Exynos Note 9 screen off battery drain (not entering deep sleep) - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Hello!
I've owned a N960F for about 2 months now and recently I'm dealing with extremely high screen off battery drain. Looking at the stats offered by the battery tab in device care I am unable to pinpoint the cause.
Furthermore, accubattery shows very low deep sleep time. Last night it managed to achieve an incredible amount of deep sleep of 0 minutes and drain 12% in just 5h 20 minutes of screen off time.
Screen on time is not a problem, while using the phone the battery usage is normal and I am pleased by it's performance, but it is greatly affected by the screen of consumption.
Does anyone have an idea what might be causing the device to not enter deep sleep mode? Or how to find out what the problem could be that makes it use up so much juice?
Thanks in advance!
Screenshots (the accubattery is from yesterday, while the device care one I screenshot just now):

Difficult to tell, possibility is an app in the background preventing deep sleep.
When you use device care and then select battery, followed by settings you get a further screen of options, you may be aware of this.
I have used these settings, it might help.
An alternative approach is to uninstall an app to see if the phone then goes into deep sleep

I can't seem to pinpoint any app that could cause this problem and my settings were already as shown in your screenshots

i found a wierd bug recently. If you're google account has a sync error, like gmail, contacts, messages, ECT.. it will not enter deep sleep.
go to settings>accounts&backup>accounts> Google account>sync account>
Do you see anything with a circle formed by two arrows? those items can't snyc in the background for some reason. usually because the phone has put the app to sleep, optimized it, or restricted background data access. turns out my contacts arent syncing right now, glad i checked.
use this to try and help troubleshoot if you need help.

this might actually have been it, I found a weird Office account that was not syncing (I don't even remember adding it) and I removed it, I'll update if it has fixed the issue

for me, the problem was that my Contacts app was set to non-optimized ect ect... but the googlecontactsbackup app was set to optimized. I didn't even know that apps could have dependencies that show up as other apps. (i installed google contacts to replace samsung's people app).
i went from 1%-1.5% drain per hour, too .5% drain. significant change for me since im already heavily debloated.. thanks for making me look that deep lol. this is why people prefer iphones i suppose.

Are you debloat with adb and console?
Which apps disabled?
I think that Note 9 exynos have problem with consumming battery in sleep mode.
My N9 always "drain" 3-4 % in night after little debloat but A5 without debloat and with more apps consumming only 1-0% per night.

Screen Brightness kills battery more than you'd think

So the poor battery life on my Note 4 might have more to do with screen brightness than I would have expected. Unfortunately, most people posting their SOT's aren't doing it in a very scientific way, so it's hard to know what we should expect from these devices.
Here are my battery test results using PCMark for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.futuremark.pcmark.android.benchmark
In one test, I put the screen brightness to 100% and the results were pretty dismal. In the second test, I ran it at 50% brightness, which is brighter than the Note 2 at full and the results were much better.
I use Auto brightness during the day, which might explain my poor battery life, but I'd love to know what others score on PCMark are (it does run for 5+ hours!). I do keep my background BLACK, as well as using black themes on everything I can - for apps that only have white backgrounds, I use AutomateIt to invert the colors automatically. I would have thought these black backgrounds would do more, but it really comes down to brightness it seems.
I'm using an Exynos N910U model and left wifi connected while doing this test - 3 google accounts are synced on my device.

thanks for tests im using my exynos version on auto brightness and generally get 6 hours SOT. i saw on alot of people s stats and people who has problems generally has google play services on their battery usage list and it definetly shouldnt be at there... its probably about location reports to google every1 should disable it from location settings it doesnt break anything.

Yes, location can be an issue, but I think that impacts standby time more than SOT. Currently I've done the following to help with location-related issues:
- used lion tamer (soon to be called amplify) to slow down NLP wakelocks.
- set my location settings to powersave mode
- setup AutomateIt to turn on GPS when I'm in Google Maps (I'm usually plugged into the car outlet, so battery isn't a concern while navigating.
- Greenify stuff like Google search, Maps and several others.
I like and use Location Reporting, so disabling it outright isn't an option. My standby usage is very good at usually less than 1% an hour and my wakelocks keep my device awake usually less than 6%, but I'm still working to lower that number.

