1. Sandisk 32gb MicroSD working fine.
Yesterday, I got a Sandisk 32gb MicroSD card from www.pdashop.be. They told me I was probably the first customer in Belgium to get one, hah! Anyway, it works perfectly well in my HD2.
2. Just a little rant.
Some time ago, I noticed the 32gb cards from Sandisk were announced on www.htcaccessorystore.com. It's a storefront for Expansys, who handle everything behind the scenes. Anyway, the memory cards weren't available yet, but I left my e-mail address and credit card data so I'd receive a message as soon as they got them.
Then, a little over two weeks ago, I got that message: the cards were "available now", so I immediately confirmed my order for one 32gb card. At this point, it was no longer a pre-order but an actual order.
After confirming, I was told by Expansys the cards were still "with their supplier" and would arrive in 7 days. Huh, I thought they were "available now"? But, no problem, I could wait.
I checked the order status every now and then; after 6 days, it suddenly jumped from "1 day left" back to "4 days left". Then when those 4 days were up, it again jumped to 4 days. Notice a pattern?
By that time, I noticed that the cards had appeared on www.pdashop.be as well. I've had an excellent experience with that shop each time I bought something there (and they have a store close to where I live), so I just went ahead and ordered my memory card with them. Less than 24 hours later, I had it in my hands.
Yesterday, the countdown timer for my Expansys (or htcaccessorystore.com) order had gone up again, this time to 7 days. Needless to say, I cancelled my order there.
Edit: Expansys have contacted me in a reaction to this post. If anything, I have to admit that their customer service is alert, and that they care about how their customers feel. I probably should have talked to them before posting here.
In all fairness, I have absolutely no reason to assume that Expansys "deliberately announced the availability of the cards way too early to reel in all those orders ahead of other retailers", as I stated earlier. This was just me jumping to conclusions.
My only complaint is that their delivery estimate was so unreliable. Last time I checked, it had gone up again to 14 days, though the initial message I recieved said "available now". This is probably due to high demand for those new 32gb cards, but I found it quite inconvenient.
Maybe I'm just an impatient customer, I don't know. I would probably have been a better idea to talk to their customer service first.
Just to balance things: I've bought with Expansys before and had a much better experience then. Swift deliveries, great customer service. Problems can happen everywhere, and it should be no reason not to shop with them anymore. In fact, now that the initial surge of demand is over, they're probably a good place to get your 32gb card right now. As I said, it works perfectly well in the HD2.
I have ordered quite a few things from pdashop.nl and also i can say from experience there nothing less then good service. it is probably the same webshop as the be version.
some photo please
how much did that baby set you back...?
nooooo i just ordered a 16gb card!! arghhh
Any idea if there are plans to release a class 6?
After the horror stories of the class 2 that came with the TMOUS HD2 I'm hesitant to pull the trigger
Sorry I hate political correctness, tell it how it is,they were misleading in their
original message saying they were 'available'
In my book, that means they have them in their stock room boxed and ready to be dispatched, anything else is just so much horse crap surely....
Here are some pics.
The card cost about 160€. I don't know if there are any plans for class 6 cards yet, but to be honest, I've never regretted just using class 2. They're fast enough for music and high quality video on the HD2, in my experience. The only time when you may notice a speed difference is probably when copying files from your desktop using a card reader.
@Marct77 -- I agree: in stock means in stock (actually their original message said "available now"). When they contacted me after I'd posted the original version of my rant, at first I was pretty mad actually. Then I realised I couldn't prove anything of what I said about their intentions (the "trying to reel in orders" part) and such allegations actually weakened the point of my post. I decided it would probably be better to just stick to the facts and let the readers make up their own minds.
I told them I wouldn't remove the whole thread (as they had requested) but just the unfounded allegations. They were cool about that. And the rest is all true: I have had good experiences with them in the past.

Same, but on purpose... Paying 4x the price of a 16GB class 6 for 32GB class 2... no thanks.
2 1gb for less than 25 bucks
one from tmo free the other for 22 bucks
that's 32 gb and I'm happy with that
....... mine has been dispatched from mobilefun.de last Friday ........... close enough since I run out of memory with my 16gb card.
Will have to cancel my order now at expansys ............

What did they say their intentions were when they said "Available Now" yet couldn't deliver the product?
Great story, lol. I had kinda like the same experience when i first bought my HD2, but obviously from another retailer. They´re all trying to get so many pre-orders as possible with changing the delivery date.

