a. Download Fus Check Downloader 2.1 on your computer from url]http://fus.nanzen.se/[/url] , start it up and and downloaded a Firmware for your region. It will automatically decode the .enc2 file to.zip file
1b. Download this pitfile from following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=631856&d=1308653969
1c. Download this dbdata from the following link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=631856&d=1308653969
2. Extract the .zip file generated from decoding file to a folder and I got tar.md 5 file.
3. Start Odin - put the .md5 to PDA
Put the pitfile from step 1b to the PIT
Check repartition. Leave everything else as is.
4. Go to download mode on the G-tab, connect to ur computer
and click start on Odin. It takes about 6 to 7 minutes to do the flashing.Once done flashing it will reboot but mostlikely you still have problems with your tab.
5. on your Odin, put the dbdata file from step 1c to PDA, leave everything else as is.
Reboot your tab to download mode, connect to computer, and click start on Odin.
6. Once done, reboot to recovery mode, do a factory reset wipe, and data cache wipe.
Reboot again, wait for about 5 minutes for the tab to boot, you should be all set.
Thx

[tutorial] root samsung galaxy a6 plus a605g

DISCLAIMER This is the method which worked personally for me after trying out a number of attempts. Try at your own risk. I am not responsible for any bricked devices.
First of all I would like to appreciate @topjohnwu for his amazing Magisk Project and being wonderful people around in XDA. It is because of the Magisk project that the A6 plus got root although having no stable twrp.
Directions
First of all you need to download the following files :
Latest version of ODIN
7Z Zstandard
Samsung USB Drivers
Stock Firmware of your model ( Use Sammobile or Updato)
Magisk Manager v6.0.0 apk ( https://******************/ or xda thread )
After downloading all of these tools, install 7zip Zstandard , Odin and Samsung USB driver in your Pc or Laptop. After that you need to extract your stock firmware if it's in compressed zip with 7zip. Now , there will be 5 files AP, BL, CSC, HOME CSC and CP. You need to extract AP file to get boot.img of your device . Select the AP file , right click > 7zip Zstandard > Extract Here.
Once decompressed you will find your boot.img.lz4 in there. again extract it using 7zip Zstandard and you will get your boot.img .Now transfer this boot.img to your android device.
Install Magisk Manager latest version (v6.0.0 as of now) in your phone and got to settinngs and select patched boot output format to img.tat . Return to the homepage of app and tap on install now. From the two options, select Patch boot image and browse to your boot.img. From here, a black terminal will appear and Magisk will download the root zip and patch your boot image to be ready for Magisk su. Once it is done with the process, it will show you the location if the patched image file. Now, Copy this patched image to your desktop and make sure you have both, the stock boot.img and the patched boot.img in case something goes wrong. In your device go to Settings > About Phone > Software Information and tap on the Build number for around 7 times until it shows “Developer settings has been turned on” . Now come again to the settings of your device and move to bottom. Below About Phone you will find Developer Settings. Go and tick on OEM Unlock there . It will ask for a reboot , allow it to perform that. Now follow the final steps given below:
1) Download Odin to your laptop/PC.
2) Turn off your phone.
3) Go to download mode (by pressing Volume down+Volume up buttons together and then connect the USB cable)
4)Press the Volume up button to continue.
5)Open Odin on your laptop/pc.
6) Connect your phone to your laptop/PC through USB cable.
7) When ODIN detects your phone, It will show added in the Log.
8) In ODIN click on AP and then select the patched boot.img file you created.
9) Click on start. The flashing process will start.
10) If the flashing succeeds, ODIN will show 'PASS'. That means the boot image flashed successfully.
11) After it finishes, go back and reboot your phone.
Enjoy your rooted Samsung Galaxy A6 PLUS !!!

Hi sir..
i want to try this method but the problem is when i try to unlock OEM...
its says that it will reset my phone to its factory settings
did this method still works if i do that?
before, unlocking oem will just restart your device but now it will reset to factory defaults..
Im using android security patch level (July 1,2018)
Not sure it worked
Hello,
Thank you for the tutorial.
I tried this method, and seems like it didn't work. I'm not really sure, beause I used one root checker app, and it says it's not rooted, and used another one that said it is :silly:
Anyway I installed titanium backup that said root is not granted, although on the bootup image of the phone the're's something written in yellow.
And more, I cannot log in to my samsung account anymore, seems I'm in to flash again.
Edit : My phone is an a605F, but I think it doesn't matter.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Android Pie update on manually (One UI)