Before I started tweaking, I was getting around 6%-9% drain PER HOUR! Disabling stuff without root only got me so far, then the xposed tweaks and Titanium Backup had to be used.

like i said i dont know whats wrong for some people its probably something you installed(skype maybe) or mostly about location reporting. even last night i left my phone at 90% when i get it this morning after like 10 hours it was on 88% like i said earlier wifi was connected no power saving etc just normal idle time nothing special.

I was testing without any apps installed (just whatever I used to record battery consumption) and it was crazy high. Then I started adding accounts and apps, tweaking and I got my standby time to be much lower, but SOT leaves much to be desired. I'm going to try using the manual brightness and see if there are any differences - I often find auto brightness to be too bright or too dim! No "sweet spot" found! LOL
Greeny can also help but may need root
I'd suggest changing the settings for your Battery Monitor Widget app. AFAICS it polls every 10 minutes so a wakelock occurs every ten minutes to save the data. Use something like an hour and see what happens. Also would highly recommend BetterBatteryStats, a free version is available here for members.

I'll try that, although that might only improve wakelocks, not screen on time.
BBS never worked right for me. Always complaining that it couldn't retrieve the stats or falling back on something else.

Wait, with the screen off? Then you have something horribly wrong with your device. Mine did a few % over a night. With nothing done to the phone to conserve battery at all. Snapdragon, though. With the update.
I loose only 2% for 7h of standby last night.
We are seeing a trend I think, I noticed that it's mainly us 910U users or exnyos users complaining about battery life. So it must be something in the 910U rom?
I've got a 910F and I get 6 hours screen on time maximum :/

Doesn't happen now that I've rooted and applied my standard tweaks, but I tried a factory reset to see if I could correct the high standby drain and was not successful without these tweaks.

I have 910f and i got same issues with my batt.
i've tried clean system, root, custom rom. Battery is always draining higher than some people.
As i said in other thread: some people have an issue, some have great battery life. And nobody knows why
Maybe it's the guys who keep it stock and don't root, custom rom and "tweak" that get the good battery life.
Delete it pls.

Phone idle draining battery.

The "Phone idle" process in this phone is drainage a lot of battery, about 20% average. I understand for Android 6 Google have stricter requirements to list battery stats, but since this device don't have that yet I don't really know what's really causing it.
It's not a big deal yet because the battery life is very good on it's own, so I still have plenty of battery after the end of the day. For now I will try disabling all the gesture features and see if that's the culprit.
I've heard that if you have a lousy LTE signal where you spend most of your time, your phone constantly looks for a better signal and that process drains the battery. How's your signal strength? Maybe try airplane mode and see if that makes a difference.
battery drain in idle is at least 5-6%. noticed that i had battery up in full charge before going to bed and by the morning it was at 94%. no calls/messages/alarms/notifications during that time. however all background sync tasks were running
Not sure whats causing this . Only getting 4 hours sot. Main reason i got it for my work phone because of battery life. Any tips would be great. I have sync on for work email. And lte and almost anything automatic. Had a moto for work before and got 6 hours of sot

I noticed when I turned on Black Screen Gestures the phone drained a lot faster. I turned it off and disabled a bunch of apps and this is what I got so far.
I am getting very good battery life. Stock everything except for root. Black screen gesture on, google now disabled.

When I rooted my phone, I had to "factory reset" (formatted /data and /cache). I am using sim slot 2 only since I don't want to take the battery out to swap sim if needed. I am not using an SD card.
this is mine . do you see all the Awake . its by android system and idle
this is from the battery monitor app
That's strange.. Something is wrong with that graph for sure.. Have you tried using your phone in safe mode?

how do you disable google now anyways. i only have google now cards turn off i cant find setting to completely disable it.
is this even accurate
1000 mah? instead of 3150mah
I am rooted, I have Greenify, Xposed, and Amplify installed This combination seems to make sure the phone goes in to deep sleep now. Using CPU Spy I was able to see that my phone was not going in to deep sleep very much.