They said they try to indicate the availability of products as correctly as they can, but sometimes they get the wrong info from their own suppliers. Fair enough.
Anyway, it's no use speculating about the real reasons for the delay (or rather, the fact that they started taking orders prematurely). I'm fine with the most "lenient" version of the story, which is that they made a mistake and later apologised. They gave me no problems cancelling my order either (and I'm sure I would have received it eventually if I'd been more patient). Whether there's anything more sinister going on, there's no way of knowing. Just thought I'd provide the facts here and let everyone decide for themselves.

I ordered from the mobilefun.co.uk on apr 15th and had to cancel after over one month of changing delivery dates ... I was pretty p**sed off, but I have to say they were polite and they refunded quickly.
I have placed another order with Sandisk directly, should be here this coming week.
I just can't wait ...
Did I get a fried card from SanDisk?
Just got my new 32GB card from Sandisk.
When I slid it in and powered on the phone asked to format it. OK I thought ...
But what happens is that it keeps asking to format it over and over again.
I tried accessing it via USB , and the PC asks to format it as well, showing a total capacity of 30.6 MB.
Same thing if I try running the WinMo Format SD Card: capacity 30.61 MB.
I contacted SanDisk suport. Awful. At first they said that they only test cards on PCs, then they said that dd not even know if hardware was compatible and that I should contact the phone manufacturer.
Finally, when I gave them the link on their site where compatibility is stated pointed me at a tool by HP to format flash memories over 32GB ...
They are clearly clueless.
I will try later to slide the card into my PC directly (don't have the adapter with me), but I am skeptical about results.
Is the card defective or did I miss something?
Expansys is horrible by my books. I can tell you now that what you thought was happening OP, is likely to be true. I've seen a phone go "3 more remaining" for the longest time (couple of days), the moment it goes out of stock, it refills up to "5 more remaining".
Bull crap nonsense. I don't buy any of that bureaucratic, "We try to be as accurate with our stock as possible". That's just a legal smokescreen for misleading consumers.

Do you really mean 30.61 MB, or should that be GB?
If it's GB then that's normal. There will be a decent chunk of the card taken up for filesystem overhead, and "rounding" of what a gigabyte is.
If you format the card in your PC I would expect it to stop asking you to repeatedly format.

maybe you will find your answer. by the way your 32gb card is really gone. you won't be able to do anything about it except a replace.
WOW, THIS was fast now by expansys !
Received my 32GB SanDisk mSD yesterday, no way to cancel order
Switched my HD 2 to flight mode, took out my 16 GB SanDisk (which was also class 2 and worked blazing fast), inserted 32GB mSD, was recognized immediately (no formatting neccessary).
Copied the content of 16GB mSD to PC in Flight Mode and Harddisk-Mode (ActiveSync switched off), took out the 16GB agagin and replaced it with the 32 GB, copied contents back from PC to 32 GB mSD, restarted HD2 and everything worked as if nothing had happened.
SKTools now tells me: 30,x GB available, everything running fine. Did a video recording test this morning driving in the car: 30 minutes of recording at max. res. NO PROBLEM !!!
Everything works perfect wirthout flaw ! FANTASTIC !!!
I have very limited computer abilities and want to use CM7 when my Nook Color arrives. I want to purchase a Sandisk SD card that is already programmed with CM 7 (unless there is a better version available) and is "overclocked" and all I have to do is put it in and turn on the NC.. I need to know if anyone can recommend someone who sells the proper classed card and "no brainer" directions. I have waited several months to save the money for the NC and want to be running as efficiently as possible.
PS- I did try to find the answer on here before I typed this and could not get through the massive amount of info on here.. This forum is wonderful and thanks to all who are so willing to help those of us that are struggling a bit..
Thank you ahead of time.

Im a kid so I can't sell mine and I looked around and couldn't find any. I think your best bet is to set asid your fears and start learning the world of uSD cards.
Doesn't get an easier than this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1000957
The worst that can happen is you mess up and have to reformat the SD and start again.
Also, I found it easier to do gapps at the same time as the CM7 install. After CM7 boots just touch the 4 corners, starting in the upper left and go clockwise, to exit the setup wizard, setup your wifi and then add your google account.

