---------------
Greetings fellow T-Mobile OnePlus 7 Pro Users and Developers!
I am excited after much frustration and beating my head against the wall, screaming profanities at T-Mobile & OnePlus for locking down this amazing phone.
Me and my Friend have FINALLY found out how to Bootloader Unlock, TWRP and ROOT the OnePlus 7 Pro from T-Mobile!
I know this is a longer guide, but that is because there were quite a few steps for the T-Mobile variant. A few snags were hit with the T-Mobile variant so that's why this guide is so lengthy.
The extra benefit of this guide is:
* You will have the DUAL SIM feature working. - I can confirm as I have placed two SIM's in the device and switched between them, T-Mobile disabled one of the OP 7 Pro SIM Slots, but with the Firmware Flash you get it back, I find that Flashing to International Firmware an important step as your getting a major feature of the device back. --Though you will need to buy a Dual SIM tray if you want to use two SIM's, this is where I bought mine: OnePlus 7 Pro DUAL SIM Tray
* You will get working Sound, if you go straight to Android Q from the flash and install TWRP * Magisk you will have audio issues. - I didn't think to test what else went wrong, but that I know did.
* DRM is working, I can stream Netflix content.
* Audio Fixes and Camera Features appear and sound great.
* I have not had stability issues such as crashes, reboot or other unwanted.
* WiFi, Bluetooth, DUAL GSM Radio's working properly.
* You can switch between the services of both SIM's properly via the pulldown menu, as well you can set up SIM defaults for particular actions.
* T-Mobiles VoLTE is working, as is VoWiFi. - Nice if your like me and live primarily in a basement apartment and get crap signal.
* You will not need to get T-Mobile's stupid Bootloader Unlock Token (BUT), that can take upwards of two weeks to get, to unlock the bootloader with this method. -- Skip the line, Yes please! I like skipping past BUT's.
--What you need to do first!--
You MUST get your phone Permanently CARRIER UNLOCKED BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT ANYTHING HERE!!!
----
--GUIDE--
1. I applied T-Mobiles: (9.5.9 Security Patch) I saw and installed it on July 23rd 2019 - This was needed in order to get the Flashing tool to work as it would get stuck on Param because without that patch the EDL would not allow the tool to flash the OnePlus 7 Pro.
2. I enabled ADB Debugging and used: TOOL ALL IN ONE to install my OnePlus 7 Pro Drivers, I also enabled Advanced Reboot in Developer Options.
2a. If you don't know how to enable Developer Options or ADB Debugging & Advanced Reboot here is how...
2b. Go into Settings, About Phone, TAP Build Number until it pops up that you are a developer (if you have a password/fingerprint set up it will ask you to put it in.).
2c. Go to Settings, System, Advanced Options, Developer Options.
2d. Enable, Advanced Reboot, USB Debugging.
3. I followed the Tutorial on this link to install the International Firmware (WARNING THIS WILL WIPE YOUR Phones DATA!!!): [GUIDE]How to convert TMobile OP7 to International.
4. I then updated the phone through the phones OTA updater via Settings, System, System Updates all the way until it had no more updates. ( If we installed Android Q before this we found that the speaker had issues during a Google Duo call. So something about how this all stacks and builds up together breaks if you don't do this in order.)
5. We then downloaded and placed: Android Q Beta onto the root of the OnePlus 7 Pro storage.
5a I went to Settings, System, System Update, Options, Local Upgrade.
5b If you have the Android Q firmware in the right place you will get that as an option to flash, once it's done click the button to reboot.
6. Unlocking the Bootloader.
6a. Enable Developer Options.
6b. Now we enable OEM Unlocking, and Advanced Reboot if not already. ( If you did not previously get your device Permanently SIM Unlocked you will not be able to enable OEM Unlocking, and you will be stuck unless you flash back to T-Mobile's Firmware and use their proprietary SIM Unlock APP. ).
6c. Press power button and reboot to Bootloader.
6d. Run the command ( fastboot oem unlock ). It should ask you on the phones screen if you want to, say yes.
6e. Run the command ( fastboot oem device-info ). Check to see if the bootloader unlock is True or False, True is expected. If False unlock the bootloader via other methods.
7. Booting TWRP & Flashing TWIRP + Magisk.
This was a bit tricky as the existing tutorials did not work with my device and I had to add a step.
First get the TWRP.IMG & TWRP Installer ZIP files ready as well grab Magisk by downloading them here: Official/Unofficial TWRP recovery for OnePlus 7 Pro. & Magisk
7a. Run the command ( fastboot boot TWRP.IMG ) The phone should then boot into what looks like full TWRP, well sorta, it's not really installed yet.
7b. If 7a fails as it did with me Run the Command ( fastboot set_active b ) then try 7a command again, if that fails as well run ( fastboot set_active a ). and repeat.
7c. Once you have booted TWRP put the TWRP installer ZIP on the phone in the root directory.
7d. Now we get the Magisk installer zip on the root of the phone as well.
7e. Now we install TWRP installer ZIP first then Magisk installer ZIP.
Reboot - Enjoy and install custom ROMs & Kernels!