How to install Android 9 Pie update on Galaxy S9 [One UI update]
Compatibility: This section is compatible only with model SM-G960F of the Galaxy S9,
Step by step guide:
Step 1. Download the Android Pie firmware from the downloads section above – software version CRLI/CSAB. Make sure you have downloaded the correct firmware file on your PC. Remember, this is only for the Galaxy S9 model no. SM-G960F and Galaxy S9 model no. SM-G965F.
Step 2. Install Samsung USB driver (method 1 on the linked page) first of all. Double-click the .exe file of drivers to begin the installation. (Not required if you have already done this.)
Step 3. Also, download Odin PC software (latest version).
Step 4. Extract the firmware file now. You can use free software like 7-zip for this. Install 7-zip, then right click on firmware file and under 7-zip, select ‘Extract here’. You should get files in .tar.md5 format now. (You may a bunch of files, and you will find text like AP, BL, CP or CSC etc. written at the beginning of those files.) We will be loading this file into Odin, to be installed on the device.
Step 5. Extract the Odin file. You should get the Odin exe file (other files could be hidden, hence not visible).
Step 6. Disconnect your Galaxy S9 from PC if it is connected.
Step 7. Boot your Galaxy S9 into download mode:
Power off your device. Wait for 6-7 seconds after screen goes off.
Press and hold the three buttons Volume down + Bixby + Power together until you see the Warning screen.
Press Volume Up to continue to download mode.
Step 8. Double click on Odin .exe file (from step 5) to open the Odin window as shown below. Be careful with Odin, and do just as said to prevent problems.
Step 9. Connect your device now using the USB cable. Odin should recognize your device. It’s a must. When it recognizes, you will see Added!! message appearing in the Log box in the bottom left, and the first box under ID:COM will also show a no. and turn its background blue.
You cannot proceed until you get the Added!! message, which confirms that Odin has recognized your device.
If you don’t get Added!! message, you need to install/re-install drivers again, and use the original cable that came with the device. Mostly, drivers are the problem (look at step 2 above).
You can try different USB ports on your PC too.
Step 10. Load the firmware files into Odin. Click the AP button on Odin and the select the .tar.md5 file from above. See the screenshot below to find how the Odin window will look like after you have loaded the files.
Click on BL tab, and select the file beginning with BL text.
Click on AP tab, and select the file beginning with AP text.
Click on CP tab, and select the file beginning with CP text.
[Different!] Click on CSC tab, and select the file beginning with HOME_CSC text. If HOME_CSC file isn’t available, then select the file beginning with CSC text.
About CSC file: Using the HOME_CSC file won’t reset your device, and data on the phone shouldn’t be deleted. However, when we select regular CSC file, and it results in CSC on the device being different than that in CSC file, your phone will be formatted automatically. You can even choose to ignore loading the CSC file, that may do alright too. But if it doesn’t work out, repeat the whole process and select CSC file this time around.
Info: When you load files, Odin checks the md5 sum of firmware file, which takes time. So, simply wait until that’s done and the firmware file is loaded. Don’t worry if Odin gets unresponsive for a while, it’s normal. Binary size will also show up in Odin.
Step 11. Click on Options tab, and make sure Re-partition checkbox is NOT selected. Don’t use PIT tab, ever.
Go back to the Log tab now, as it will show the progress of the firmware installation when you hit the start button in the next step.
Step 12. Verify that everything is okay as mentioned above. When satisfied, click the Start button on Odin now to start flashing the firmware on your device.
Wait till installation is finished, after which your device will reboot automatically. You’ll get PASS message as shown below upon successful installation from Odin.
Some errors you may run into, and with respective solution.
If Odin gets stuck at setup connection, then you need to do this all again. Disconnect your device, close Odin, boot device into download mode again, open Odin, and then select the file and flash it again as said above.
If you get FAIL in the top left box, then also you need to flash the file again as stated just above.
Done!

