Honor 9 lite deadly slow, Battery drainage after Android 9 update - Honor 9 Lite Questions & Answers

Hello all,
I have few questions about the latest Android update(Android version 9) on my device honor 9 lite.
1) Why all the apps get open in background automatically ?
2) Why it got so slow, nothing works, like it used to be?
3) Battery drainage issue?
Please I request honor to fix these terrible bugs ASAP.

Have you made a back up via the backup tool? If so normally after major update it's best to factory reset the device or to clear the cache.
After this let you phone do its thing for a few hours and see how it goes.

I have cleared the cache. The main problem is all the apps automatically getting started in background mode. This is the main cause of battery drainage and my frustration. I can't unlock the phone every minute and clear all those apps from background that I have cleared a minute ago before locking. Maybe in day if I don't have any work, but definitely not at night. This is the worst experience I had in my life with any phone.

Go into settings then battery there is a section on there called app launch, set everything to manual and you'll be able to stop this issue.

[Q] Battery drains over night, BetterBatterySTats... stats

Hi there, until a few days ago I had great battery life with my Razr i, but I noticed that now it drains about 10 to 15% over night.
So I get BetterBatteryStats on the store but I am not really familiar with it, so I'm asking for your advices.
I can see that for a 7h25 period of time, my phone has been in Deep Sleep for 6h7 and Awake for 1h18.
1h18 is quite a long time so I guess the lead is good, but I can't really understand wich app is causing the issue.
Here are the sceernshots (next time I'll resize them :cyclops :

Ok as an update, wl1271_wake seems to be wifi activity, so I guess one of my apps is dealing with several transfers at night (1h08).
Any way to identify the app causing this ?
I thought about an app that monitors wifi and mobile data network activity, do you know a good one ?
Google now is disabled on my phone, but maps is not (I use it every day).
I don't remember having installed a new app or updated any app the day the issue appeared...
Another update :
What bothers me is the line "GTALK_ASYNC_CONN_com.google.android.gsf.gtalkservice.AndroidEndpoint", Google talk is disabled on my phone (and have been before the issue happens), any way to prevent this service to run ?
I guess it's included in "Google Services" and market/maps will not work anymore if I disabled it...
Anyways, not sure if the issue come from there as it's written to have ran for only 1m9 during the night.

I do use it a lot, it just seems unusually high. It's normally below screen, but not in the past week.
Having the same issue as you. On Nexus 5 though. Android 5.1.1.
Some websites are saying people are facing this issue when they're off wifi and using mobile data. I am always on wifi though. Uninstalling all Chrome updates fixed this issue for me, although now I am on a much older version. Let me know if you found a better fix.

Factory reset did the trick, but don't know how long that will last.

Here's what I did yesterday and Chrome has been really good for the last 24 hours which has been the longest streak so far.
Uninstalled all updates, cleared all data, installed the update, then opened it and logged in.

Android OS WakeLock from Hell

Hi,
When my My MotoG 2 is connected to WiFi Android OS sometimes keeps the device awake, eating up my battery until I restart the device. It just happens sometimes, not always.
My device isn't rooted yet due to warranty. I disabled everything I could in Settings>Applications.
Any advices?
Hum, maybe Ambient Display is the offender, let's try it....
Well, I've been testing it in the last few days, and it seems to be solved.
I turned off "Ambient display" and installed Glimpse Notifications for similar funcionality. Now Android Os keeps the device awake few minutes instead of many hours.
Hope it continues this way!

This is not how you troubleshoot wakelocks.
You need an app that analyse the cause of it, like Better Battery Stats.
Once you installed it, you've to leave your phone for around 2 or 3 hours without using it. Then you'll be able to see what causes the wakelock.

Please, read before reply.
Without root these apps are useless, that's why I used such a "brute force" approach. And I shared my results here just in case someobe else finds the same kind of problem, not to teach how to troubleshoot wakelocks, there are plenty of tutorials on this subject around.

Battery life, constant activity

Hey, my battery performance isn't great on OnePlus 3t with stock rom. WhenI look at the stats I can see constant activity bar. Is that something normal? If not, how can I fix it?

And that's my top apps, most of the juice went into Android system and Google apps
You have bad signal. Your phone is constantly searching for signal so it drains a lot of battery
That's right, I was in an underground location. However, the activity bar is almost always blue, even when the phone signal was ok. Is that something I should be worried about?

are you on latest oxygen os? you can also try clearing cache from recovery and let the phone settle for a couple of days and if the problem is still there try hard resetting your phone.
I am on the latest OxygenOS. Let me try clearing cache and let you know

check out the thread in my signature. I've been battling battery issues for a while. Common issues I have run across: either swiftkey keyboard or gboard keyboard (both drain battery), google app/now feed being enabled has done a similar thing (see the last page of that thread).
Hope you figure it out!

Battery drain after update to Android 12

Hi there,
I have a S10 Spanish version (PHE). I have installed the last OTA update. (see software details at the end of this post)
Since then I have experienced battery drain. I consume twice more than before the update.
I use to charge my phone up to 75% and I use it until the end of the day (08:00 PM) with 25% remaining. Since the update to android 12, I am at 25% battery remaining at 02:00 PM.
After updating, I have boot in recovery wipe the cache. I have tried to wipe again the cache and run the Repair App. Same issue.
I have look to the "battery & maintenance care" and no app looks to consume more than before the update.
I have also done a "Reset App preferences" and reboot multiple time the device.
I use Tinycore for years and for CPU frequency since android 10. I can see that the frequency never stay to the minimum, always between 30% and 50%. Before update it use to be at minimum when idle but screen on. --> I am totally unable to figure out what generate this CPU usage.
BTW, when the phone is idle with screen off, I do not have the battery drain issue. Only have battery drain when I use the phone (Screen on)
How can I sort this out?
How can I diagnose the culprit app or service?
As a specificity, I use Package Disabler Pro.
Thanks for your help.
