Hmm, so Mi 6X is not recommended for modders?
Why not?? Procedure is almost the same, except you need to wait 72h for xiaomi to unlock your phone and use official xiaomi unlock application. Once when you unlock bootloader, you can easily flash twrp and install magisk.zip.
So, two phones, same hardware, different software, system partitions etc. I have converted my A2 to 6X, and reverted to stock A2 several times. So, you can chose what ROM you want as daily driver. Because of better TWRP, only A partition table, and more GSI ROMs "A" only, I have converted my A2 to 6X , and still using it like that.
So, for me it doesn't meter A2 or 6X, both phones can be converted into each other, just the different bootloader unlocking procedure. A2 is just easier and faster to unlock.

Can anybody share a working Google camera without the need to unlock bootloader nor root?
not a the moment without patched boot.img / TWRP available for Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite .

Hello. I know it is little bit late but for me this is something new. So finally I have Xiaomi Mi Mix. So I want to install Lineage OS and I read need to unlock bootloader. So I don't know should I need to use Mi Unlock app to unlock bootloader or just enable OEM unlock and I can flash custom twrp? For the moment I enable this feature in developer options.

Could you please confirm that the procedures for unlocking the bootloader and for installing the TWRP are practically identical to those already performed for unlocking the bootloader of the xiaomi mi note 10 normal.

I have a Chinese variant of xiaomi mi 11 ultra with Chinese rim. I would like to flash eu rim on it. However I cannot unlock the bootloader. It always gives the following message.

Can someone please tell me what can I do to unlock this.
