It happens while using custom icon packs that themes these apps.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days -- it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and gained contributors in the process. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew further with experience and learned a lot more along the way.
It has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning, striving to grow each day, and continuing to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We do not believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going comes out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. Everything is still being merged. Source is getting changes everytime. So asking for features is pointless as they are still being added. But already customisations are added and that too a lot just like LP roms. As my testers reported smoothness is also great. I havent used it on a1 so cant say about battery

sprout4 and sprout8 roms both work on all a1 devices
just u may get storage problems but they do boot fine

I'd recommend banks, open gapps sometimes give problems and guys about the error. I flashed it on my own phone, both sprout4 and sprout8 and both flashed and booted fine

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean. In the early days it was just a one man show on one device, the EVO 3D. Since then, many others have joined the project and it has grown exponentially.
We have seen a lot of talent contribute to this project of ours. Big or small, the focus was always on contributing to the community. That is ultimately why we do what we do. After Jelly Bean, we decided to move to a new base, OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting base because it challenged us to see what we could do with a project that had different goals in mind. We learned a lot and again, gain contributors. With Lollipop, we moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. We grew even more and learned a whole lot more.
It has been an awesome learning experience and is still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward. Lastly, we DO NOT accept, nor ask, for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc. We will never ask for a dime. Does DU work with f2fs format SD cards? Mine was working fine with RR and CM-13 and now DU can't seem to use it. Every time I try to access it it says "Unfortunately, Documents has stopped.". Restarting the phone does nothing to fix it.

Nope just 2 files, You can use whatever GApps you want. You don't have to flash both. Just giving options.

Sadly the development for Z00E/Z00ED is dead. No developers own that device, none is even interested building with the testers waiting since ages.

No sound in ZE601KL (or whatever d name is) .. tried flashing that zip by CM 13 dev, but still..

Thank you for making this! I have a question. Is there any way to disable the hardware buttons? I found how to set the back, menu, and home buttons to do nothing but not for the recents one.
I presently have them disabled in the cm13 mod in this forum and really like having that. I'd love to use this ROM but need to have that.

Any news on the corrupt SD card issue? I'm running a ze551kl with a 32GB Samsung SD card with a f2fs format. SD works on RR and CM13 but it's corrupt on DU. Went back to CM13 and SD is fine. Seems odd.

just want to ask, can i dirty flash from official build to test or weeklies build? because mine just stuck on starting apps after flash from official to new test build.

Hi, yes it is there if you use the included aosp phone app. If the gapps you install replaces it with Google phone app then you can't record. So you need to install a gapps version that doesn't replace the dialer.

I didn't find an item that includes call recording. installed FlameGApps-11.0-basic-arm64-20210307-BETA.zip, 2021-03-07, 93.9 MB. phone stock app.

If it's still not there, can you take a logcat of recording a call, doesn't have to be long, even a 5 second recording is fine

Hello- A question about the installation process. I understand the steps but in the process of resetting and formatting the phone everything seems to get wiped including the new ROM zip.
How is one supposed to install the ROM zip when the formatting erases everything ?
I ended up doing this and thankfully used sideload and all was good but am confused by the main installation method.

You can flash the rom and then format if it's easier, the end result is the same. Or reboot recovery and you can copy the rom to the internal storage again.
Anyway the format is only necessary when coming from a rom with encrypted data. You can dirty flash updates.

7. Disable DM-Verity if your bootloader is locked

9. Install the ForceEncryption disabler if you want to keep your Data unencrypted and be accesible from recovery (recovery doesn't mount encrypted Data partition in A12 so far)

Thank U a lot! It is awesome ROM. Very stable and fast, getting OTA and no bugs. The only one problem is back and home gestures, which are not usable in some apps like YouTube. Please reply if U know what to do with that.

I'm not facing such issue, both gestures are working fine for me while using YouTube.
