Hi, I flashed the oreo stock with odin and now i want to root with magisk without installing twrp recovery, to keep stock recovery and stay official. Anyhow?
As far as i know you can do it by patching the boot.img of the stock rom on magisk and then with 7zip you can make a .tar file wich you can flash through Odin on AP. But i'm not sure, because i didn't do it, but it can be an option, I hope it has been helpful for you.

Finally got it downloading! Tried again at client office, now I've got to stay here till I get it.
Thanks @Warboy!
Also when you say 'deknoxed' you're talking about the bootloader I'm presuming, right?
Edit: Looks like the bootloader (img) IS in here.
NM i found the new modem so i'll just flash that

there is no bootloader in here. There is only boot.img which is the kernel.
DeKnox, no Knox apks or aboot.

just want to ask if how is the procedure on upgrading TWRP? do i need to flash it thorugh odin? or can i just flash it using TWRP?
2.7.0 ----> 2.7.1
Edit:
how about baseband? is there any difference in changing it? currently im on DXAMJ1, does it have any difference on performance?
or battery saving?

You can flash the new version also via TWRP then you have to restart your recovery after update

Just reboot to recovery again after the update. Then it'll be done.

Basebands here. The performance is not affected (I think), but the battery yes. In my case I use XANA2 instead ANC2 (newest one for I8190).

Yes, that is normal. You can't install Gingerbread ROM over JB. You will end up in soft brick, now you need to flash stock JB firmware again. I think that recovery is not working now too, so you can't just flash JB ROM.

So any other way to unbrick?

Yes, and you can't flash JB ROM (custom ROM) because you can't go to recovery. And you must flash firmware with Odin.
Thanks, it helped!

So here you go

Has anybody tried this on a device that is not the 900F? Wondering if this is crossflashable between some Snapdragon variants.
This is only boot image and not the complete kernel. Modules are missing and could lead to soft-brick.
