Latest week I have reset my L830 and I can't fetch My apps library list on WP8.1 with 805a01f4 error. Although any apps from the catalog or search downloaded well as well as I can buy a new apps. I trying to reset it a couple of times with no luck. Is it the end? I have backuped mostly of my apps to deploying it from PC. I just wanna to know the reason. Twitt to @MicrosoftHelps have no answer. Triyng to get help from B2X but they ask me to pay for answers.
According to WP8 users report i talk with, Microsoft has disable some WP8 features after drop support for it. So don't reset your WP8 if ya need feature to fetch your app library on your WP8 otherwise ya've get butthurt.

I'm currently running Google Android on my HTC Touch Vogue thanks to dzo, but I'm wondering, why is the Marketplace not available for other phones yet?
I mean, the OS is pretty well pointless at stock. All you can do is check your email and browse the web (oh right, and make calls too!). It's the applications that make it useful.
Is there any reason in specific that Google decided not to make the Marketplace available to the open-source public?
And on the same matter, if I were to request somone upload .apk's of certain (free) apps from the Marketplace, would that be deemed warez?
I'm dying to get my hands on several apps, including meebo, fBook and Twidroid, all of which are free, but are only available on the Marketplace
It would not be considered wares because they are free apps and games. As far as the market im not sure why its not open to public.
Ok then, would anyone be willing to upload the .apk's of "fbook, "Twidroid" and "meebo"?
Thanks in advance.
If i get a hold of them i will put them in my sig files and let you know, i am searching for them every day and adding them as I get them. meebo added!!

There is an optional feature for apks published to Market to key the apk to the G1 that originally downloaded it. Probably won't be usable until billing is enabled for Market sometime early next year.
try android-dls.com they have .apk's for many apps on te market
I and several other persons (I have read forum posts about) have heard from Google that they will be putting access to the Android Market via the internet.
My comment to them was that if one had to use the phone to get to the market than they were no better than the "i" (insert SUCKS) market.
Their comment back was that they were working on access to the market from a PC via the internet.
So, it is just a matter of time.
Google keeps the applications that interface with their services (Market, GMail, Maps) closed source. As long as you can get the apk's to those applications, you should be able to install them. Google really should add these apps to the android repository so everyone can access them.
I created web site for android free and open source applications just for users like you, who don't have access to the Marketplace for any reason. There is nothing uploaded yet but as soon i finish my other work i will take care of this. If anyone want to upload an app please register. URL is http://andapps.org

The Marketplace client uses restricted API calls to perform some functions (http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/msg/71f14048eec1c8df), also there is no public web interface into the market, so I think Google believe that revealing what the Marketplace client does to access app data from their servers will lead to mashups and third party apps which use the data in ways that Google may not want to support in the future.
Al.
P.S. If you're interested in an alternative feel free to download the AndAppStore client from http://andappstore.com/AndroidPhoneApplications/apps/7661 or just visit http://andappstore.com/. I'd welcome any feedback about either the AndAppStore site or the app.
way to get apps...
There is a program you can download from the market "ASTRO" that allows you to backup things (and apps) to your SD card. Once the app is on the SD card, plug the G1 into your computer and browse (copy, paste, etc) away.
I wouldn't want to suggest that the apps could then be posted, or whatever, but...

I bought a game off of the market and the my HD7 had to be replaced.
How do I get this game back?
When you set up your windows id on the phone, as long as it is the same one as the original, it should automatically find/install any paid apps.If it doesn't search the market place for it and click buy, it should then tell you that the app has been purchased and would you like to install it again.
Hope this helps.
to elaborate further:
If you bought the app using the zune desktop client, it will autoinstall when you sync the device the first time.
If you bought it straight from the phone then you need to find it in marketplace and click on "buy" like stated above and it should let you install it again for free.
I have discussed this with zune devs and they are working on a better solution (being able to manage apps through zune).
is it possible that i sideload apps that i did not download from the official website?? if yes then how??
Assuming you mean un-encrypted homebrew or beta apps, yes. You need the WP8 SDK from Microsoft, then use the Windows Phone Developer Registration tool to dev-unlock your phone. Dev-unlock with a free account (that is to say, any typical Microsoft/Windows Live account) will only allow sideloading up to two apps at once. For $19/year, you can get up to 10 at once, though. In either case, you would then use the "Application Deployment" tool to install the XAP.
If it's an app that you *should* have gotten from the store - a game, or any paid app especially - then no. It will be encrypted with a DRM scheme that we haven't yet broken, and honestly, I wouldn't tell you how even if I knew.
I'm a little confused with all these new things.
There is not now another way to sideload un-encrypted homebrew without developer registration?
It is not possible to modify the xap of an homebrew to show it in the marketplace thanks to a proxy?
No and no.
Ok thank you. It was to be sure because I had a doubt when I read what o2neouzr tries to do there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2398275&page=8
As soon as I got my 810, I let it update to Marshmallow (factory image)
Now I am trying to load on a number of my usual apps, and they refuse to install. I have no idea why. One is VLC- so I can watch videos. Another is all of Microsoft's Office stuff (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.) Does anyone have an idea about why that might be? Or a method of debugging the store?

i had issues with vlc after my update apparently it didn't support marshmallow! but there is another vlc version 0.9.10 that works.
re: office, they just installed fine on mine so not sure why they not working on yours, maybe go into samsung apps and check for update?
That's the weird thing here. I have MS WORD on here already, preloaded. But if I go into Google Store it says my device is not compatible. I could try the Sammy store, but I didn't really want to send my email to another spam haven.

same here, but when i go into word, it works fine, so no real issue, and then word said about an update which i said yes, and it took me to samsung app store to start the update
My mum uses a 735 as she finds its easier to use than android, but i'm her tech support (i always use android) so i just bought a 735 from ebay just so i can talk my mum through how to do things if she's stuck (she's 81)
I'm having trouble signing in to my hotmail account on the phone, it seems like it's not finding any server to connect to.
Is it only the store & support that finished?
I should still be able to log into my HM account on the phone?
Sorry, but Windows Phone 8.1's support has officially ended since 2018 (I think), and has finally plugged out its services since December 2019. The only option is to either upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile or switch to another os. If you can't due to some various and valid reasons, you can try unlocking the phone for dev use (dev unlock) and deploy xap/appx/appxbundle files of apps you like to install... But that includes luck if someone else has that. (I don't want to promote piracy, but you need pirated/cracked xap/appx files in order to deploy them without error)
If you just wanted to add an email provider, use the "advanced setup" option in settings > email+accounts.
Unless someone has finally found the solution for WP 8.1 without upgrading to Windows 10 to install apps from the Store, you have to rely on finding deploying app files in the Internet.