s10 galaxy g973f no boot after flash magisk patched firmware

Ieudhd
i donloaded diud
Hello Sams10, did you make the bootloader before or not as explained in the tutorial.
You said your flasher with odin more detail would be welcome, how did you do there according to your comment your flashed directly in download mode without having done the manipulation for the bootloader and then did what.
bootloader unlocked and kg checking
every instructions for s10 is outdated including the lineage os website and youtube i have checked all
heimdalll latest 1.4.2 doesnt work with samsung s10.
19.9.2022 on latest android firmware new zealand firmware custom rom doesnt work , only europe and americas will work
Hello Sams10, already a little politeness because I said hello to you, you post 4 times without saying hello.
I don't understand the unlock bootloader ok then S10 is good s10 exynos or 5 G, I followed John Wu's tutorial as explained in the magisk thread on this forum no problem.
You have well modified in magisk AP of the official rom then trafer on your pc with adb pull then odin 3.14.4 flash the 4 files BL-AP patched-CP Home CSC.
g973F exynos, not 5g, u must be americas europe firmware , vodafone nz firmware probably doesnt work
this is my current download mode
my screen is cracked thats the purple lines and dead pixel on top left
Not work
Hello Sams10, you start in dowload mode you flash with odin 3.14.4 the official firmware the one mark in my signature me AUT or XEF lash the 4 BL-AP-CP-CSC files it will restart as on the first day. Then install magisk 25.2 you transfer AP on your S10, you modify with magisk you will have a file in internal memory in dowload magisk_patchedxxxx.tar you transfer it with ADB on the pc which in adb must give this adb pull /sdcard/Download/magisk_patched-25200_G3e9K.tar
once transferred ok you put yourself in dowload mode and you put the file BL -AP patched -CP -home CSC you start you let it restart and you open magisk to activate zygisk then you install the modules you will find here https://forum .xda-developers.com/t/discussion-magisk-the-age-of-zygisk.4393877/
instalation look here from john Wu https://topjohnwu.github.io/Magisk/install.html
read the instruction part, then when you have finished and root I will send you the file to remove the warning message at start-up ok
I use ap magisk patched and CSC , not home CSC when I flashed and had boot loop
Does it have to be an adb pull for the patched firmware from Android , I just use file transfer on windows to transfer the magisk patched ap file from the s10 to the windows
Try with home CSC as john wu says you have to do adb from s10 to pc with adb windows not send all.
Start the installation, and copy the patched tar file to your PC using ADB:
adb pull /sdcard/Download/magisk_patched_[random_strings].tar
DO NOT USE MTP as it is known to corrupt large files.
John Wu says CSC not home csc because he want to erase firmware data
Hello Sams10, yes you made a backup of your data before with smart switch or others. For me it worked if you follow the present tutorial look on my tutorial
1- The bootloader follow explanation Use vol down + vol up + USB cable plugged into a PC to boot the phone into download mode;
Long press vol up then confirm that you want to unlock the bootloader (this is only needed once);
* Please note that all your data will be erased, including internal memory, and the phone will restart!!
5- Let the phone start normally, go through the configuration and connect to the Internet (wireless or mobile data) in order to unlock
6- Make sure OEM Unlock is enabled in Developer Settings.
2- Once reboot install magisk 25.2 APK.
3- Download the official firmware on Samobile.com or frija you will find this on the forum.
4- Transfer the official firmware AP to the smartphone.
5- Open magisk recovery mode choose corrective mode choose the AP download press "let's go."
6- Once the modification is finished in the root directory, download a patched_magiskxxxx.img.tar file if found.
7- Transfer it with adb pull like this adb pull /sdcard/Download/patched_patched.magiskxxxx.img[.tar] you can rename it "patched_magisk.img.tar"
8- Put your smartphone in download mode Use vol down + vol up + usb cable connected to a PC to start the phone in download mode, briefly press vol up to
confirm that you want to enter download mode;
9- Open Odin latest version placed 4 files following BL-AP magisk patched.img.tar-CP-home CSC leaves auto start checked in odin option.
10- It will restart open magisk activated Zygisk restart install safetynet modules - shamiko-hidemagisk prop config-busybox nk-lposed see on this page https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/discussion-magisk-the-age -of-zygisk.4393877/
message #3-#6 to #9.
11- Install foxmagiskmodulemanager the catalog of modules for magisk here https://github.com/Fox2Code/FoxMagiskModuleManager/releases
12- Once rooted the security message for the removed open Odin place UP-param.tar in AP and flashed. See attached file
Up_param.tar download link on my mega here to know for S10 exynos for S10e- S10+ versions see 5G I don't know if it works.
Is this normal I have to wait about 30 minutes after power off to try get into download mode??
Maybe something is broken the phone like doesn't turn off properly or something, have to wait sometimes one hour
