Hi Folks...
Got me an Samsumg Galaxy S3 GT-I9305.
I tried to install RR, so first step obviously was getting TWRP 3.2.1-0-i9305.img.tar.
Downloaded over at https://dl.twrp.me/i9305 the said version.
Installed with Odin V3 and everything came up clear but when i tried to boot into recovery i got stuck in Bootlogo
Playing around for a while i decided to install TWRP 3.0.2-1 which worked fine on first try.
Tried to flash the 3.2.1-0-i9305.img via TWRP gave me the error message "File is too big".
Can anyone confirm?
That version is too big for the recovery partition on our device.. Need someone to compress it to make it smaller to fit the partition size of the device.
I have the same problem with the last version TWRP 3.2.1.0.
When I push this one with Odin 3.12, all is sucess but when i reboot the device in custom recovery, it can't, it is stuck
S3 GT-I9305 Specific?

TWRP 3.2.1-0 works great on my S3 i9300, flashed from the external SD card so could you please edit your thread title and add: S3 GT-I9305?
Thanks!

Confirmed also. Unable to use 3.2.1-0 for install/upgrade.
3.0.2-1 works fine, https://dl.twrp.me/i9305/twrp-3.0.2-1-i9305.img.html
Working 3.2.1-0 credit goes to @Option58 the one who compress it. Thank him. Enjoy guys.

Official TWRP 3.2.1-0 for i9305 Problem Reported to TeamWin TWRP
@Lexington67 @public3n3my @GouLt @mouth
I reported the problem to the TeamWin TWRP so other S3 i9305 users don't waste their time with this version:
Hello, several XDA i9305 users report here
that version TWRP 3.2.1-0 returns error: "File is too big".

Awesome support from a non-profit open source community project IMO.

I'm working on my own TWRP device tree, based on official LineageOS repos, with the intention of getting official support for version 3.2.1-0. I'll create my own thread when my build is ready. According to TWRP's official page for the i9305, there is no current official maintainer.
Edit: I compiled a 3.2.1-0 build and created a separate thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development-i9305/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3741413
This is my build of Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) 3.2.1-0 for Redmi Note 3 Snapdragon (kenzo/kate)
Kernel source is originally from @abhishek987
This is not official build from twrp.me, use at your own risk
I added subpartition links for backup whole firmware in the phone
Download:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/rn3-los15/files/TWRP/
Since TWRP is open-source, my source (manifest, device and kernel) is here:

If official two.me one works on 2gb
This should work too.
I just forked the official tree and fixed something for building on omni Oreo tree (currently official twrp.me is build on nougat tree, not updated)
And changed the recovery kernel to @abhishek987 one
I had extractorfork() issue on the official build when restoring a backup. Does your recovery fixed that?
What are the benefits of this recovery? Less bugs? Which? Extras?
Hi, I will update a new build of a this recovery soon.
For some fixing and build on latest omni 8.1 tree.

Official twrp gives me extractor fork error 7 when restoring a backup. Does this have the same problem?

Thanks. I usually like redwolf for it's extra options. But lately it's anti piracy thingy is getting a bit too annoying.

Hi. Right now I am on Miuipro 9 beta version and I want to flash Xiaomi.eu MIUI 10 ROM. I have found some zip files from their official site but I'm not quite sure which one to flash. Can anyone help me with that?
Find it here https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-eu-multilang-miui-roms/files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-WEEKLY-RELEASES/
They update download links as new update is available for both stable and weekly.
You'll find all supported devices.
Choose HM4X for Redmi 4X santoni.

Flash via twrp
HI
did anybody succeed in installing AospExtended from https://downloads.aospextended.com/I006D to the ASUS Zenfone 8?
I tried to install AospExtended w/o GAPPS to the Zenfone 8 using this zip file
Download center | AospExtended
Download center | AospExtended
downloads.aospextended.com
but without success. The installation via TWRP is succesfull but after the reboot I get the famous "Waiting for flashing full ramdump" error message . Booting from the other Slot ends with the error message "The installation is corrupt and will not boot". To get around this I had to reinstall the original OS from a raw image.
I do have a lot of experience with installing OS image via TWRP but this was on the ZUK Z2 Pro (which does not have this A/B partition scheme).
So: How can I install the AospExtended image onto the ASUS Zenfone 8? Are there installation instructions anywhere ( I did not find working installation instructions until now)?
regards
Bernd

Been on the aospextented now for soon a day and its impressive stable and battery life seem very good to.

Hi
thanks a lot!
I successfully installed AospExtended and Magisk using the LineageOS Recovery
Very cool.
But now I have some additional questions:
Do you know why AospExtended could not be installed using TWRP?
Do you know why booting the Lineage recovery via fastboot using
fastboot boot lineage-18.1-20220304-recovery-sake.img
does not work? (It does work for TWRP)
TWRP is more user friendly then the Lineage Recovery so I would like to use it to maintaine the OS
Can I use TWRP to install updates in the future? Or must I use the LineageOS Recovery for that also?
Can I use TWRP to install additional zip files like microg? Or must I use the LineageOS Recovery for that also?
Again, thanks for the hint -- I was working now for more then tow days to get AospExtened installed on the ASUS Zenfone 8 without success
regards
Bernd

Hi again
I now installed and configured AospExteneded with Magisk und MicroG all is working like expected.
The only issue I found is that NFC does not work : I can not enable NFC - it will always be disabled by the OS a few seconds after I enabled it.
NFC does work with the original ROM so it's not a hardware error
Does NFC work on your Zenfone ?