You can disable Google Now by dialing the Google search app. Or if you have a back up, you can delete the priv-app/velvet folder.
I am getting big time phone drain and I don't even have a SIM card in yet. Battery graph says the phone is awake the whole time. I had black screen gestures enabled but I'm gonna try to disable those.
My phone standby is about 10% drop per day. Dual SIM standby, one AT&T , one TMO.
It drained mine as well. What I was able to do in order to offset it was twofold Xposed and 'prevent running' app. Then simply a matter of disabling everything you can think of that will not interfere with booting. I can list what worked for me as far as apps and system apps if you'd like. I have total 57 and testing tomorrow more. Just over half are system apps like play store play services google+, etc...
Doing that saved almost enough to offset near 25-30% average. Idle as yours. Next I simply adjusted my habits with keeping GPS off, WiFi on though even sleeping.
THE biggest issue is Adups spyware comes pre installed on it. It collects every letter typed, site seen, text sent..All of it. Using terminal emulator and pm disable works until reboot. Freezing it seems to trigger more hidden like com.fw.upgrade.fota.sysoper to collect. I tell you as well many claim to remove it I have tried 12 ways. It is a battle and 1 I contacted BLU over this to no avail. Second BLU phone and last. Huawei, Samsung and ZTE also have this installed for this phone they are (at least the known ones)
com.adups.fota
com.adups.fota.sysoper
com.fw.upgade.fota.sysoper
There are more but offhand I forget them. *.quicksearch something and what is not stock browser but similarly named.
*.sysoper anything is assuredly as are anything with adups in the name. Use Mixplorer and sqlitedb viewer and go to /data/data find the folders and look at the db's it is everything. Sent to a server in Shanghai every 72 hours or less

Poor Battery Life - HELP!

So, over the last week, I have noticed such poor battery life. My battery is not performing as it once did.
I recently downloaded Power Shade, so I decided to disable it (not uninstall it). It's not listed in the Play Store at this time.
I have noticed that Android System uses a lot of my battery, while my battery life drops like a rock while I have my screen on. I never have my screen brightness passed 25% (and it is usually less).
Please take a look at these screenshots. What is going wrong?

Well, I turned on Power Shade and left my phone untouched for one hour. My battery dropped 5%.
Then, I turned it off and left my phone alone for another hour and it went down only 2%.
So, that's the culprit?
I'm not sure if your battery drain is regarding normal usage or standby time.
If it's a standby drain, I would suggest installing Naptime app from the playstore. Grant the permissions via ADB, your standby battery life would be great.
I've experienced a really good battery mileage after installing the app.
Make sure you enable to aggressive doze option and keep the app out of power save or the sleeping apps option.
Also, try turning off Location and see if Android System percentage goes down.

The naptime app is a piece of cake if you have root access, if your phone is not rooted, the app will suggest some steps you can follow to allow it function properly. For the non-root method, you will require a computer and ADB (Android Debug Bridge) to be installed in the computer.
If you kept location service to battery saving then maybe it might help save battery juice.

I think I will stick with the Location setting change.
I'm also finding TuneUp Master Pro to be helping.
What do you think of BetterBatteryStats?
Later today, I can post screenshots.
Right now, I am at 63% battery left with 2 hours of screen time. (Note, much of this has been with super low battery brightness.)

