Has anyone tried to connect usb data dongles on their Samsung tab 8.9? Im interested in finding out whether my Huawei E1550 will be able to connect to net while on the move. My tab will arrive this week.
I didn't test it. I have a ZTE Stick. I see that there is something for the asus prime, but they only support Huawei sticks maybe your huawei will supported.

How did you get it to work? Im tried with overcome rom but cudnt get it to work.. Your help is much appreciated..
Hi,
I've never used OTG on the tablet but I've read it can read FAT32 dongles. For NTFS support you should run some scripts may be.
I would also like the tablet to read from an external 2.5 (no power supply) NTFS hard drive but as far as I'm concerned I think it cannot be done yet.
Hope it brins some light.
Great forum BTW
cheers,
impop

I have tested flash disk drives on honeycomb based oversome and its working perfectly. What im interested is to find out how i can get my huawei e1550 3G dongle to work. It gets detected but i cant seem to find the settings to enable the apn. Any ideas?
as I have a 8.9 aswell, and looking for a working 3g dongle... the only thing I found out that there are modules for a500 I belive, just gotta look into those and see what changes need to be made. in theory it shoud work, but I have no idea if it does.
seems like the most compatible dongle is huawei e1550...

Look for Android compatibility - if it is compatible with any Android phone, it should be compatible with the P7 too.

there's no issues with buttons you may use any headphone with 3.5mm jack to use with any android phone.
Thats not quite correct.
I own earphones from Sennheisser and the buttons don't work.
Now I bought some from Xiaomi and they work perfectly, even the sound is great.
Has anyone noticed EASY PROJECTION is missing in our device? I read here this is supported even on Mate 10; an older device than Play with the same chipset.
I like this feature to be available, aside from Wireless Projection.
Thanks for your input!
If your device can connect wireless it can as well do the wired.

I thought RM3 never supported HDMI over usb-c. Are you saying it does in another rom/version?
