Global MIUI Theme Design Competition: Christmas and New Year Themes

Work requirements:
1. Design a Christmas or New Year theme (either one), and make it into a complete mtz theme package;
3. The contents of the competition include a lockscreen interface, a piece of desktop wallpaper and 20 specified icons (icons including: call, SMS, contacts, browser, calendar, Gmail, file explorer, application market, backup, settings, music, gallery, camera, weather, calculator, maps, notes, time, recorder and theme manger);
3. Other interfaces (such as SMS, dial-up, contacts, notification bar and so on) are preferred but not required;
4. Works submitted must be the original works of the author, having not been used commercially or in other similar contests or activities. The works contents must be in conformity with provisions of law and regulations.
HowTo
1. Post your theme thread in Resources section of MIUI forum (http://www.miui.com/forum-7-1.html) with the title of 【Theme Competition】**********and upload the mtz pack of your theme. Or just send your theme mtz to [email protected]
2. You can edit your theme thread before the deadline. The latest update of your mtz file will be regarded as your final version for the competition.
3. The same user name can upload different competing works. The results will be selected by user name. If the competing works is designed by more than one designer, it would be required to get the permission of all designers and indicate the names of all designers.
4. The awarding results of the Competition will be dependent on two parts:
a. votes by MIUI forum users (70%)
b. MIUI official grading (30%);
5. Once submitted the works, contestants will be deemed to have agreed MIUI users to download and use the theme; If awarded, the winners need to authorize the copyright to MIUI.

[WALLPAPER] Baltimore Orioles / Ravens Wallpaper

UPDATE: See the 3rd and 4th posts of the thread. I've gotten a lot better at this since I started.
I made this for myself. But I thought there might be another Oriole fan in the Android universe who might enjoy it.
Originally I did the black carbon fiber but then decided to make it more orange.
It's formatted for a 960 pixel height screen so it'll look best at that resolution. But I also have it on a a smaller phone I have and a friend has it on his giant Galaxy SIII screen and it looks good on both devices. I also have it on my computer desktop and while it's a little stretched at that size....it doesn't look terrible. So it scales pretty well.
Full disclosure, all of the elements are taken from the internet via your run of the mill Google search. (The carbon fiber background and the bird logo). I just mixed them together and did a little cleaning up and colorizing and adding just a tiny bit of depth to the bird logo.

Some more Orioles....
All are in the attatched ZIP file with larger file sizes for slightly better resolution than the thumbnail images.
Most of these were created randomly while I was looking for that 'perfect' look for my phone. I figure someone might enjoy the different variations.
The last thumbnail is just a look at what my phone looks like with one of these wallpapers and my Orioles theme made with Zooper Widgets Pro looks like.

Same story as the Orioles ones, I was looking for the perfect look for my phone and ended up with many different variations.
The thumbnails are a little lower resolution. The zip package contains the full versions of them all.

Just started to entertain myself recently creating some live wallpapers and widgets. And since I'm fond of photography and beautiful people, here's one of them: Bikini Girls Slide Show LWP. It's also an online weekly magazine with the careful selection of the pictures of the beautiful woman. Despite it's flirty name it fully meets Google requirement regarding explicit nudity.

- Are there any opinions if such an app should break the rules and transform into a nude, but not explicit (no porn - just enough of it everywhere already I think) and beautiful app offline the Google Play?
- Would the users be interested to get in touch with the female models depicted here (if the model doesn't mind) via social networks or, even e-mail or phone?
- Would you like an option to vote for the liked model and/or picture?
- Any other ideas of the options are to be added to this app?

You may already have heard about the icons that Google may or may not announce : Project MOONSHINE. The new icons seem to take design hints from some popular custom icon packs in the Google Play store.
The leaked images show that they added shadows to the icons and they are very minimalist design. Today Brian Roberts announced a new icon pack and launcher theme based around project Hera, with the leaked icons in it. With the launcher theme we get a glimpse of what the final product from Google could look like. I have to say it looks fantastic from what I’ve seen so far.
This new launcher theme by Brian Roberts launched today with about 60 icons as it’s early right now, and I’m sure he will update it when more are released. They’re very high quality icons and he says more will be added daily, and a handful of wallpapers are included as well.
As of writing, you can get it in the Play Store for $1 for the launch sale, if you’re interested in how it will look on your device. Go try it out! I installed it and like it so far, it looks good and I think it’s worth the $1 to support the developer.
The icon pack is pretty solid from what I've seen so far, I look forward to seeing more icons come out, then seeing Google’s new design aspects make their way into other things throughout android. The new icons have a much cleaner and more minimal look to them. Hopefully Google releases the new icons soon, so we can get the full look and feel of them.