There are such cards available for sale at other sites (and based on work of xda people), but if you've saved up to buy the NC, you know that money doesn't grow on trees. I think your best bet is to use the link in post #3 here. First buy a SanDisk class 2 or 4 (at most) 2, 4 or 8G micro sd card. The brand and class are important, but GB size is not, although smaller ones are very cheap now. I got an 8G at amazon for about $10.
You can follow the steps on that link, and will probably have questions as you do. I did, and people here were very nice to answer quickly and everything went great. It's really more fun that way, and I think you'll do fine.
Here are a couple more links that I found very helpful, in addition to the main one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4nenR-mNo0
http://quinxy.com/2011/04/01/comple...c4-android-2-3-gingerbread-on-the-nook-color/
If you make an mistakes along the way, it's only the sd card and you can start over. Your NC system is untouched. Good luck!
The risk of buying a pre-loaded card from ebay/craiglist/etc is that you won't have had the first-hand experience of setting up CM7 under your belt. Eventually you'll want to replace/update the ROM for some reason at which point you'll need to learn the procedure anyway.
Given the strength of the NC community here, please consider trying your hand at doing it yourself. Folks here will be more than happy to help you out.
The help the process along a little bit, can you let us know what type of computer you're using and what it's running? (Mac vs Windows, Windows XP, Vista, 7, etc.)
One more tidbit, in terms of compatible sd cards, as others have already said, the Sandisk Class 2/4 microSDHC are very good for this work. Amazon, Walmart, Radio Shack, Office Depot all have these at very reasonable prices, so take your pick where to get it from. I would suggest getting an 8gb right off the bat, the 4gb feels small very quickly.
Thank you so much.. I will give it a try myself.. I have an Acer laptop running Windows 7. I appreciate all the input. I will order a Sandisk 8 MG Class 4 Micro SD card today..
Be sure to get the micro-SD to SD adapter unless your computer has a micro-SD port. Costco has 8 GB cards with adapter for a good price (they were on sale a few weeks ago).

Also make sure the SD reader/adapter is HC compatible. I have an older multi-card reader and Patriot brand micro SD to full size SD adapter and it was driving me crazy trying to figure out why I couldn't get either to get the computer to even detect a brand new Sandisk 8gb micro SDHC card.
another issue you might run into tho is that i found my laptops built in SD reader had issues and apparently others found the same thing too.. youmay have to find a friend with a component SD reader
We have a Soyo Bayone Extreme 9 in 1 media Card reader/writer combo, would that work?

Coincidentally, I also have an Acer laptop w Win7, with sd card reader slot at the front. I ordered this card: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001B1AR50. If your Acer is like mine, you do need the adapter, which often comes with micro cards, to read them. Lots of other good advice from members here.
It should work, you will still need a microSD to SD adapter (comes with a lot of microSD cards)
I have a MicroSd card and adapter from Sandisk thanks again guys..
You can do it. We all had to do it a first time too and the support here is great!
I actually ran it off of the sd card first to see if I liked it. Then I flashed it to the onboard memory.
Don't forget to register it before you flash it. After that you just use a google account for the market.
Good luck!
I appreciate all the help. I may be returning my unit due to an unexpected $2000.00 bill for some electrical work. I have to be a big girl and and wear my big girl panties..lol

This moves it up to the next level: Jack-Assery!
Technically, they are not charging for CM7 - they are charging for the SD Card and the time it takes to prepare the card, right? If so, I don't think it's such a bad thing... As long as they give credit to the CM7 team, that is!
Accidentally bought LDU SM-T810 16Gb WiFi, looks fine, but with "Not for sale" on back cover. The reason was - it's cheaper, but seller didn't tell me this is LDU, I only understand it later on.
So I have like 3-4 hours to decide, either I will return it and buyretail version (it'll cost additional $115 to the price of LDU), or I will stay pretty fine with this one.
Could anyone please tell what could be wrong in LDU? Sim and GSM module are not expected in both retail and LDU, memory is only 16GB instead of 32. Is that all?
This link is about a S6 LDU. It looks like the main issue with that S6 is the lack of GSM. It's worth reading about it and decide for yourself I suppose.

thanks, I did read it before posting. my one comes with almost normal android 5.1.1 (sellers flashed it). I say almost, because factory reset is grayed and unavailable, I will install TWRP and make a clean stock rom install then, hopefully this will solve factory reset availability, as I read somethere else in this forum.
Oh I see. I'm not an expert but from what I've read, flashing a normal rom was one of the issues people faced with their demo units. If you already have a normal rom on it, I guess your tablet is a keeper! At least that's what I'd do if I were you.
If it has ANY of the preinstalled Samsung demo software on it, I would return it asap. It hogs a lot of ram and slows down the device in general. I have worked with Samsung LDU's and they are a pain to deal with.
There are a number of people here that have turned demo devices into normal devices.
It's not that difficult.

