Hi all,
Does anyone have any suggestions regarding device to run Android Auto in my car? I'm looking to replace the stock 2 din unit.
I've long been installing different flavours of Android on my devices since the HTC TYTN II days, i'm looking for a device with good XDA community support
Thanks

Hi guys, I'm new to the Android head unit world and am having a hard time figuring out where to start.
I have a couple questions.
1) what is the highest recommended double din unit at the moment?
2) is there any way to get an Android auto type interface as the launcher
Sorry if this is something that has already been answered but I have been looking for a couple weeks now and can't really find any definitive answers.

Android Auto is nice, so start there. Get a model that is known to work with that (as a standalone launcher), and see how its compatible with your car.
Hi people,
I have a car 2din android radio with some ****ty android version for a car. But i want a normal android version like my phone.
I have no idea where to find it, already had a look around on xda forum but without succes, maybe someone already done it?
It's a android radio from aliexpress.
Best Regards gert.
Howdy folks,
I have this old, Android KitKat-based, Android HMDI MediaPlayer called "OpenHour Gecko" which I'd love to give a new purpose. There's no more support from the producer of this neat little machine :-(
Can anyone please give me a clew where and with whom I can talk about this? Here you can find the specs -> https://www.cnx-software.com/2015/0...-player-features-hisilicon-hi3798m-processor/ <-
Thanks in advance and best regards from Germany,

Update: I basically know how to flash Android-based phones, did this successfully to my Samsung Galaxy Note4 and my girlfriend's Fairphone 2.
Hey everyone! I am Ryan and I just came across this thread when googling some android related questions. I like to tinker around with old electronic devices in my free time and find ways to get use out of them.
My current project is to see what I can do with these 32 inch context media tablets that run an old version of android 4.4. I discovered how to sideload apps but would like to upgrade the android version if possible to expand the possibilities.
Wish me luck!
Ryan

also plis xperiment on stb zte B760h (switch powe button model) which android 4.4.2 installed. I have no succes to unclock it so far.
I intend to update my phone to either VIVO X FOLD or OPPO FIND N phone. But I see posts in xda forums of these phones and Android Auto saying Android Auto is not working in these phones either using USB Code or Wirelessly. So,can I get Android Auto working in these phones if I purchase Android Auto Wireless Dongle and without ROOTING THESE PHONES?
Anybody please advise.

Unfortunately Android Auto does not function on these phones (I own a Find N), as it needs to be installed as a system app from factory and Google Services generally is not supported on Chinese ROM variants. I imagine if they could be rooted (yet to be achieved on the Find N) then you MIGHT be able to get it working
Android Auto on Chinese Rom
I have been struggling with making Android Auto works on my China Version Moto Edge X30, and finally I succeeded. I am very excited so want to share the solution. Previously, it will show "no installed apps work with this usb accessory" when...
