trade OnePlus 7 pro for a P30 Pro - Huawei P30 Pro Questions & Answers

Hi, I looking to find someone I can trade my OnePlus 7 pro for a P30 Pro , where is the best place to post ? I know I will have to add some money on too because with all the drama about software upgrades on the P30 it's still a great phone to own and has been holding it's value against all odds

I honestly think it's the worst camera in the last 10 years. Complete bait and switch tactic from Oneplus with that fake Dxomark review.

Funny to read that, i will travel to USA and i was thinking about sell my p30 pro and get 2 OP 7 Pro, 1 for me and 1 for my wife, she complains about iPhone 7 photos all the time! All the famous you tube channels Said good things about the OP 7 Pro , but is good to read about a real user ! I really like the p30 pro ... The problem, despite the USA thing , is the messy Huawei update policy, is a disaster!

You can trade the OP7 PRO with my P30 Pro black. Now 2 weeks old

I will never trade my p30 pro for op 7 pro, but I m sure there are some guys over here which willing to pay you extra for this trade because of the US economic scare tactics.

I can change my p30 oro for op 7 pro, my phone is from Spanish, may 26 factura

Is you had both pixel 2 xl and the p20 pro, which works you take on vacation?

I have both phones and deciding which one would be the best for photography. I haven't had much the with the p20 pro.
P20 Pro. Photos are good on both phones but I know I wouldn't have to worry as much about keeping the Huawei charged up.

The Huawei P20 pro is hands down the best for any amateur photography. That being said the pixel 2 xl is better for just about everything else.

If it's photography, P20 by far. I love the nighttime photos! It's insane!
For battery life while taking photographs, the P20 Pro
I have left and right pocket. So, one in my left, another one in my right. Lol
I had both but I sold the 128gb pixel 2 xl because I got more money for it. My intention was to sell the p20 pro.

Oh, you didnt read news ? Its all politics, lol
Short story, US government got paranoid over chinese product & companies,
accusing huawei for supporting china government spy and intelligence activities, banning them from selling their products in US.
Carrier is not allowed to make any new deal with huawei, both products and infrastructure,
And previous deal was terminated.
This is also the reason why older huawei phone that sold in US wont get any new update/ota.

Don't really watch the news. Only what's relevant to me, huaweis deal with a different country wouldn't normally affect my life, in this case it's affecting development of a phone I've got lol but that's it.
So it's money really, makes sense being the US.
I'd have took the deal unless they were trying to undercut them.
Cheers btw

My budget is $550, Huawei mate 10 pro or OnePlus 6/6T?

I can't find any convincing videos on these 2 phones. Someone please sell me on either. I just want a phone to last me for the next 3-4 years.

I'd go with the mate 10 pro. Better camera, build quality, battery, stereo speaker. I already had oneplus devices in the past and I didn't like it as much as I did with Huawei devices.
6T has stockish Android if you're into that and better support past two years. There's also a working gcam mod.
However, the Mate 10 Pro should be cheaper than the 6T barring carrier promotions. I got mine (USA version) for $430, which is over $100 cheaper than the 6T. That alone made it worth it to me to get the Mate 10 Pro.

Is the passage from OnePlus 6T to this phone worth?

Hello everyone. I have the possibility to pass from an OnePlus 6T to Xiaomi Mi9T Pro without giving additional money (I bought it on Amazon, but I'm still in 30 days of refund period). According to your opinion, is this passage worth?
Only things I regret of my OP6T are the lack of the wide angle camera and the presence of the notch. Thanks for your advices

If you you know how to get rid of all the spyware (by flashing EU ROM or AOSP ) then yes. absolutely.
I sold my OnePlus 7plus for this and haven't looked back.

True, but software is compatible since hardware is exactly the same. Chinese phone has less LTE bands, thats all.
ROMs for K20 pro can be installed on mi 9t pro and vice versa. thats why it says k20 pro / mi 9t pro in forum thread name
I Wouldn't recommend. OnePlus 6t is a pretty good phone on its own right.

Wow, that's surprising. I have K20 pro, and a OnePlus 7 for my wife. As far as I see the Dual speakers alone are worth the higher price.. The OnePlus 7 speakers absolutely cream my K20PRO speaker in all sense.. Not that I don't love my K20pro. But hearing the YouTube or Netflix on 7 is really awesome...
But screen is about even.

I have both the k20 pro an the OP7 Pro. If you are willing to compromise and want to cut cost the k20 pro is a good choice. The OP 7 pro did cost me about £150-200 more and the difference is visible. The 90hz screen for me takes everything. I even used a 75hz mod for the k20 pro which made a gap slimmer but I still wouldn't sell my OP over the k20 pro. Not sure about the 6T sorry, I didn't have that, but for me the SDG855 performance difference was enough to change.
I have the 6T and have been looking at the 9T for a while, only thing holding me back is OxygenOS and getting fast frequent updates with Android 10 coming ,
Mi 9T has more features in the software so am torn between the two. Would probably enjoy the cameras on the 9T better and bigger battery, notchless display.
It's a difficult one alright

Nah 9t pro is cheaper. I'm talking about european price. (about 100€)
Compared to standard oneplus 7 its better. First it's cheaper, the camera is better in my eyes and battery is also bigger. It's notchless but it depends on what you like.
First i thought about buying the OnePlus 7 pro, but it's too big for me and I don't like the curved display.
I also thought the "elevator" camera is a con, but I try it now.
Mi 9T Pro is the better OnePlus 7 pro for me. I don't care about 90hz display.
Custom rom support is very bad with Standard OP7 so for some people it's also a con.

