If this happened after a system update go ahead with a backup then reset the phone and restore everything. It's happening to me on every system update.
Good luck

3G confusingly goes on/off

Hi all, in the beginning I thought it's a problem with my network/SIM card. For that reason I tried a SIM card from another carrier, but problem persists..
So, suddenly my phone would only lock on GPRS/EDGE and denied to go on HSDPA/3G/4G. Completely out of context at that time I thought to dirty flash a new nightly of the Carbon ROM that I had already downloaded, and the problem was solved!!! Booted in android, and boom connected to 4G..
It happened again during the following days, and every time a dirty flash of the next nightly would fix the issue. Without a logical explanation for my understandings, but it just fixed the problem.
Now, since yesterday, it is not recovering with the above technique so it's time to seek further into the issue! With your help of course

Just in case, did you checked your ''preferred network type'' by dialing *#*#4636#*#* ? It should be set to ''GSM/WCDMA/LTE AUTO''

Actually no, I was not aware of this setting.. WCDMA preferred is selected, and the option you suggested does not exist. You can see the screenshots for the options..

[Q] Xperia Z c6603 Sim card not detecting problem

Hello Friends,
I am sorry to create this thread if already a discussion going on under the same topic( I am that much frustrated as well as desperate). I updated my set to 10.5.1.A.0.292 few weeks back & when it reboot I get a popup window saying nfc firmware update error 000004 which is present till the date. Then it starts a new issue like loosing the signal and reinserting the sim card rectifies the issues at first. Few days back it completely lost the signal & a sign appeared on top right corner like a red "X' mark with sim card.I tried to reinsert the sim and when I does the set shows 'sim card inserted , restarting' but after reboot again no signal, when i removes the sim again it popup as 'sim card removed, restarting'.
I tried many other sim cards. Result is same though all are working in other phone. I tried every thing starting from factory reset to flashing using PCC as well as Flash tool but still the problem persist. When I flashed CM 11 and searched the set shows all the available networks ( Though no signal was showing in status bar) but fails to register in any of them. Any idea what happened to my set and is it curable. Please help it doesn't have warranty.

does it work for CM11? maybe there is something wrong with your hardware, check what does it display on baseband, maybe try a reflash once again.

Hello Zennis thanks for the reply. I tinstalled cm 11 on it and then also there is no signal bar in the status bar but under mobile operator option i was able to check the network and all the available network were showing there but when i tried to connect my service provider it failed. I dont think there is a hardware problem coz i use it that much careful and hardly 5 minutes before this issue i attended a call.
Looking forward for your valuable reply.
I think its a baseband problem.... I previously faced problem like no signal,no imei,no wifi, etc...then i flashed different version of stock .ftf
And my problem was solved.

At last i was able to solve the problem. How? I will explain..
1, Read this thread'www DOT mashinie DOT com/trick-to-create-sony-stock-ftf-rom.html '. Thanks a lot to this person to create it.
2, mind, to see the folder "Program Data" you should enable the view hidden folder option in window
3, I made a ftf bundle as per his guide and flashed it. Wola it succeeded:good:.. Now I am using my set without a hitch for last 48 hrs.
4, MY NFC firmware update failure is not cured although but i am not bothered about it..
Thanks for all for the support

Hi puneet its sad to know that you too are in same situation. As I said in my post the unit was functioning for about several weeks and suddenly it fell into no network state again and this time all my trials went vain. I just sold that unit at a cheaper price to a mobile repairing shop. i dont know what they have done with it. In my opinion dont waste your energy for xperia crap.
Thank you & sorry that i cant help you.

Cant able to make or recieve calls

Hello,Vasanth from india. I have a nexus 6 updated to marshmallow 6.0 OTA. i was going through this hidden menu *#*#4636#*#* and might have changed some settings accidentally. I think i changed to USA bandwidth. After that i cant able to make or receive calls. I could get a network signal. but cant able to make calls. I have tries a factory reset and even tried flashing by a moto service center, But nothing helps. Please guide me what could be done.
thanks in advance.
Perhaps you fried your SIM? A factory reset would clean up those settings and put them back to default.
Problem solved
Sim was working fine, in another mobile.. Anyway I did a factory image flash and restore. Now it's working fine thanks

Data not working after Marshmallow update

XT1063 Mobile data stopped working after the Marshmallow update. Phone is stock and not rooted. The APN's were changed after the update so I entered the correct APN's but mobile data still doesn't work. I am able to make and receive calls and send and receive texts but that's about it. I can also connect to WiFi and everything works but I just can't get mobile to work. Anyone know how to fix this?

I was trying to avoid a factory reset but I think I found the problem. I think the update somehow fried the SIM card. I tried the SIM in my son's Moto G and also my rooted and unlocked Note 3 and it wouldn't work but I tried my son's SIM in my Moto G and it did work so I'm going to try and get a new SIM today.

[HELP] Wi-Fi problem after mm update- SM_9208

My note 5 is the duos version, imported in Romania from Taiwan (SM_9208) After updating to Marshmallow yesterday, everything worked fine except for on thing: it doesn't find my Wi-Fi network from home anymore and the only way I can connect to it is by going to,, add network " and manually inserting the ssid and PASSWORD because it doesn't appear on the available networks list. Thst means that every time I turn my wireless off and then on, I have to repeat that process.
I haven't had the chance to try any other WiFi network, but I tried with other phones to connect to the network and they found it and connected to it without any problem. Furthermore, any third party app like WiFi analyser is able to see the network.
Do you guys have any idea how I could possibly solve this?
Thank you and have a wonderful day!
Try to backup your phone and then do a factory reset.
I factory reset after update OTA and everything work perfect.
uhm... does n9208 has update for MM already? if you have links kindly share tnx in advance
I tried doing the factory reset and it still has that problem.
And I did receive the update yesterday through OTA.
Other suggestions? Thank you, guys!

First, try clearing the cache again. If it still does not work, the update may have downloaded improperly so some file are corrupted. It will continue to use the same corrupted files even if you reset. Have your tried flashing the stock Taiwan Rom using Odin?
//LATER EDIT: I finally made it work by simply changing the wireless network's name. For some reason, my phone wouldn't find the network with its default name.