works fine for almost 5 days.
it is actually model "sm-t810x", with 16gb of flash, and x is a differentiator for LDU.
all other is same, as I can understand, and it works with rom from sm-t810 (32gb) just fine.
thanks all.
Glad you got a nice deal then!
I have recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 off of Swappa, but when I received it, it had the damned ddi: mmc read error problem that I have read up on and found is a hardware issue. My question is if anyone know a place to buy this phone that is new or at least refurbished by Samsung. Preferably the T-Mobile Carrier version because I want to keep an unlocked bootloader. Especially looking for people who ran into the same issue and were able to find a seller with a phone that didn't have aforementioned problems. I am just really unsure about places as I really want to have the Note 4, best Samsung device IMO, and hoping someone can help.
If Gazelle sells them, I would trust them. I'm just about to send my Note 4 back to tmobile for trade in. Not sure exactly what happens to those phones. My 4 is on excellent condition so they shouldn't have to do too much.. excepting I of course tripped Knox. Not sure what they do about that.

Should be a ton of them out there somewhere, along with spare parts, considering n5 was never released in Europe.

There are at least two T-Mobile stores in the Atlanta area selling what they say are NEW Note 4s, one had them on display, the other said they had them in the back, but they weren't on display. Call a few in your area and ask.
I would only by one recertification with a warranty!

Hey guys,
Just got this awesome phone a few days ago, been trying to get TWRP installed on it. Followed the following youtube video guide:
Seems to match the instructions given in post #3 here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73817280&postcount=3
However, for some odd reason, after I flashed the TWRP in the description of the video (also tried with the one from the official TWRP Note 8 site), my entire 256GB Exynos Note 8 internal storage wasn't selectable in TWRP (it was showing 0MB), and it no longer booted, had to start from scratch. Fortunately, no loss as it's a brand new device with no personal data yet.
Any ideas on what's wrong? Is the current TWRP not compatible with 256GB variant? Does my 200GB MicroSD affect the process?

Its not for some odd reason, you didnt remove encryption from your device...twrp can not read encrypted storage .
your not following the install directions thats why its not working.
Follow the install directions properly and you wont have an issue .
Read and undertand what your doing before you flash and these types of things wont happen.
Its that simple.

Right, encryption, that wasn't mentioned in the video. Gonna look into removing it then re-try.

Damn that's a lot. You could have bought a 64gb one and bought a 256gb card and saved you a couple hundred bucks. Then when you want another phone you can't take that 256gb with you.

but then I'd have a 64gb phone with a 256gb card instead of a 256gb phone with a 256gb card

If you received it within the time they said you should receive it I wouldn't leave negative feedback. Mine just came super fast via DHL which is why I paid more for it. Kind of having a 1/3 life crisis for the last few years so I just don't care about 'minor' costs anymore, over having to wait for things lol

Yup, that did it. The video was missing the key directions for initializing TWRP, it only matched up to part 1 of the XDA step by step directions. 256GB Note 8 up and running with a 200 GB MicroSD card, now working on Smart Switching my content from my OnePlus One
BTW, paid $1379 AUD (~$1098 USD back then) + $20 AUD (~16 USD back then) for shipping on September 20th via eBay. It arrived on September 29th. Got $20 USD in rebate using the Ebate extension for Edge + 6% cash back via my credit card provider. However, just a few days after purchase, price went down to ~$1014 USD...oh well, pulled the trigger a wee bit too early out of excitement It's currently available here on eBay at that price if anyone's interested, don't forget to setup up Ebate if you don't already have it:

It's not bogus, it's just telling you that you selected a CSC from a Snapdragon device. It doesn't affect anything at all - CSC stuff can be used on Snapdragon or Exynos - in fact about 90% of the ROM is identical between Snapdragon and Exynos Note 8's, the only big differences are drivers, libraries, settings apps for the different chips between them. Remember, most of your Android stuff is a virtual machine so they don't write different versions of apps for every CPU, they write it for the Android VM (used to be Dalvik, now they use one called Art).

AT&T doesn't have VoLTE or wifi calling enabled automatically for non-AT&T-branded devices. You have to call them and have them add the new phone's IMEI to their system and provision it for those features.

Right, the SIM won't make any difference. The IMEI is part of the phone, not the SIM card.
