Hi,
since kitkat (4.4.x) there is a notification for upcoming alarms 2 hours before the alarm time (a second alarm clock sign on the left top of screen)
I dont need this notification at all and its annoyin because this alarm sign looks almost like e.g. a whatsapp notification.
Is there a way to permanently disable this feature?
thx
nobody else annoyed or has an idea?
No way mate. I don't understand why there's not a xposed mod yet to remove that:laugh: Make your request here, maybe some dev is interested

Yes, I dislike it too. I searched everywhere for a way to disable it, but I never found a solution...

Hi,
Although many users found this new KitKat feature useful, I found it annoying: I don't need to have an Upcoming Alarm Notification to remind me that there's going to be a real alarm in the future. Fyi, I'm running CM11 20141124 Snapshot on a Galaxy S4. Here's the fix:
Next time you get one of these Notifications, go into Notifications and long press on the Upcoming Alarm entry (note that the long press might have been on "Dismiss now"). You will then get a prompt to disable notifications for this type of notification.
I'll appreciate if you will please reply with the exact long press location.
Also - If someone knows how/where this can be toggled back on, I would appreciate that info.
Regards . . .
BretAB
P.S. As noted elsewhere on the web, if you don't want to see the little alarm clock icon the you see on the right side of the Status Bar (recall that I'm running CM11 20141124), go into Clock, click on the hamburger that's on the lower right hand side, choose Settings, and disable Show Icon. This seems to override the "Show Notifications" that is enabled by default in Apps | All | Clock | "Show notifications" checkbox (or maybe that "Show notifications" checkbox at this location is for something else?) .
Hi and welcome to the board,
I'm a little confused with ur post. See my questions below the quotes of ur post here:

first of all, to understand ur post: is this a quote from somewhere else?
Second: disabling the notifications in the app settings works BUT it also disables the way to snooze or stop the alarm from lockscreen - so, not very helpfull/usefull?!
I'll appreciate if you will please reply with the exact long press location.

so thats actually the question of u?
answer: there are two ways to get there:
1)
unlock ur phone, (an alarm in the next 2 hours must be active) scroll down notification bar (wiping from top of phone to bottom) and long press on the alarm notification and choose "App-Details" in upcoming popup
2)
unlock ur phone, open the settings (the generall android settings), go to "apps", than the overview for "all apps", there should be "clock" or "deskclock" for me its "Uhr"
there u can disable amd enable it
so its also the answer to ur next question, i guess?! (see below)
Also - If someone knows how/where this can be toggled back on, I would appreciate that info.

It is 2017 now and the annoyance continues!
Dear All,
I just published my first module on xPosed. Don't be hard with me if there are any trouble. However if you describe the bugs, I would be glad to solve it. I have done a few set of test on my Nexus 5 but it should works on any device with stock Android Lollipop. This module allows you to change the two shortcuts on the stock lockscreen.
You can use this thread if you have any question or feedback about the module.
PS: English is not my native language, please don't mind for the spelling & grammar mistakes.
UPDATE 12/03/2016:
A new module is available to do the same thing but on Marshmallow devices (HERE)
Changelog 2.1 :
-You can change the color of the ClockView, Icon Tint, ...
-You can resize the icons
Changelog 2.0 : (Due to deep changes, you may need to reinstall the app or reselect your shortcuts after update)
- You can now use « real android shortcuts » (like google maps route, voice recognition, inbox reminder,…)
- You can choose your icon directly from your gallery
- Improved some interface details (Better material design integration)
- Minor bug fixes.
Changelog 1.2 :
- Minor bug fixes.
- You can now activate or deactivate shortcuts
- Tablet support for the left shortcut (I do not have any tablet to test so I hope it works :\, just tell me if it’s not)
Changelog 1.1 :
- Improved some interface details and minor bug fixes.
- Bug about the camera preview when you launch a shortcut fixed
- You can now edit the text which appear when you hit a shortcut on the lockscreen
- You can now activate or deactivate the “natural white tint” of the icon shortcut on the lockscreen
-List of apps sort by alphabetical order
Works great on my HTC One M7 running CM12 and Xposed, thanks! Been looking for a way to do this.
Love how it changes the icons and makes them white. Have it set to whatsapp and chrome atm
Tried on my M7 too and it works
But I found that if I click on an icon instead of swiping the tip is in your language (I think..) like "balayer l'ecran vers la droite"

Thanks guys for feedback, I appreciate.
I know it is in french and I'm sorry about that. My first goal was to make a module as quickly as possible to change shortcuts on the lockscreen. However I work on an update which enable you to customize this text.
Works great on my m7 with gpe lollipop.
But would it be possible to add a option to choose a image or color instead of what can be seen on the attached pictures?
It's kinda odd to see the grey screen with a camera symbol while opening WhatsApp
Thanks alot, will definitely keep an eye on this!

Yeah I know that's really strange. OP can't you set it to be just like the left shortcut? The left shortcut (previously the phone shortcut) does not have this problem and it has a nice transition
I'm on it. I will try to publish an update before the end of the week-end
New update 1.1
Would you be able to add the ability to change the lockscreen wallpaper? There's no easy way to change just the wallpaper on the lockscreen, while having the main wallpaper be different.
Will be able to add a shortcut left from the tablet in the future?
Great job on this mod! I only want 1shortcut with the other shortcut set as NONE. Is there a way to do that? Thanks
It would be amazing if you could implement slim lock screen shortcuts :fingers-crossed:
Is it possible if you can make it able to change lockscreen clock as well?
Nice module, great work!!!
Would be nice if you can select a shortcut instead of an app, for example a shortcut to a tasker task.

