[Q] O2 UK Lumia 1020 Product Code for the 32GB variant Does it exist?

Hi all,
I have a black 32GB Lumia 1020 GB Country Variant that I want to flash with the o2 32GB variant firmware (for visual voicemail reasons), however I can't find the product code in any list.
Originally, o2 only offered a 64GB variant, and this is the only firmware I can find - 059T1Z9 RM-875 VAR EURO GB O2 SL 64GB BLACK but they now only do a 32GB version, so I think it must exist somewhere!
Will the 64GB work?
Or does anyone know the 32 GB code?
Thanks,
Ric
Hi,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2515453
The 64GB mention is only a simple indication. This is to show that O2 sells the NL1020 GB in 64 GB. You may well flash this ROM on your 32GB device.

Flashing SM-N950U (ATT) onto SM-N9500 question

Hi, i am trying to see if it's possible to flash SM-N950U (ATT firmware) onto the TGY (Hong Kong dual sim) SM-N9500?
If the TGY is 64G RAM, then i am guessing everything is the same except dual sim internally, so should I just be able to flash the stock ROM?
How about if the TGY is 256G RAM? having different RAM size could be problem, I am guessing.
I don't know much about these except i can follow step-by-step instructions quite well.
Thanks in advance.

1. I'm not sure how you plan to do this - Odin won't let you flash other devices or even different variants of the same base model so you will need to use TWRP and a flashable ZIP
2. Not sure about the Snapdragon models but the Exynos models are all identical hardware - IE my Korean N950N still has 2 SIM slots even though it is not sold as a dual-SIM phone.
3. You mean storage, flash memory, not RAM. All the Note 8's have 6GB RAM. As for the question - it shouldn't matter. I've used N950F ROMs (which I believe are all 64gb capacity so far) on my 256gb N950N and I still had the full amount of storage available.
That's an excellent question. I have an unlocked SM-N950W with Telus firmware but I would like to flash it using Rogers firmware.
Does anyone know if this is possible via Odin?
this thread is interesting! that's a question i'm looking for too ! because my Note8 is 64GB , Model SM-N9500 and i'm looking to anybody help to flash to SM-N95xx in USA
I am looking to know if that's possible too. I am planning to purchase a N9500 model and wanted to know if I can flash any other country's firmware on it without tripping knox or routing. My reason is to be able to use samsung pay in my country.
Also, what is the reason for other people here trying to flash different firmware?
Was anyone ever able to get it done? I have a n9500 Hong Kong version, dual sim, 256gb and i’d like to flash it to be able to get everything running on it like Wi-Fi calling and other features. Got this version because I’d like to have the dual sim for traveling and the 256gb for lots of storage. I’m originally on AT&T.

Odin won't let you flash firmware for another model, but if you root you can flash ROMs for identical hardware (IE on the Exynos versions the 950N Korean models can run 950F-based flashable zip ROMs just fine because both 950N and 950F are identical hardware).
The main thing as far as features go would be band support on the modem, as I understand that the N9500 and N950U are both Snapdragon models I would assume you guys can run 950U-based ROMs, but I have no idea about the 9500's LTE bands support in relation to AT&T (I'm on T-Mobile so they are the only USA carrier I was concerned with when I opted for the N950N).

Can I update the firmware of N950F into SM-N950U?
If it matters I've been flashing crazy this past few week due to OEM issue, AFAIK as long as you flash the correct HOME_CSC,CP for your variant everything else should work as intended (exynos firmware=exynos firmware ONLY). I got a N950X but rockin with a N950F firmware (BRA8/BTU) since I got my phone original from UK.
AP: is your system partition with recovery and stuff.
BL: your bootloader
CP: your modem
CSC: this is what features you get in some countries or carriers like Wi-Fi Calling.

I'm basically asking the same question here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/help/flash-sm-n950u-to-sm-n9500-t3772085
Just flash system partition it will boot at least when I flashed n9500 on my n950u
I wouldn't recommend it as the modem drivers maybe different. As Carrier branded devices may have their own specific modem install rather than the one found on other variants.

Recommended Exynos Galaxy Note 8

Hello everyone,
I'm looking to buy the best possible Exynos Galaxy Note 8, and I'm surprised and lost on the number of models available.
Would N950N be a good choice? I would like to replace the ROM by a stock-based one as usual, install TWRP, root, etc.
Would this model work in Brazil and USA on roaming?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

it works, but you'll end up flashing a 950F-based ROM anyway as all the development is using those as a base.
as for "works in Brazil and USA on roaming" that entirely depends on which bands you need.

So we could assume that N950F would be a better choice or doesn't matter anyway?

They are identical hardware, and if you are flashing a ROM anyway the software won't matter either.
The only real consideration I can think of is internal storage, since I believe the 950F is still only available as 64gb, while the N can be bought in a 256gb version.
Get the UK or UAE unlocked dual sim 64 gb version. I have the UK one from Samsung UK. I have my UK EE sim and AT&T sim active. I'm on rooted magisk Dr. Ketan Rom N4 with Iron Kernel 1.1.2. OEM UNLOCK available immediately and still post rom install. Wonda Mobile has the UAE version.
You can get the 950F 128GB in mexico
I really prefer to have the 6GB/256GB Exynos version, so N950N seems a good choice.

No such thing as a 256GB Exynos version, it'll be a Snapdragon.

Yes, there is. Single sim Korean variant. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/help/n950n-note-8-256gb-att-t3675577
You're thinking of the Chinese variant N9500, which is Snapdragon.

Does the XT1900-01 Android ONE have dual-sim?

This seems like a basic question but does the XT1900-01 Android ONE version support dual sim? I'm wondering about taking my X4 to Europe and using Sprint for voice and text and then buying a cheap data card there. Is that possible?
Nope. Just a microSD and SIM card.
What if you flashed the XT1900-7 RETU firmware on a XT1900-1 device and then got a dual sim holder? Would that work or is the baseband version different from NA vs European? NA baseband = M660_7042.27.01.89/01R PAYTON_NA_CUST

ROG PHONE Tencent Edition ROM Update

I purchased a ROG Phone II from ebay not knowing I was getting the Chinese Tencent edition, I got the 512GB phone with 12GB of RAM. I tried checking for updates and I don't seem to see any available OTA so how can I update it to Android OS 10?
It's running this: PKQ1.190414.001.WW_Phone-16.0631.1910.44-0
Model is: ASUS_I001DB
Also it seems to be working fine with T-Mobile... What are the real differences with this phone and the global edition?
There are some tutorials right here!!
And The global edition one are the Bands (like 800mhz one, 4G), the RAM and ROM (Tencent has 8GB RAM, 128GB ROM) and I don't know what else
I can't find a guide that seems to apply to this version of the phone, this one has a glass back and looks and feels like the global version.
Mine is a Tencent from eBay. They put the WW rom on it but left the fingerprint as CN so I couldn't update OTA.
I followed the change the finger print tutorial on xda and then updated by downloading the WW rom from Asus.com
Did you find a guide for this specific version of the OS? 16.0631.1910.44 I can only find other versions of the guide.
Once you unlock the boot loader with the Asus app, change the finger print and relock. the version of rom shouldn't matter.