I get the failed message you talk about in step 7b. When I try to run the commands "fastboot set_active b" it doesn't recognize that command or the other to set to a. I'm stuck not being able to install TWRP and proceed to root. Any ideas?

Yes I was carrier unlocked.
If anybody comes here looking to root, this guide does not work. You need to follow the guide to convert to international
Help please, unlocked bootloader and tried to install twrp image. Screen stayed stuck on fastboot screen with the one + symbol.?
I was wondering if network bands change after flashing to international rom. Will it continue to be NA region or will it change?
Correct you need to first flash to international version. Then use this guide.
Tool ALL in one does not work anymore with this phone. - I recommend you do not use this method any more as its method I used will no longer work.

Yes, change it back and forth (Your goal is to get Fastboot Boot TWRP.IMg to boot.... so switch your active... A-B partition with step 7b and try 7a again on each partition.... a and b. one or the other will work depending on what partition is currently active.):
7A: fastboot boot TWRP.IMG
7B: fastboot set_active a - to - fastboot set_active b

My experience has been that all the existing bands have worked the same... I have continued to connect to T-Mobile's 600 + 700 Mhz spectrum.
I have been running the International Firmware since the initial posting of this guide.
I thought that they would be the same after flashing.Just wanted to confirm.
Thank you
Just got this phone today, and I just want to make sure I'm clear. If I go through these steps, I'll be on Q DP3, but I don't need to go through the waiting period via T-Mobile (I bought my phone outright) but after I get on DP3, can I then flash the International stock ROM and be good, or will I always have to use a custom ROM after doing these steps?? I saw somewhere that Bootloader unlocked is grayed out after you go to DP3 and then International ROMs. Thanks.
Hi, On my T-Mobile O7pro
I tried the command
Fastboot boot TWRP.img
It replaced my stock boot image and now I can't boot again, even to the supposed TWRP recovery
I also switched partitions countless times and tried same process.
I'll appreciate if I get a feedback. Thanks
Hi,
Please someone experienced a black screen in Qhd and 90Hz after doing that, in the 11.0.2.* ??
thx in advance.

Now, I know this tutorial exists all over the place, like one-click and UnjustifiedDev tutorial but none seemed to work. I am sharing the steps and method I used IN-DEPTH command for command on how to unlock, flash, and root the LG G4 from Tmobile.
NOTE THIS WILL FACTORY RESET YOUR DEVICE SO BACKUP ALL YOUR DATA
1. Activate developer settings by entering the about section and tapping build number 7 times.
2. Enter your developer settings and MAKE sure you have 'Allow OEM unlock' and 'USB Debugging' enabled.
3. Download the latest SuperSU zip and move it onto your SD card.
4. Using the android issue SDK. Open a command window and link it to your SDK folder where ADB is located (typically Platform-Tools)
5. Once the Command window is linked to the folder, connect your device via USB and allow the connection.
6. On the command window type 'adb reboot bootloader' and the device should reboot with the fastboot options on the upper left of the phone screen
7. Once again on the command window type 'fastboot oem unlock' and the command window should say OKAY and complete the action.
8. To Confirm that the device is unlocked type 'fastboot getvar unlock' and the window should respond with 'Unlock: YES'
9. Now download the latest available TWRP and drop it into the platform-tools folder where your ADB.exe is located.
10. On your Command Window type 'fastboot flash recovery "NAME OF TWRP FILE" if you get the error ' cannot load 'twrp-X.X.X.X-h811' you need to add .img to the end of the filename
11. Once the process completes you will see 'target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (32968 KB)...
OKAY [ 1.088s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: unknown command)
finished. total time:'
THE FAILED UNKNOWN COMMAND NOTICE CAN BE IGNORED
12. Once the process completes the device may not let you enter recovery from the traditional method using the buttons on the back of the phone so the easiest method is to, on your command window, type
'fastboot boot twrp-2.8.7.0-h811.img' and the device should respond within just a few seconds and reboot into TWRP.
13. Once the device reboots, enter twrp and tap on install and locate the SuperSU.zip and allow it to install.
14. Once the process completes successfully, wipe cache to be safe and reboot your device.
15. Resetup your device and restore your data if necessary and install a root checker from Google Play to confirm root!
THATS IT GUYS! This took me a long time to figure this out and it's a combination of different methods to get it to work!
All credit goes to the Devs of TWRP and SuperSU!
I posted in General because I'm a new user so please move to appropriate forums! thanks!