Hey,
I think TuneUp Master Pro might help you, I haven't actually used BetterBatteryStats.
But I saw your screenshot, one thing I noticed is that you keep bluetooth switched on (Android Wear)?, If so then I think maybe that is your issue (I'm saying this cause I have a Gear 2 connected to my Note8, when the device is connected it takes some amount of battery). Try to use your device without bluetooth for maybe 1 day and see if there is any improvement in Battery Life and Screen On Time.
I would suggest other basic options like:
1. Turning off Location when you don't need it
2. Turning off Bluetooth
3. Turning off Mobile Data (or keeping the network mode to 3G/2G)
4. Delete useless apps, if you have apps like BetterBatterStats, I think they can monitor app data and battery usage.
5. Goto Settings>Device Maintenance>Battery, scroll down till the end and select "always sleeping apps", select apps that you want only to wake up when you open the apps. Go back and remove useless or unwanted apps under the unmonitored apps section (This option is right before the always sleeping apps one).
Also try doing a cache clear from Android Recovery (Be Careful when selecting the options):
1. Turn off your phone
2. Hold the Volume Up, Bixby and Power Button simultaneously until you see the boot screen, as soon as you see that screen release your fingers from the buttons
3. Once the recovery options come, use your volume buttons to move up and down, and the power button to select an option.
4. press volume down and select the clear cache option, press the power button, use the volume down button again to select "Yes" and press the power button.
5. It will clear Cache
6. Restart your, its the first option in the menu.
This might helps the phone clear cache files and maybe fix your battery issue.
It would also be good if you install this app, after installing goto the "Personal" tab and check if your battery health is good, mine is 91%. You should also be in that range or maybe 80%. If the percentage is bad then maybe I think you would require a battery replacement. Correct me if I am wrong guys, but just a suggestion.
One more thing, is your phone rooted or having a custom rom?, if yes I suggest to try Naptime and other rooted battery saving apps like Greenify.
If not then I think you and me will have to hope that Android 9.0 Pie would have some improvement, sadly I have been a Samsung user for 4 to 5 years, this isn't usually the case with Samsung OS updates .
Based on this, I don't think I have anything rogue going on, do you?
(Notice that I didn't use my phone at all during this time, nor did I leave home.)
OK, I have attached stats for my phone from today.
Please take a look.
When not using my phone, my battery only dropped about 2% per hour, which is great. But when my screen was on, I seemed to have lost a lot of power. I can't even get 4 hours of screen on time.
What would cause tis to happen? I barely have my screen brightness at 20%.
Does this tell you more? It shows battery usage with cell phone signal.
(I was off Wi-Fi for about the last 6 hours of the day.)
Does this show a slower battery drop with a better signal?

Chrome and facebook drain lot compared to others. Are you putting them (and others) to sleep using device management? Also, 2.7% drain per hour isn't fantastic. You can drop that to approx 1% if you tame enough things on your phone.

2% per hour for rooted phone is very bad. In 10 hours you loose 20% battery, looks very bad too. If you open the 4g you loose 40%. I loose 2% every 10 hours and i have 95% kernel deep sleep. Your System have big drain in first picture. Debloat your rom and fix your bad wakelocks with amplify and with appops. Possible change your rom and your kernel if you are not rooted. If you are not rooted god bless you, or read the xda threads to learnd about the phones. All your apps have very bad wakeup issues. This apps run all the time and dont leave the phone to sleep. You use malware bytes into android.... the linux is not windows 10. You dont need this crap apps.

I leave mine connected to WiFi, it uses way less battery than LTE/4G
Also disabled BT and WiFi location scanning in Location Access > Advanced Settings
Disable any apps you don't use that may be running in the background
And weirdly, my battery life improved best when I set the phone battery settings to "Performance mode" which goes against everything it's meant to do, but that's what happened, worth a try with yours for 24/48 hours to test

I leave mine connected to WiFi, it uses way less battery than LTE/4G
Also disabled BT and WiFi location scanning in Location Access > Advanced Settings
Disable any apps you don't use that may be running in the background

Going to give this a try and report back love everything bout this phone but the standby drain is driving me nuts...
!!!!!
I had S10 plus and I went to sleep it was 99% when I woke up it was around 64% sold it 2 day ago and got the P30 pro , today is my 4th day with it and when I wake up it’s always above 90% leaving bluetooth WiFi all running normal so don’t know what’s happening with you....
Went to bed at 100%, woke up and it was at 99% this morning (11 hours on battery)

Try to find the cause in Settings - Battery - Usage and detail of batteryusage. This can sometimes indentify an app causing this.
Sometimes problems are solved by wiping the chache partition. Youtube movie how to wipe cache

Do you have aod (always in disolay) on during the night?
That will drain a few percent also. I personaloy turn off aod between 11pm and 7am.
I was getting quite a bit of drain when I had AOD enabled, so I disabled it and chose to use Double tap to wake instead, however I also debloated through ADB around the same time so could have been a rogue package that I removed..