I'm on the fence about the Mi 9T Pro and the OP 7 Pro. I think the device doesn't justify the price for the OP, I think that for that price it's missing wireless charging at least.
I just can't decide. The headphone output is kinda important, so is the screen. I'm torn about this two devices. Without screen/headphone jack which one would you choose just by build quality and overall performance?
Updates are very important too, which one has better community and dev support?

Not sure about the custom firmware support for the OP 7Pro. The factory firmware is good enough in my eyes didn't even think about flashing another firmware on it. I guess you can check the support yourself here on XDA if its important for you. The cons I found with the OP is:
- Its larger then the k20 pro and heavier as well, with small hand you would need to get use to it
- It has a curved screen which I'm also not a fan of - hard to find proper screen protection, the only one worked for me was the film
- Battery usage is a bit behind than the k20 pro even the size should be the same on paper - could be due to the 90hz screen (I tried to switch it off but didn't make much difference). Still last me a day and a half easy though.
I think on software update Oneplus would provide more frequent updates for the 7pro (I had 5-6 updates since I have the phone). I had a poco f1 before and xiaomi only gave 1 update in every month or 2 months. As the phone reached the 1 year mark the updates came less frequent...
Apart of the above I think its is snappier and a better build then the k20 pro. I bought mine sort of 2nd hand not brand new (the k20 pro was also 2nd hand) I wouldn't pay the full price for the OP 7pro.
I think which ever phone you would chose you won't be disappointed. The k20 pro is also a good device.
Most of the above is my subjective opinion, people are different and others may find things more important which aren't much for me. GL for your purchase

Thank you, I really appreciate that you took some time to answer. I can get the 6/128 version for 600 usd including warp charger, I still feel it is a lot. And I'm kinda doubtful about the build quality of the Mi 9t Pro.
Is 600 usd a good price and is the warp charger really that useful?

Should i buy it after Google ban?

Hello , now i my position i have s9 plus, i am about to change to s10+ or p30 pro , but i am sure i have my fears about p30 pro cause of the ban.
I live in Greece so we dont know anythign about the ban yet or the google apps, they said that they will not stop support google apps but is that for sure?
Maybe i buy it and after 2-3 months or so they stop supporting it.
What do you guys think? should i buy s10+ to have my head clear o i can go for p30 pro?
As someone who was in a similar situation and also had an s9+ and now has a p30 pro I must say my only gripes with the device are as follows:
Fingerprint reader does not work correctly in landscape mode just in portrait mode.
Brightness settings reset to default after phone reboot.
Huawei ID collects your banking information and browser settings and sends it to Chinese authorities as part of their verification process.
Other than this I've been very happy with the phone.

P30 pro is not part of the ban it's only the newer models like Mate 30/30 pro and going forward (so you'll be getting googles updates). It's a great phone I've been using Huawei phones for a couple of years now. Good quality device for a reasonable price. Samsung is killing its own market nobody can afford them anymore especially outright. In regards to the Huawei you're not forced to login or sign in. It's optional if you're really concern about your data.

You don't need to have a Huawei ID, and I certainly haven't given them any banking information. Browser settings? Of what use are they? You mean history? Just use a different browser than Huawei's own.
I'm very happy with mine, no issues so far. I don't think there will be any future issues with updates either.
Ban don't affect p30 pro at all. It's a great device go ahead. (Πάρε το με κλειστά μάτια).
P30 Pro is not affected by the ban, its a great phone, brilliant battery life and the photo quality is amazing, my Note 9 is lying in the drawer...
if you are looking at buying a phone in the near future then I recommend you wait a month as there are a fair few phones getting released. I would say wait a little

It really depends on what you need. The P30 Pro is a battery life beast, also has far faster charging at 40W and it's camera system is far ahead of the S10+, however the S10+ has the better Display and uses the more popular MicroSD standard, so it's really up to you.

Question Xiaomi mi 11 ultra vs oneplus 10 pro. Better overall phone?

I currently have the oneplus 10 pro Chinese variant in emerald green. 12/256. It's a great phone but I find the cameras are very much a letdown.
I was offered to trade straight across for an xiaomi mi 11 ultra that's also 12/256.
I know it's older than the oneplus but people are telling me that it completely blows it out of the water in every possible way and that I should go for the trade.
Do any of these you have experience with this phone? I have read some reviews where some people say that it is the perfect phone and read some others where people say that it's just ok.
Should I go ahead with this trade?
Cheers
