I have some kind of bad scratches on my screen, I was just wondering if I choose to replace it will I need to swap the digitizer, screen or front case?
Its not causing many problems yet, but in the sun they show up really bad and make things under the scratches kind of hard to see.

The Actual front of the screen is actually the digitizer so thats what you would have to replace, the font case dosent have a clear part its the digitizer
and believe it or not thats probably the cheapest part of all 3 to replace
and if you choose to replace it you can use this guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaAe0xWdkzI

Hello, I also have scratch on the screen, but they're not scratch "lines": in the center, where I touch most of the times, I have some kind of spots, like the screen had worn in that point because is the most touched. Anyone with this problem? What it could be?
Thanks!

Check if there's any protection cover on the screen. In case there's no cover and you see the touchscreen was damaged, try to replace it. Someone already have posted youtube link to tutorial. For instance, you can buy a new touchscreen on ebay (i can't post the link)
I have a crack in the glass but the touch screen works fine. Is there a way to just replace the glass? And what glass should I use to replace it?

I have no idea.
I think as with other nooks the glass is fused to the LCD.

Are your sure? I thought so, but it would be cheaper to just replace the glass.

A quick search confirmed the glass and digitizer are a laminated assembly.

Thanks. Eo, if I understand you correctly, the glass and digitizer are together (cannot be taken apart), but are separate from the LCD?

Yeah, that's my understanding. For all practical purposes, one piece.
Is it possible to heat up the glass and carefully remove the front broken glass, then use loca glue and a UV light to glue on a new one. Saw it done on a first gen put can u do it on these too, it seems there is now bezel or frame around the glass like the first gen either.
If you watch Erika griffins tear down I believe (don't quote me ) that you have to take the phone apart and you'd risk doing damage to the back cover very easy to damage that taking it off

I just found this video. It is not mine.
This is the only way to replace the glass.

OK got a chance to watch the whole video, looks like he striped it all the way down to the front display assembly, then put the glass on a hot plate and got a string to separate the glue from the glass. Still would like to know if its necessary to disassemble the phone? Was it because he didn't want the heat to get to the stuff inside the phone?
Anyone?
Hi,

The glass housing the four cameras at the back broke this morning when the phone dropped. Any chance to replace it or do I need a new phone?

Very doubtful. I had a broken camera glass (basically stone pierced through the glass to the camera lens) in redmi note 7 pro. Back then the service guys had to change the board I think. I'm thinking it might be the same fate here. Sorry for you man.

In that an many other videos they only replace the glass without even opening the back:
Maybe beside the glass your camera was also damaged.