Double tap to wake will use power keeping the screen's digitizer panel active waiting for your taps
I always disable everything to do with keeping any part of the phone awake during sleep, AOD, gestures, taps etc, and with DND enabled until 9am that will kill any notifications waking it up too
Looking at the battery usage overnight, the phone logs only 3-4 very short wake events, one I know is it checking for firmware updates and could be disabled, others will likely be whatsapp/outlook

Although this is true, it's extremely minimal in my opinion, I go to sleep with my phone on 100% & consistently wake up on 99-98% also I don't have DND on at night so the odd text message or email may come through and wake up the screen

Good to know, yea I managed to get mine down to 1% drain overnight too, as good as their battery management is for that side of things, it has ruined WhatsApp, no matter what I set to exclude it from power saving options I still only get messages when I wake the phone up myself, sometimes only when I actually open WhatsApp, it's gotten so bad now my gf texts me to tell me she's sent me something on WhatsApp, she can even text me while I am using the phone to tell me that and I still never received anything until I open whatsapp
Seems this problem goes back many years with many previous Huawei devices unfortunately which means there is likely never going to be a fix

I removed a lot of Huawei's preinstalled apps to as I don't really use them, I also had the exact same issue with WhatsApp & Twitter, the way I "solved it" strangely enough was disabling them from settings > battery > app launch & restarting my device, then re-enabling them & restarting again, it's been fine ever since could have just been a fluke but it worked so..

Yea I've changed that App Launch setting many times without any luck, I found a post from way back in 2012 I think it was saying there were 3 different settings that needed changing to fix the exact same problem that still happens today, needless to say this will be my last Huawei phone, not difficult to whitelist something as widely used as WhatsApp, I mean normal messages works fine and that's a Google app not a Huawei app so no reason another 3rd party app couldn't do the same if they wanted it to

Question [Battery Drain ISSUE] S21 Ultra 512Gb/16Gb Exynos, Pics with 3 Different Scenarios in Post , BATTERYEXPERTS HELP!

Hey guys,
So i got my Ultra chunk on Jan 22nd (Italy shipments were early) and been testing it non stop on different scenarios on aprox. 10 charge cycles by now and i want to share some of them to find out which apps are draining it in standby idle and WHY CANT I GET MORE THAT 5.30hrs of SOT...i watch every Exynos battery life test on Youtube and I wonder why i cant get those kind of numbers on my phone... is it because of 512gb/16gb? is it because of apps/settings?
1st scenario NORMAL (before update)(with lots of apps on sleep) :
https://imgur.com/a/WDmsNZK
2nd scenario HEAVY (after the update) :
https://imgur.com/a/S5Etest
3rd scenario IDLE FOR 2.30hrs (after update):
https://imgur.com/a/p34u7WE
4th scenario without SS: There was a scenario where i only used camera for a day with lots of UHD and single take (which is heavy on cpu and takes lot of power and heats up the phone in cold weather) and it was around 20% with around 2hours of SOT and lots of camera time...
PS: also i want to add that i added every app and pic/video from my NOTE 8(which i got 4.30hr of SOT!!) and the app count with aprox~590apps (including system apps) and its only ~200gb after i copied bunch of movies to it. I cleared cached 2times by now, tried putting apps to sleep (around 260 of them) and then tried the same apps on deep sleep and today i deleted all of those to let system do that for me.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
adamlee2012 said:
Mine lost 2% in 57min of not been used. Definitely not normal. Hopefully Samsung are aware and send an update asap.

