Hi guys,
I use PE ROM Android Pie. When I install Facebook it lags like crazy when I scroll. I tried "de-bullshified" version here on xda it is the same thing.
Only with lite it is normal, but it is not good experience for me.
With the MIUI it was fine though. So this makes me think it is a ROM or a setting issue.
The lag is only with Facebook, though.
Any workaround?

My note is running official jellybean rom, unrooted, recently after updating to the latest version of opera browser (ver. 14) from play store, I am facing a weird problem. I charge my battery with the phone off. After I power on the device opera disappears by itself from my phone as if never installed. It has already happened twice. Anybody else faced similar issue and any solutions?

Just like me. I'm running JB neat rom rooted in a samsung SII and opera dissapears itself magicaly. While it is running, drain my battery like a hell and i have FC. With titanium i've restored old version until a fix appears. New Firefox is a good alternative

But someone report that they got downloading problem when they use opera to download...
the newer version of opera i guess is built for an optimum performance on 4.2. Yet as the version is still new, the bugs would be ironed out soon. anyway the newer version is a major step forward and it works very fine on my 4.2.2 supernexus rom on the note.
Hello, i was testing some things under my brothers RAZR i and then he told me that there was a lot of dead-apps which at the moment you run them they self-close without giving any option or FC so called... and other apps has a lot of issues under this Android device, it's weir because in my Atrix most of the to-mention apps work...
Some of them was a flashlight, speed test, 9gag as is an example of the ones which works really bad.
We did wipes and started over, the only app that got fixed was Chrome, but then the other ones crashed like before, is really strange since they where working...
He is using JellyBean official rom, non-root, non-unlocked bl.
Any way to solve the apps issues??

Please Do not install Camera and Google app from M preview, Just stick to current Google play updates, Installing any App from M preview will make you regret.
Camera app:
Camera app from M preview don't have any special feature or extra features as compared to current google play version and it lags on our device, So stick to Current Google Play version it is Stable.
Google app:
It consumes more ram and battery, Launcher have app drawer just like Nokia's S60 app drawer but with white background, You Cannot revert back to older version after installing M preview version, The only way to go back is factory reset, So be careful...
Well, I didn't notice any lag whatsoever..
i like the app drawer. and i dont have any battery issues. so what's the point?

No battery issues or lags with either of apps for me. You can remove Google app; just replace the base.apk at /data/apps/com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox-1/ with the playstore version.
only bugs I've faced: photosphere FC, OK Google doesn't work.

You may not noticed but i have, as I have two spice dream uno, so I have personally observed then created the thread.

I noticed camera app lags and but according to you M preview camera have bug too,
Using M preview Google App.apk I have faced Battery Drains faster Battery dont know about Ok google command, so these are the reason i created the thread and the major problem was ****ty launcher and no revert back.

Just to make sure.....how many off you have Facebook problemes, like Random freezes, phone restart itself ?
I've stop using the facebook app and start to use the web browzer and my problemes are gone :S
Not me... Facebook app works perfectly. I admit that my nexus 6 is stock and unrooted though too.
I use Facebook lite which you can find the apk at http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/facebook-2/lite/
so this started happening since i upgraded to android 10...basically it keeps saying updating and downloading feature for facebook, it goes away sometimes but comes back everytime i open the app
anyone had the same problem or any solutions?
also i need to use the official fb app as i work for a company called appen and that requires the use of the official app, otherwise would have switched to folio by now

I have the same problem and no solutions. I have only temporarily hidden the notification...

i wonder if it has an effect on battery life cos it seems much worse on android 10 imo (although i did dirty flash)
I have similar "occurrence" with Google Chrome and after recent Chrome update i don't have this "issue" anymore.
So, do tell?!
Mysterious are Facebook's paths!

i wonder if its a FB issue or xiaomi
I had that problem with both Facebook and chrome ...facebook seems to fix itself and I just disabled chrome to fix it ?

never had a problem with chrome but i froze fb with tb and only unfreeze it when i need it for work now...still so weird how no one has any idea what the issue is
1. uninstall both Facebook and Messenger
2. install them back from apk not Playstore
3. uncheck "auto update" for both on Playstore
For the workaround, uninstall the Facebook app that was installed using Play store and download an alpha or beta version of Facebook.
so downloading the fb beta version via apk seems to have sorted the problem for now...thanks to the 2 guys who suggested it ^

yeah here is my fix for now. since i downloaded the original in play store.. i also have an app calles APKPURE
I just updated the facebook application using apkpure app, andnits not popping uo aymore hehe