The guide you linked does not show how to unlock the bootloader or install TWRP to allow the install of SU for users that are already on Marshmallow. The other guide would have been perfect if I already had bootloader unlocked and SU installed.

Yes it does. You do not need to use any codes, just enable oem unlocking in dev settings and type fastboot oem unlock and it will be unlocked.
Can't get twrp installed
Thanks for the step by step directions. I'm having trouble restarting my H811 after I've flashed TWRP. My device doesn't respond to the button method of entering recovery and 'fastboot boot twrp-2.8.7.0-h811.img' command doesn't do anything. My device is 20i and I've unlocked the bootloader. Any ideas? Seems like I've tried everything and can't get TWRP to install. Any help would be great...thanks

Can't remember which thread, but I ran into the same problem you have and solved it by using an additional command like fastboot erase userdata. If you google it, you'll see the commands I mean. Basically, I had to factory reset the device through fastboot first (it sits there for several minutes to do this) before installing/booting twrp. And yes, the log will show that the process was successful, not a failure as mentioned by OP. Once I did that, I booted in twrp and flashed the rom zip without any trouble.
So, you guys mean we have Marshmallow on T mobile G4, I didn't get it yet.
Please somebody give me a link to the OTA or update.zip for MM of LG G4
This one worked for me!
This is the only guide that worked for me.
I unlocked bootloader using adb, no problems...
I tried to flash TWPR with fastboot but kept getting errors. Booting into recovery got a dead android minion and red triangle with ! I ran this stupid recovery a dozen times and read a dozen threads with no obvious answers.
This guide says "ignore the error" and run fastboot boot twrp-2.8.7.1-h811.img which immediately opened TWRP and allowed SuperSU-2.71.zip to be flashed.
The part most guides are missing is the fastboot boot twrp-2.8.7.1-h811.img, so my thanks go here. Some other guides are so difficult to read and follow.
Thanks OP !
Yes, MM Android 6.0 went OTA for T-Mobile a month or so ago...
If you are already on Marshmallow, can't you do the 'fastboot oem unluck' with ADB and install SuperSU through the play store to get root? The part for TWRP would only give you the ablity to flash other roms.
Edit: Nevemind I'm wrong. You need TWRP to install SuperSU which roots the phone. SuperSU in the Play Store will only grant root acess to your apps.

I've just got a H811 and it automatically updated to Android 6 when I loaded it up. I will be giving this guide a go this evening. Many of the other links on the web are for lollipop and were released when the phone came out, so I'm thankful that this seems straight forward. http://uslugi.nie-spamuj.eu/rtv,1,0.html Hoping that it goes that way.
How to lock bootloader or hide status: bootloader state: unlocked?
Sr for my English!
So I followed this guide and I appear to be soft bricked at best and hard bricked at worst. I did read the other guide linked in the second response and I found a major difference that might be my problem. So in the guide linked in the second response it doesn't say to even try flashing TWRP from fastboot. It says to just boot from it then install it from within TWRP. I followed the steps verbatim and my phone is currently stuck at the T-Mobile splash screen. Any suggestions? I have tried to boot into recovery by holding down and the power and releasing the power for a second when the logo comes up. I get into the Factory data reset screen and select Yes twice then the green guy shows up and the phone resets but stays at the T-Mobile splash screen. I don't have ADB or fastboot with the phone in this state.
hi Guys,
So i just wanted to make sure and present my ask -
So, currently twrp flashing and obtaining root is still buggy for those who have android 6.0 preinstalled? Is this a correct assumption?
Also, my ask - I dont want root but i would like a custom recovery so that I may flash custom fonts. My work email (Good for Enterprise) is very much needed (although i hate it to the core).
Can someone please answer me / correct if I mentioned something wrong?
Thanks