Which storage option and which variant? Exynos or SD?
what's your average SOT time when you're using it ?
Same issue
I doubt it's the 16gb/512gb configuration, and to be honest the first screenshot seems pretty reasonable, as youtuber tests are in perfect conditions and not switching apps or on mobile data.
So few questions:
WQHD/120Hz?
WiFi/5G/4G? If one of the later, what was your signal like?
Are literally all of your apps sleeping? If so that can actually be a drain if you're fully reopening apps that you use regularly. I would deep sleep anything you don't use often and let the system determine the rest
Emoji ap and chrome look like they're using quite a bit of battery considering very little use, have seen problems with chrome eating battery so might be worth finding a replacement.
Also seen smarthings has been said to be causing a lot of issues, but don't know if that's visible drain that gets reported or something that just causes it in the background.
Compared to my S10+, my s21u exynos seems to be closing apps way less aggressively i.e. YouTube Vanced is eating battery in the background unless I fully close it even if not watching a video. Hoping this improves with usage.
When starting from scratch (100%) with no apps open, my drain is like 0.6% per hour on WiFi with tap to make AOD, but seems to struggle to idle that well after use unless manually closing apps

No reception here and i didn't put it on airplane mode but now im starting to do so i got 5.47hr of SOT this cycle
Wifi is 2.4ghz with good reception (not great), i had apps that i didn't use on sleeping (removed them) , then did kinda same selection on DEEP SLEEP (again removed them too) and wanted to system to configure it but now system is not putting anything to sleep so its 0 in all three sections.
i used emoji AR for the first time in that cycle so that's why its there and never appeared after that. Chrome beta makes phone heat up slightly but i like it and can't switch to other browsers because of numerous reasons...
and about smartthings, should i unistall it completly or should i disable something for it?
also i removed facedata and also found that FINGERPRINT SCANNER was on ALWAYS ON so i switched it off too.
deep sleep messed up the apps , should i put the apps on sleep again?
also my animation scales are all set at 0.5x in developer settings could that drain it too?
also i jumped straight from note 8 so i dont know about the tips and tricks that S20 users did, is there a specific set of settings that i should turn off/on?
EDIT: Wanted to add if you have goodlock on your phones too? i have everyworking goodlock mod on my phone from galaxy store ( they're available in store just like US), could one of them cause the drainings?
appreciate the replies !

Sounds like your apps are the problem. Go in the settings and restrict background data and background operation of them.
Google Play Services, Google Backup Transport and Framework are prime suspects.
Clear the data for all three.
Try blocking them with Karma Firewall*.

If you have a WiFi connection and have turned on WiFi calling, you shouldn't need to go into aeroplane mode.
This YouTube video explains the different sleep bins so worth a watch (
), but I would also let it settle for a few days if you're moving everything around every 5 minutes.
If it's saved passwords you are stuck in chrome for, I recommend a manager like bitwarden (works across all devices and browsers).
Good lock and animations shouldn't impact battery too much.
Did you use smart switch? Would always recommend a clean install, at least of settings.
Try charging your phone to full before bed, then seeing how much it drains overnight when asleep and if anything pops up on the battery usage that shouldn't
My battery on my S21 Ultra, 512GB, Exynos model has been outstanding.
When WiFi is on, I turn mobile data off
GPS is off
FHD+ display with 120hz
Adaptive brightness
Mail sync off
I don't play games on my phone, so no games installed.
I'm at 30% battery with nearly 7hrs SOT.

