Hi everyone.
I just bought my Mi A2 globla version a month ago. After turn on the device, an update to android 9 was requested. I carried on with the update, but right after the update, I insterted my second sim card in the slot 2 and the phone not recognize. I tried also to put this second card in slot 1 and works fine, showing that problem is not the sim card.
Does someone knows a way to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

Hey I use CyanogenMod in my c6902. Recently two new updates have been released. When I update to any twos then my imei gets vanished and thus sim card is not detected. What to do? Any idea?
So im using a dual sim exynos variant of note 8. I have one sim installed in first slot, and a second sim with extrender into the second slot with sd card. It worked flawlessly until PIE. Now, the os recognises the 2 sim and sd card too, but guves me an error like: there is something in my sim tray slot.. Anyone know how can i get rid of this message and use my phone like before?
Thanks for the help!
I think that Samsung may have blocked the use of this feature with the Pie update.

Hi.
Same happened with me also, I'm searching for a solution.
Found same issue in S9/S9+ and they solved it with Xposed mode or something.
Any solution for note 8??

Is there any way to use dual sim and memory card in android pie withot root?
I have the same problem here after pie update. Before the update I had no issues at all. Using 2 SIM + memory. No root. Only using original software. Hopefully somebody can find a fix.
After updating to PIE, i'm note able to use hybrid sim slot on my Galaxy Note 8. When i insert hybrid in Galaxy note 8 Pie, POPUP appears says sim card tray slot problem, but phone has read both behind and memory card. Pop does not get disable and stuck on the screen. Sorry. It's no longer supported on Pie. You might be able to flash a custom ROM though and still use it not sure.

If you have a 2nd slot for the sim, try that. Or get a news SIM - that one may be bad. It happens

Hi All,
I was hoping someone would be able to assist this issue that I am facing. I have a S21 Ultra purchased a couple of years ago in Sydney, Australia.
Recently, my SIM card stopped working on my S21 Ultra. Every other feature works and the SIM card works fine on a different phone. I have also tried replacing the SIM card, but it still does not work. The same SIM card works on a different S21 Ultra phone.
I also reset the network settings and yesterday I performed a full factory reset, but the SIM card still does not work.
I tried searching for a solution here, but could not find any threads where someone has faced a similar issue. If someone could kindly help or suggest some other tips, that would be highly appreciated.
Cheers
Have you flashed any custom module/ ROM/ firmware on your phone?

Thanks for your response. Nope, just the usual OTA updates.

Have you tried putting another sim card on the current slot that isn't working?
You have the following two options:
1. Assuming your current sim is in slot 1, try putting it in slot 2 (or vice-versa).
2. Try eSim with your current number.
The issue appears to be the firmware that came with the latest OTA update.

Yup, I have tried another SIM card but that doesn't work. That sim card works successfully on other phones. Also I just have a slot for a single physical sim card. Thanks

If a factory reset doesn't solve a problem, you'll have to wait for the next update. For now, eSim seems to be the only solution.

Yup, seems like it. Yes, I will try and get an eSim and see how that goes. Thanks for your responses. Appreciate it!
