What latest version are you using, and where are you based? I noticed a new version that deals with ghost touches, but I can get a new version (updater says I'm on latest version already). I'm on 10.3.11 and don't have the issues you describe. But Chinese stable is already on 10.3.15...

It seems to be a hardware issue and not a software issue, so there will be no much difference by changing Roms.

That's strange, I'm on the same ROM and have absolutely no ghost touch issues whatsoever...
The wifi on this device is garbage . Tons of people complaining about it online.
The wifi driver implementation seems spotty, in my case I have 3 active routers in my workplace and 2 in my house. The phone wifi disconnects the current connection in favor of the stronger signal every bloody time when the signal goes beyond 3 bars(4 is the max, right?). The touch too is buggy at best, swipes aren't detected usually and is processed as a tap.

Strange, I find that the WiFi far exceeds that of my previous mid-range Samsung.

Hi, i know there's already a similar thread, but as there's no MIUI 8 global for oneplus 3t, i ask it there another time.
Can someone, somehow port the global rom for this device, there's only a chines one made by Wu, and i'm not the only one looking for multiple language.
I'v tried to translate the one made by Wu using jBART, but it bootloop and doesn't work.
The best would be a Rom including Dash Charging, and OOS's camera, and the side slider.
Thx you a lot for your support..

Just need kernel source release for Nougat and then a suitable kernel to match OOS 4.0.1 on the OP3 T.
I think Xiaomi is your best bet if you want MIUI 8.

Hi,
I am planning to purchase Redmi K20 pro (Indian/Global). However, I have read tons of posts about multi touch issues on the device. Some said it happens on all AMOLED displays. However, I do not have any multi touch issue on my Realme X. I tested the multi touch tester app like some showed on Youtube and didn't find any issue on Realme X. I would like to know how bad is the multi touch issue on Redmi K20 Pro and if all the units have the same issue? I remember having a Poco F1 which had terrible touch issue. I don't want the same experience. I know I am asking this question on Redmi K20 pro thread and chances are most of the users will give false information like what happened the last time on Poco F1 group. I know we all love our device even if something is bad about it. I would request you to kindly give me an honest feedback as I need to make sure I am not making a mistake by selling my Realme X and getting a K20 pro.
Thank you.
If you're going to be using claw attachment or game with 3 fingers+, there's touch jitter as shown on many videos. I personally play using two thumbs and never have any jittering or touch issues (only some mistouches due to narrow side bezel).
So, if it's a upgrade from Realme X to K20pro (forgot Realme X specs), it's a good choice.
My device is Chinese variant tho, not sure about Indian variant.
Mi 9T Pro ll Tapatalk
I've never encountered any touch issues.
However I'm not a serious phone gamer, just play relatively 'simple' time filler games on it.
From what I remember from last year, it's things like FPS type games, that require fast multi touch actions, where a small number of people, in specific scenarios, who encountered some minor glitches.
I really don't understand why "flagship killer" devices made by Xiaomi suffer from touch issues. First Poco F1 and now K20 pro. I really like the development community of Xiaomi, but issues like these are making me stay away from them. Last time I used a Poco F1, I had terrible times. Although my Realme X has only SD710, but it doesn't have any touch or screen related issues.
I don't think you should upgrade then.. if you couldn't solve the poco F1 touch problem which had been solved by flashing custom kernels by many users.. why don't you spend money and buy an iPhone or something.. Stop flaming and start spending more then

Wow can't take the truth or what?
You're inefficiency of reading through everything and researching is not my problem.. and try to figure out which panel of display you have and replace the model which don't have touch problem.. for example poco F1 had two display models.. so research first .. you're reports don't matter to me .. I've read the rules yeah probably instead of iphone i ahouldve said Samsung or what ?

I remeber you from poco group, i made the ghost touch thread.
I sold the poco and got a k20pro over a year ago and am way happier. Used Aosp roma but now mostly miui based roms(miui12 is greta imho).
Anyway if you would have taken that cash you spent.on now 3 devices and gotten an iphone or oneplus or wtvr maybe you would have been happier. Nothing to cry about if someone says it.
One reason for choosing a ROM is obviously the region one lives in. But there are other possible reasons for going with a ROM from other regions or sources. I have tried almost all available ROMs (which I know of...) on my Mi 11 ultra which is originally CN version. I wanted to know which ROM is the most popular among the masses here...!
I use global, I have a global device and my provider (Vodafone UK) works best with this ROM, also I feel it is quite optimised

I agree. Global works fine for me also. The only thing that is bothering me on Global ROM (besides the regular dark mode bugs) is the fact that the Android security patch is still from the month of May as of now.
I prefer the EU ROM as it is updated as the Chinese is but it still keeps the mi dialler and SMS app. I couldn't get on with the Google versions. Also no call recorder on global. Well there are loads of differences, the EU has the best of all versions. Some people find it slower than stock but as I don't game with my phone, it's good for me. I had the 10 ultra too and used Chinese and then EU on that too.