Wow, so it's not about the 512gb... great battery!
1.Did you use smartswitch when you started it?
2.how many apps you have approximately? Did you set up secure folder/dual apps
3.did you install any goodlock mods on it?
4.why fhd+? The qhd and fhd has the same batterylife according to phonearena test.
5.is your fingerprint reader set to always on? Do you have AOD on as well?
Appreciate the replies! Enjoy it

I tried deepsleep before too, it messes up the apps completely unlike the normal sleeping method, so im back to using that. Put 265apps to sleep yesterday. Idle battery drain is almost fixed after turning off aod/fingerprint always on sensor and also deleting smartthings, i dont know which one did that
I used smartswitch at fisrt, but only for moving media and contacts/messages, i didnt move the settings.
Secure folder and dualapps make different googleplay services when you create them which is like having two phones at the same time... I wonder if those are the issues

I do have goodlock. Only the custom clock mod.
I have approximately around 80 apps installed (including the stock Samsung ones)
FHD+ because if the display is barely distinguishable at QHD as opposed to FHD+, you may as well save as much battery as you can while still having the same experience.
I used SmartSwitch when I initially came from the Oppo Find X2 Pro and that went smoothly.
Fingerprint scanner is constantly active.

HEY GUYS, i included everyone to get the last feedback from you all:
So i think it's getting better this is from 90% to 2% yesterday to today, with 6.15hrs of SOT and ~19hrs of Batterylife, BTW i ran 3dmark (slingshot) and androbench and tried new games too so it was fairly more than normal usage ;
I disabled AOD and fingerprint always on, deleted Smartthings and cleared Play Services cache also i did put 265apps to regular sleep.
Things that i didn't change were: The wifi was alwasy on, bluetooth was on for the majority of the time too, sync on, WQHD+ 120hz, NFC on, and since there is no reception here i put the phone on Airplane mode i still have my goodlock mods and secure folder stuff there too.
And about the SMART SWITCH, I just want to show you guys that i only moved my media and contacts/messages to the new phone and not the settings.

So I always used tap for AOD (with option for fingerprint sensor to show when AOD turns on) as well as a routine for AOD always on when charging, best of both worlds and its an unnecessary drain in my eyes anyway.
I was worried at the battery life I was getting (had the phone from the 28th) but does seem to be gradually improving. I also removed GSAM and Accubattery so I wasn't constantly checking (and they run quite heavy in the background, like 500mb between them).
The other thing to remember is when people are showing battery of over a day, there's like 7-8 hours where it just idles loses 3/4/5%, so the battery life isn't really much better, so 24 hours of usage with 6 hours SOT really isn't that different to 18 hours with 6 hours SOT
Hopefully the improvements keep coming, honestly I'd delete the battery tracking apps and just use the in built one seeing as there isn't a clear drain from anything, you'll stop worrying and checking it all the time, thus saving more battery lol

I'm running on Pie with the factory load for Device Care. That may work well for you but not on the software I have.
I do best with all power management disabled.
Android Services battery use went nuts with power management enabled... and it got worse not better as the days progressed.
With AOD always on it uses less than 1% @ hour for my 10+ so I leave it on.

i had that AOD option since the beginning and some on the other forums wrote that they had improvements after disabling AOD so i disabled that and fingerprint (which is almost useless since i dont need it to scan constatly when im not gonna unlock with my fingerprint anyways i use my mi band as my smartlock)
also i had to use GSAM since i didn't full charge it to prevent degradation and only charged it to 90% hence why the stats are only for 88% of usage. ill delete it after i get another full usage statics. wish the system battery tracker monitored the battery since UNPLUGGED and not since FULLCHARGE.
my phone is getting better imo, and less 1~2hr less than other guys is kinda acceptable since i know NOBODY has that many apps as me lol and also nobody uses both securefolder and dualapps as much as me too.
i really push my phones to extreme and if this one could get me around 7hr of SOT with my usage ill be happy,
but i still think that a software update is indeed needed for Exynos models
The Exynos model really needs a Firmware Update....

Try Gallaxy Labs Battery Tracker, that's all I use most times.
I never use the fingerprint scanner.
AOD was never an issue but Goggle Backup Transport, Framework and Google Play Services are.
Those can cause excessive usage when on AOD on my setup. AOD battery usage should be around .6-1% @ hr max.

galaxy labs modules doesn't work on android 11,
also there is no Goggle Backup Transport, Framework in apps, maybe you're on older android/device so the methods are different for different devices and OS versions