It's not buggy at all. All the tedium has already been bypassed if you already have Marshmallow installed.
Follow autoprime's original guide, steps 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 under the Bootloader OEM Unlock + Root section. I would recommend a more up-to-date version of TWRP than 2.8.7.1 though. Go to TWRP's download site for the latest version.
My mi A2 is currently running on the September update, the bootloader is locked, it's fresh and clean.
From the Mi A1 Gcam experience, I'm not having that much satisfying results on the default A2 stock camera. On my A1 I used that gcam toolkit for enabling Camera2Api. So the process was pretty clean and hassle free. OTA updates were nice and fine as well.
On my A2 the case is different. So far I haven't found any sort of things like that. Most of the processes include unlocking bootloader and root then magisk. And that'd be the last thing I'd ever try to do.
So is there anyway to get Google camera working on Mi A2 without losing OTA, BOOTLOADER UNLOCK AND ROOT?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a2/how-to/mi-a2-toolkit-unlock-bootloader-root-t3834585
I've found this link. But I'm not clear about the processes.
Anybody in the community with a kind heart will be generous enough to help me out? That'd be a big help. ?
Search and read read and read ... you need to have knowledge if you want to mess with this phone, and if you are afraid of flashing, then don't do it, if you are lazy, don't do it.
There is no way to enable camera2 without unlocking botloader, and then after enabling camera2, bootloader needs to stay unlocked.

Yes, if your bootloader still locked. Remember, if you unlock your bootloader, you will loose your data, so you have to wait to boot the phone and set it up. And than option 7.
Follow the instructions in the toolkit
If I unlock and relock the bootloader, do I lose my warranty? It's the single most deciding factor for me.

I tried to go on with the twrp method using that toolkit. Unlocked my bootloader manually. The when I tried to use the toolkit to temporarily get access of twrp and run cmd from computer. When I enter the command adb shell, that showed my devices wasn't found. But when the phone is turned on then that shows my devices there. So I failed to figure out that. And on the other hand it want twrp as well. It was pitch black recovery something.
Secondly when I tried to go with the command 7 to enable camera2Api, it asked to temporarily root. I kept continued with Y. It came up with a note that allow USB debug with the phone will turn on again and make sure to keep phone connected. After that my phone never turned on again :") ♥. It was bricked and I wasn't even able to flash using miflash tool. So I had to go to the repair shop to get my phone fixed.
I wonder why the process is so ugly and annoying on A2 when it was the easiest thing on the A1.
Trust me? I had enough trouble. My wholes night's sleep was gone thinking that I've just got this phone 7 days ago! ?

With TWRP you have to enter the commands "setprop persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1" and "setprop persist.camera.eis.enable 1" inside TWRP's terminal on your phone screen.

Secondly when I tried to go with the command 7 to enable camera2Api, it asked to temporarily root. I kept continued with Y. It came up with a note that allow USB debug with the phone will turn on again and make sure to keep phone connected. After that my phone never turned on again :") .

To "unbootloop" your phone, you should enter "fastboot flashing unlock" and "fastboot unlock flashing_critical" (without quotes) in fastboot command line prompt and proceed with MIFLASH tool. Worked twice with me and I'm pretty sure can work for you.
But another advice: the process with Majisk (with the tool -> number 7) doesn't worked with me at all. I tried twice and had to MIFLASH before just bcz of Majisk. So, for a while, I recommend keep a distance from it.

Please correct me if I'm going wrong.
1) unlock my bootloader.
2) put the phone in fastboot and connect to pc while USB debug enabled.
3) open the toolkit and proceed to twrp, only boot but not install method.
4) now I've to come to my phone. On the twrp I've seen an option called terminal. I've to click and enter there.
5) now I've to enter this command on my twrp terminal.
Setprop persist.camera.eis.enable 1
setprop persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1
6) and then reboot to phone?

Reboot and test if the camera settings that requires camera2api are working. If they are, I recommend to torn off and go to fastboot mode again and replace the modified boot (TWRP) to the stock one.
So, you setted partition b to TWRP, restore the original boot in place of it.