I gave it a try. The issue for me in EU was the buggy animations. Compared to the official global (and CN), the opening and closing animations of apps on EU were inconsistent and jittery.
Have you tried global/CN on your Mi 11 ultra? If yes, how are the animations on EU as compared to the global/CN for you?
For the call recording on global, if you set the region of the phone to the US or some other regions (where call recording is legal I guess), the default google dialer has the call recording function. It is just info, I am not trying to compare google dialer to mi dialer.
The thing I don't understand is why people want so much this call recording function, why you need to record your calls? Lol

EU rom is a laggy disaster. I don't know why thought. Animation is laggy for suuure. Development don't want to even listen about it. I guess they using some old crap inside somewhere. (Old optimization that shouldn't be there)
CN rom is a if you know what to do with it. (I located in states and using tmobile)
I am almost curious to try the china rom on my global device, I think once put the language in English and debloated properly should be the best ROM. I don't know how people can be happy to use Xiaomi EU as it is laggy as ****, it is unacceptable to buy a device worth more than 1 grand and having performance of a poco phone lol, if you speak to the developers they do not address the problem, it doesn't even seem you are using a custom ROM lol, custom ROM used to be developed for performance and battery life and this is not the case

I have tried it as it was the original ROM with which my phone shipped. It was the best (in terms of updates and smoothness). Problem with it was I did not find any option to restore from google drive when initially setting up the device (understandable as the ROM does not contain Gapps by default) and also there was no option to restore from google drive after installing google play from getapps. Is there a way to restore from previous backup from google drive on CN?

I have used both. CN felt smoother than global and the last I checked, 12.5.10 CN included the June Android security patch. CN has mi dialer and mi messages which are nice apps. It also has a global searchbar on homescreen (akin to the Sesame app but nicer as it is natively supported). But there, you cannot set google or any other search engine which would provide results in English. All you have there are three search engines that are in Chinese. You cannot set the "ok google" command, cannot restore from google drive, and cannot have google feed on the left swipe in the default launcher. Also, the Chinese language is not eliminated entirely like the global, even if you set the phone language to English or the phone region to any other region using the more locale 2 app. For example, the theme store will always display results in Chinese, no matter what. Occasionally, you may get prompts in Chinese where it is not clear what the phone says obviously if you don't know Chinese. The dark mode bugs which are present on global are also present on CN.

In my experience, global is more usable for me. It has all goodies I prefer to have such as smooth performance and google services especially the backup and restore functionality. But it is not perfect. It has many bugs like other available ROMs (especially and ironically, the dark mode is buggy across all different ROMs) and the updates are slower too. I can forget about the addition of new features but lack of up-to-date security patches is not forgiveable for a flagship device.

After knowing that the latest weekly beta of Xiaomi.eu ROM included the August security patch and after the majority of folks here favoured this ROM, I decided to give Xiaomi.eu ROM another try. I installed the beta and ironically, there are no major bugs and even the animations are smoother than the stable Xiaomi.eu ROM I used before (12.5.2). So far liking it. The beta has some major feature updates besides the August security's patch such as the fully functional camera preview on the rear display (now the rear display can be used for portraits and videos etc.) I think it will not be justified if I use their ROM and do not give them their due credit here. So posting here to the older poll I started.

How is battery life? I've seen great battery life management on stable 12.5.11.0, how is on the weekly?
Hello, everyone. I'm hoping to join the redmi note 10 pro community very soon. However, I'm really confused whether I should invest in it because most of the reviews on Youtube are saying that there is always bugs. I was just wondering if any of you could tell me whether most of the bugs have been fixed by now. I just want to know if it is at least usable. It's got literally every feature I want. All I need to know is how is the software holding up. I've seen that even the Redmi note 10 is more stable than note 10 pro. I really hope that's not true.
Thanks in advance.
In my experience with it, which would be a few weeks now... I have not had any problems with it, as I am not what you would describe as a "power user".
All basic features which you would expect a mid-range smartphone to have, work perfectly.
This is all from my experiences, and my opinion. Hopefully someone else on here can also comment their thoughts.
I bought it one week ago: Only really bad thing is the AOD (better: NOT always on display). Furthermore, I didn't mention a single bug till now. So if you can deal without a AOD (there is a hack around, but it will suffer much from battery), buy it, really nothing wrong with it.

If you use your phone to connect to your car then please DO NOT BUY this phone. Android Auto does not work, irrespective of which region ROM you flash ,Seems to be an issue with the MIUI 12.5 and i am hoping this to be resolved with Android 12, but its JUST a hope.
Buy only if you're going to flash custom ROMs. Otherwise samsung can be a better alternative.

Android Auto is totally unheard of where I live xD. But yeah, I don't have a car so I can live with that. Honestly, though it's annoying that such a big company can't manage to fix the bugs on such a popular phone like this.

Not for me sadly, very buggy in WhatsApp with AOSP Extended,
I think this is the most popular mid-range phone going around. Its reviews are great. I had Redmi Note 10 which was a budget masterpiece, had an insane battery life. This one surely will be better overall as its the pro model. I think in its budget this one is worth it.

I've been using it here for around two weeks and battery lasts the same as on Android 12 in my case, and I couldn't find any big issues. Microphone seems to work fine here too, at least on calls.
I did the upgrade, seems all goes right, but, on device information, i read Realme UI 3.0 (!), Android Version 13, Build number RMX3311_11_C.06.
Clicking on "update control" i read Realme UI 4.0 | Android 13...
Is it maybe a transitional update, or what?
I've also updated to Android 13 and didn't had any issues. The things I didn't liked in Android 12 also persist in android 13, like bad automatic brightness in low light, the audio quality in videos recorded with the camera...

That's because the update was made before the realme UI 4.0 announcement. Future builds should have the correct name, but will be the same thing. (Right now you have realme UI 4.0 just with 3.0 naming).
