Hello everyone,
I'd like to ask you if it's a good idea to upgrade from Google Pixel 2 XL to Note 9
I wanted to go with OnePro 7 Plus, but it hasn't notification led
How is Note 9 ? Are there any AOSP custom ROM's for this phone ?
Does it have notification led ? What about the battery ?
I don't really care about the camera
Thank you very much, in advance

You can upgrade but why not wait another month and get the Note 10?
I personally don't use Samsung phones any longer but I got my wife the Note 9 and she likes it. However she only does the basics with a phone
Note 10 will be too expensive

Hi Friends,
I'm a fairly experienced Samsung user, S4, Note 2, Note 3, and now finally waiting for my Note 4 to come in the mail. I took a break away from Sammy with LG G3 and G4. Can you guys help me get oriented with Note 4, with my quick questions? I've been reading the forum, but, as you guys would imagine, there's still room for clarity, thus my thread:
1. What is the BEST ROM you could recommend for the most stable experience, with performance and battery life? Some say Rapture hands down, others recommend Poprocks, but then I look at something like TEKXodus and the replies and views that ROM has and I am like WOW! Let's not forget the S6 ports!
2. Is there a way to do simple Mods on the Note 4 like changing Status Bar icon colors, and maybe changing the Toggles colors? If so, what is that app? I'm thinking of something like Gravity Box, Wanam Kit, LG Tweaksbox, but for the Note 4? Personally, I love foreverloco's simple AOSP style themes, but I doubt they'd work on the latest ROM versions?
3. What is the truth about Note 4 screen on time? On QHD screens on the G3 and G4, I couldn't get more than just under 4 hours for the LG G3 and not even 2.5 hours for the LG G4!! Biggest reason why I'm moving off of the phone! I never game, am on WiFi most of the day, don't have Bluetooth or NFC running. Just WiFi all day, all workday conference calls, and some days 2 to 3 hours of data on, not WiFi.
4. I don't know the model I'll get, but if I get the 910T3, am I screwed? Or screwed without it?
5. Any outstanding issues with Xposed on 5.1.1 ROMs?
Thank you in advance for your help and responses!
Hi, have been wanting to get the Mi 8 for a while as I prefer it over the Oneplus 6, but I was wondering when would a custom ROM actually come out for this phone? Or any idea on some sort of time span? As I'm not keen on using the MIUI and would rather have like the Pixel Experience or something stock instead with the spec and the camera of the Mi 8.
I think active development is starting after Android P is released.
Android P does have notch compatibly so the os will function normally.
Anyway, give it some time this device is a few weeks old mostly development starts after some months.
BTW I moved from a Oneplus 6 to a Xiaomi Mi 8!

Whats your opinion of them both?
The haptic feedback on the Mi 8 is massively better, and I like the camera on the Mi 8 more and the size.
I had a few ago a note 4 got much fun of it, and I went away from Xiaomi because the lcd quality was horrible.
So since the Mi 8 has a amoled Samsung panel it was a insta buy for me.

well i think mi8 is a nice phone
but wont give up my op6 for it
Waiting till kernel sources will be out for dipper ... thats the only thing that is left to start building
The handset does not appear to have been launched in its Global variant yet. I think this is part of the slow development.
Hello there!
I'm looking for a good Android 7 Rom for my Girlfriends Mi 5!
We often play Pokemon Go, and somehow on Android 8 or 9, our Go-tcha (Pokemon Wristband that automatically catches Pokemon ^^') won't stay connected. So we're stuck on Android 7, thats why im looking for a decent Android 7 Rom. She currently has an Android 7 rom installed where the charging screen (when it is turned off) is bugged and would display ??/100% instead of percentage. Don't know the Name at the moment.
Any suggestions what Rom i should flash?
Thanks in Advance,
Tho-kun

There will be any one UI rom for redmi note 10 pro/max ?
For what?
It can be port but I don't think developers interested in this and it's need a lot of work
Just buy Samsung phone if you like one UI.

I mean there is no chance for the one ui port (at least a stable one), so it's easier to choose something from the Samsung offer - for example A52/A72.
U can never know .. this community has a lot of brilliant devs .. and RN10P is already getting most of the best custom roms .. if we manage to get OOS or OneUI that would be a magnificent

One UI is very light and feature rich UI plus there can be chances that we can get Samsung's dialer with auto call recording

At the risk of repeating myself, try CherishOS by @jpg3927 , you might be pleasantly surprised; like I was. All the features you need exist in it. And it's cutting edge! With May Android security patch.
Hello, everyone. I'm hoping to join the redmi note 10 pro community very soon. However, I'm really confused whether I should invest in it because most of the reviews on Youtube are saying that there is always bugs. I was just wondering if any of you could tell me whether most of the bugs have been fixed by now. I just want to know if it is at least usable. It's got literally every feature I want. All I need to know is how is the software holding up. I've seen that even the Redmi note 10 is more stable than note 10 pro. I really hope that's not true.
Thanks in advance.
In my experience with it, which would be a few weeks now... I have not had any problems with it, as I am not what you would describe as a "power user".
All basic features which you would expect a mid-range smartphone to have, work perfectly.
This is all from my experiences, and my opinion. Hopefully someone else on here can also comment their thoughts.
I bought it one week ago: Only really bad thing is the AOD (better: NOT always on display). Furthermore, I didn't mention a single bug till now. So if you can deal without a AOD (there is a hack around, but it will suffer much from battery), buy it, really nothing wrong with it.

If you use your phone to connect to your car then please DO NOT BUY this phone. Android Auto does not work, irrespective of which region ROM you flash ,Seems to be an issue with the MIUI 12.5 and i am hoping this to be resolved with Android 12, but its JUST a hope.
Buy only if you're going to flash custom ROMs. Otherwise samsung can be a better alternative.
Thank you guys for replying so soon!

Android Auto is totally unheard of where I live xD. But yeah, I don't have a car so I can live with that. Honestly, though it's annoying that such a big company can't manage to fix the bugs on such a popular phone like this.
Regardless, I think I'll actually buy this phone cos it's got literally every feature you could ask for, including Dolby sound. I'm coming from a bloody Huawei P smart 2018 so literally any phone I buy will be great right now

I do have experience flashing custom ROMs but it was really bad. Every ROM I flashed had some kind of weird issue like WiFi wasn't working or GPS had issues and even the sound quality became worse.
Did you face any issues like these with your ROMs?

No such issues. We just need to find the right ROM.
No issues at all using CrDroid for "normal" use.

I'm glad to hear that! I have watched many reviews, especially the ones after 60 days or 120 days and literally everyone said they faced this bug or that bug. The bugs itself are not always same but there is always bugs.
Anyway, I might actually end up buying it!
what about the proximity sensor issue ? Is it fixed when using custom roms ?
This phone rocks
Plenty of nice ROM depends of what you want.
Android Auto is working like a charm for me, battery is perfect and 0 bug, using Arrow OS. I'm really glad that i switched for this phone few months ago.

Not for me sadly, very buggy in WhatsApp with AOSP Extended,
I think this is the most popular mid-range phone going around. Its reviews are great. I had Redmi Note 10 which was a budget masterpiece, had an insane battery life. This one surely will be better overall as its the pro model. I think in its budget this one is worth it.