There are (probably) some files missing with the tool. As you can see in the error message, the required bat to the process is missing. Download the complete tool with its .bat files and try again.
[GUIDE]HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM RECOVERY, UNLOCK BOOTLOADER & UPDATE FIRMWARE IN Dec2019
I SOLVED THEM MYSELF, GUIDE WILL BE POST WHEN I CAN POST A THREAD
*i posted them here
INITIAL POST
Unable/failed to unlock bootloader/fastboot
It's been 8 hours and I have literally tried everything even to my own method but none of them worked (I follow all tutorial and guidance perfectly on both xda and from a article and youtube). When I click the unlock.cmd, it just flash quickly (probably open command prompt in split second) and do nothing (I had checked with a command; fastboot oem device-info). Then I tried click again and it just stopped at support all device. The folder location is on C aka main storage, I have installed all the required stuff and I'm on 6gb variant. I even wipe clean my phone and it is on Android Pie. Trying to unlock this bootloader is driving me insane. Official TWRP app does not have my variant (M1) instead they have M2 so I doubt I can use flash recovery from there. I just wanted to install TWRP and Havoc OS with Magisk and root. My phone is legit, I have warranty and all that. I just want to unlock my bootloader and able to relock it for future warranty use.
To clarify things further, I have no issues with ADB displaying on Device Manager and I can see Bootloader on Device Manager without any warning sign. I even switch the cable (both are data cable) and for some reason it only worked on usb 3.0 port. I also had tried all connection mode (PTP (no MTP), USB Tethering, File Transfer and nothing). I had make sure I had installed the driver too and my PC already have ADB but I installed them thrice anyway.
EDIT1: I just noticed my warranty had expired so I decided to officially unlock the bootloader and it was a success but I still can't use fastboot command to flash TWRP (fastboot flash recovery twrp bla bla.img) and it does run the command just failed.
EDIT2: Alright it was solved!
I had already written a guide on how to solve it but I couldn't post it.
I AM POSTING THIS HERE BECAUSE XDA SUCKS, I COULDNT POST A NEW THREAD SO HERE WE GO.
HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM RECOVERY, UNLOCK BOOTLOADER AND INSTALL FIRMWARE IN LATE 2019
*last update 8 december 2019
#I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR HARD BRICK OR SOFT BRICK OF YOUR DEVICE SO TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK AND FOLLOW WITH CAUTION
*this is based on my personal experience of my continuous effort in reading, researching, testing, tweaking all for the past few weeks
*note this is a guide specifically for these problems
-my post on how I failed to unlock bootloader
-command write failed
-phone not detected in bootloader
-adb or bootloader driver showing error on device manager
-other guides not working on amd rig
-unable to flash recovery
-phone not detected in adb
-etc
CUSTOM RECOVERY
#DO NOT INSTALL ORANGE FOX, YOU WILL GET ERROR 7 UPON FLASHING VARIOUS CUSTOM ROM
TWRP
*you can install orange fox later on by dirty flashing it (install without wiping your data)
*lastest one is 3.3.1.0
ADB & FASTBOOT
15 seconds ADB