Also +1
Currently my workaround is to set my launcher (nova) as app for the shortcuts, so that after unlocking, it will go straight to the homescreen. Not a perfect solution, because unlocking still takes longer because of the app starting process (which also seems to take longer with this module if I choose the contact app compared to the stock setting with the contact app) :/
Funny, it seems most people here want LESS from the lockscreen, while I want more.
I don't know exactly how you would do it with the current setup, but I would love something akin to the lock ring targets found in 4.x roms. I loved being able to launch right into 5 or 6 programs right from the lockscreen. I've tried so, so many third party ones but none of them have the same ease of use or functionality that the stock one employs while also being a seamless experience.
With that being said, I would obviously love if someone were able to get more targets (an idea that I had was to start to pull up and THEN have the targets appear above or something, but I don't know how feasible this is)

I don't have a problem with shortcuts on the lockscreen, I just have a problem with the way they are implemented in Lollipop. For unlocking you have to swipe up, but I usually swipe kind of diagonal from down left to up right (seems to be a habit from kitkat and prior). That works like 90% of the time. In 10% I accidentally open the dialer, which is very annoying, since it costs time.
Thats why I want to kill the dialer shortcut
Now that you mention it I had that problem when I started to use Lollipop with that. At this point it's mostly resolved but every now and again I do end up going straight into an app
If you are using pin or pattern lock, every time you need to swipe up first to input the unlock pattern, is there a way to default to input pattern? And swipe down if I want to go back to the lock screen? I wish Google made the shortcuts optional....
Hello XDA members,
Sadly, the new S6 and S6 edge comes with pre-installed Whatsapp. Which prevents the installation of any other Whatsapp MOD, such ash Whatsapp+ or others.
The Old project was abandoned, a NEW project called YoWA is now available with more features and better support!
Check it here
BUT NOT ANYMORE! Thanks to Whatsapp MOD by (Archit Jan), I was able to find a way to install a MODED Whatsapp with all privacy mods and visual mods on the S6 and S6 EDGE! WITHOUT ROOT OR UN-INSTALLATION of the original Whatsapp.
The new APP is Called WhatsMapp SOLO, and what makes it different than other MODS, is that it can be installed next to the original Whatsapp. ]
So Basically, you can have 2 numbers on your phone, if you want to.
WhatsMapp Solo 1.1.0 (Pre-Final BETA)
Features:
- Last seen hide
- Blue tick hide
- Double tick hide
- Hide typing..
- Change Icon

- AntiBan code added
- FAB

- Online status on Chat Rows.
- Pattern lock on whatsapp.
- Chat balloons colors not working.
How to Install properly (without losing chats or media):
1- Open the Original Whatsapp (pre-installed)

I am looking for a feature that disables any notifications from group chats. Example say, once I press mute and untick "Show Notifications", I want the notification completely gone. Example as is I have 2 friends texting me and one group chat going off. I only want to see " 2 messages from 2 conversations".

If you want to permanently disable notification, go to phone settings > Apps > under downloaded tab choose and "WhatsApp" and untick notification. I am not sure whether this is the one you want to achieve.
how i can customize this mode ?

What I meant was if if you have 3 conversations incoming. 2 from separate individuals and 1 group chat. When I press mute and untick "Show Notifications" for the group chat. In the notifications shade, I only want to see " X messages from 2 conversations" instead of "X messages from 3 conversations"
Is it possible to have this running alongside the other whatsapp? Or do I have to disable the orignal whatsapp to use this?
I tried to install it, but it says the version became obsolete because it is old. Any tips on how to get around that?

Only one option is their op should integrate latest whatsapp files in his apk.
Tip : Do not use such whatsapp which disabled your last scene because whatsapp is banning.

Hey guys. currently feeling like an old man trying use a smartphone for the first time
How to show my battery status and date in the watch itself?
How do i select a contact from my contact list to make some actions with it? currently i can only choose from my favourites
Any recommended guides for newbies for that watch?
is it recommended to root (if possible?)
Please help a newbie trying to make the most of the watch get started
Thanks
Battery level is a simple swipe down from the top. Whilst you're there, the date appears underneath for a short period before it becomes the sideways swipe indicator. Of course, this is variable; any info largely depends on if you pick a watch face that displays it or not - some will have battery and date visible without doing anything.

Pick on of the apks that lets you customize your own watchface then you can display what you want on the face. The main Apk's I use are:
Facer
Pujie Black
Watchmaker Premuim
Watchmaker is the most universal and has a HUGE community following for predone faces. Pujie Black is the easiest way to quickly make a custom watchface.
Hello everyone,
Since I updated on MIUI 11, I can't find where is the setting for notifications on lockscreen.
Before the update I set up the lockscreen notification to private (that none notification is showed on lockscreen).
Today I would like to change this setting, but the option is not anymore in lockscreen>advanced settings as it was in MIUI 10, and I searched everywhere, I can't find it
Does someone know how to enable lockscreen notifications on MIUI 11 ?
Thank you in advance,

Settings - Notifications - point at the icon that reads "Notifications on the lockscreen" - Format (or what the wording is in English)
Here you have three options, chose the one you like.
If you are looking for a setting just search for it in the search field at the top.

Thank you very much! On the french translation the first panel didn't talk about lockscreen and the search engine didn't get me any results...
Note to myself, search the interface with other languages before posting!

I myself use Swedish so I have the same problem. I need to search with both Swedish and English and then perhaps a couple of synonyms too!

1. Go to setting --> lock screen
2. Enable wake lock screen
Finish