*this is a system wide adb, there is no need for 'cd' command and you can just use straight up use adb or fastboot command and uninstall other adb along with their drivers because other adb wouldn't work and use outdated client and driver
HOW TO UNLOCK BOOTLOADER
#THIS IS AN UNOFFICIAL WAY TO UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER, I HAVENT TESTED THIS MYSELF
Download this
1. Do not use your stock charger, get data cable or third party one
2. You may need to connect your cable to USB 3.0/3.1 port (blue one)
* if it didn't work, you may need to use USB Hub (even cheap one will work)
3. Open up your CMD (search cmd or use powershell if you like on windows search)
4. Type adb reboot bootloader in cmd or .\adb reboot bootloader in powershell
5. Extract the rar you downloaded
6. Go to unlock folder and double click on unlock.cmd
*if these didn't work then you can officially unlock it (if you unlock it officially, your warranty is really now voided and can't lock back bootloader)
#OFFICIAL WAY TO UNLOCK YOUR BOOTLOADER (two ways)
Method 1
1. Open your cmd or powershell
2. Type adb reboot bootloader in cmd or .\adb reboot bootloader in powershell if you haven't enter fastboot or bootloader
3. Type fastboot oem unlock in cmd or .\fastboot oem unlock in powershell
Method 2
1. Download this on your phone
2. Run it and done
##CHECK TO SEE IF IT SUCCEED OR NOT BY TYPING FASTBOOT OEM DEVICE-INFO IN CMD OR .\FASTBOOT OEM DEVICE-INFO IN POWERSHELL AND MAKE SURE THE COMMAND IS IN LOWERCASE
HOW TO INSTALL CUSTOM RECOVERY
1. Boot to bootloader by either using command or power off then hold both power button and volume up button then release power button when phone vibrate
2. Open your cmd or powershell
3. Copy your custom recovery img name with .img
*it should look like this; twrp-3.3.1-0-X00T-20190526.img
3. Type fastboot flash recovery [paste it here]
*wait 1 minute or longer
4. Boot into recovery by holding both power button and volume down button then release power button when the phone vibrate
TROUBLESHOOT
Use command fastboot fastboot devices (when in bootloader) and adb devices (when device is on systemui/not in bootloader)
A: If the device shows random alphabet or number like JADSHFE2849 then your device is detected
B: If it doesn't, try changing usb port and wires
*remember to put .\ at the front of every command when using powershell
*cmd is command prompt
HOW TO INSTALL FIRMWARE (two ways)
#WARNING THIS OFFICIAL WAY WILL REVERT YOUR CUSTOM RECOVERY INTO STOCK ONE
*doing this will wipe out your internal data
OFFICIAL WAY
1. Download latest firmware here to your sd card
*remember to set your region first by scroll down to bottom left near the language otherwise it wouldn't work or worse, may brick your device
2. Wipe clean your rom (wipe system, data, etc but not vendor)
3. Boot into system even when no OS is available
4. Complete the setup
5. Boot into recovery
6. Apply update from external storage
7. Browse to your download location and tap it
8. Wait around 10 minute - 15 minute for it to finish
9. Congrats, your firmware has been updated and you can proceed to flash custom recovery again
UNOFFICIAL WAY
Flash this on your custom recovery
*direct link if you prefer but may be outdated as time goes on {Mod edit: Link remove}
Looks like you need to use windows 7 with USB 2.0 port. Or wait till warranty runs out and unlock using official app.
What processor does your system has?
Ryzen? Goodluck with that then.
Fastboot driver doesnt work on amd ryzen builds
Same problem here...
Not even on usb 2.0 ports

I still don't know how I did it but I use platform tools from google and it worked because the platform tools use the very latest adb client (around 60 or something). I do install something else like sdk tools and twrp 3310 but i had no idea why it worked which is why i havent post link for guidance. I suspect it was only because of my platform tools. (also for windows 10, i doubt you need those adb drivers bull****)
EDIT: I found a better solution, install 15 seconds adb. This is universal ADB and can be use on any directory but I recommend you to delete the drivers and older ADB beforehand.
Hi. Thank you very much for posting this, I'd been frustrated trying to install drivers but somehow I couldn't get it right. I found this and installed the 15secondADB thing, tested a few commands and everything seems to work. I'm just wondering whether I'll need to install any more drivers in order to start flashing staff through Fastboot.
Thank you in advance

I'm glad it helped. For the driver, there's no need for it because 15 seconds ADB should have installed the required driver or update it. However, I recommend you to try do windows update check to install any missing driver just in case. (I haven't tested this myself though since there's no driver to install from there)

Hi, i will not waste anyones time, i just want to share with you the steps that i took to convert my T-mobile Revvlry+ into a Moto G7 Plus, obviously, this is just a software conversion, also with this conversion, you will now have Android 10 on your device, and if you want to, Root, so, lets get started.
DISCLAIMER
Please read the guide completely before trying anything on your device, i will not be responsible for anything that happens to your phone, if you dont understand something or you dont feel comfortable doing one of the steps, please clear all of your doubts in the comment section, ill try my best to help you trough the steps.
Also, because the first steps involve unlocking your bootloader, your warranty will now be void.
Prerequisites:
Motorola device drivers: HERE
android sdk platform-tools: HERE
Moto g7 plus retail android 10 firmware: HERE for this i used the QPWS30.61-21-11 build
Flash conversion.bat: at the end of the post
logo.bin: HERE thanks to @luiz_neto for this mod, please thank him on his post
Instructions:
First download all the files, install the motorola device drivers if you dont have them already, extract the platform-tools to your desktop for easy access and inside of this folder extract the firmware, logo.bin and flash conversion.bat files, the platform-tools will now be a working ADB and Fastboot enviroment, if you are using windows 10 please follow THIS guide to enable this folder in powershell, just change the path of the guide for the path where you extracted the platform-tools folder.
Now you need to unlock your bootloader, you have to know that this will erase all your data, so please first backup all of your files, then go to settings and enable the developer settings by clicking 7 times on the "Build number" option in the "About phone" section, then go into system>developer settings and enable "oem unlock", now turn off your phone and pressing volume down, connect the usb cable, the phone will boot into bootloader, some drivers will automaticaly install, after this, go to the Motorola bootloader unlock website HERE and log in or create an account, after this just follow the steps on the website to unlock your bootloader, you will use platform-tools as your ADB and Fastboot enviroment for this, just download it and extract it to your desktop for easy access.
Basicaly what you have to do is send a fastboot command to get some info out of the phone
Code:
fastboot get oem_unlock_data
this is done on windows command prompt (CMD), after sending this command, the phone will return bunch of text, you select and copy this text and put it trough the data scrubbing tool present on the motorola website to get only the alfanumeric string of data, you put this data on the website and it will thell you wheter your bootloader can be unlocked or not, the Revvlry+ is an unlockable model, now at the bottom of the page a button will appear to ask for the unlock code, this code will get delivered to your email, now you just have to run a command twice and your bootloader will be unlocked
Code:
fastboot oem unlock UNIQUE KEY
The unique key is the one that motorola will send to your email.
At this point you can root your phone, install TWRP and a custom rom, but i will not go intos this, the guides made for the Moto G7 plus work for our phone, now we will proceed to make the conversion.
If you are using this guide with a newer build, please open the flash conversion.bat with notepad++ and check that the files mentioned on the .bat match the files on the newer firmware, if its missing a file, or it has more files listed, just add or erase the line that points to it, specialy the sparsechunk files wich can vary from firmware versions.
Now you just have to run the flash conversion.bat and wait, the script will automaticaly flash the moto g7 plus firmware including the modded logo.bin that will hide the unlocked bootloader warning screen, it takes a few minutes to do so, just be patient.
When the script finishes it will close and your phone will reboot, just give it a few minutes and you will be greeted with the android 10 setup wizard and thats it, your Revvlry+ is now a Moto G7 Plus softwarewise, at this point you can follow a guide to install TWRP and Root your phone, the guides for the Moto G7 Plus are aplicable for our device.
And thats it, thank you for your time and i hope this guide is helpful to you.
I actually tried it in another Revvlry+ 3 months ago but the boot warning is not removed and safetynet does not pass it, in bootloader state it says:flashing locked instead of being restored as oem_lock in bootloader

Hi All, as this device is fairly new and there is not much clarity on things so, I decided to create a master guide as you see below. I am also attaching a PDF version of this guide as I have not formatted this XDA post to what I feel it should be like. You may download and follow that, I will keep updating things as I find.
Lets start
1. Unlock Bootloader1.1 Apply for Bootloader Unlock
Enable developer settings
Go to Settings>About phone/My device> All specs> Hit MIUI Version 8 times
Access Developer Settings from Settings>Additional Settings
Enable OEM Unlocking option
Now login to your desired Mi Account that you wish it to be associated with your device (Mi account should have a mobile number registered for OTP and verification sometime asked by MI flash unlock tool)
Your unlock bootloader wait time starts now. Wait for 7 days (168 hours from the time you added MI account) to unlock bootloader
1.2 Unlocking BootloaderSo you have crossed the wait period…. Now follow below to unlock assuming you have all the USB drivers for Mi devices (usually auto installed when you connect mobile)
Warning: All your userdata (including pictures and files) will be wiped out
Download official Mi flash unlock tool from this link: https://miuirom.xiaomi.com/rom/u1106245679/5.5.224.24/miflash_unlock-en-5.5.224.24.zip
Boot into Booloader: Power off your mobile then hold Volume Down + Power Button till fastboot bunny pops up
Open Mi Flash unlock tool downloaded in step 1
Sign in with same account that you used to sign in in Developer Settings in step 1.1.d. It may ask to verify your account with OTP. do it.
Click Unlock on the tool.
Your device will be unlocked and rebooted. Wait till reboot.
Congrats… you have an unlocked mobile device now
Now let’s go to Rooting your device for which we will have to flash TWRP to Mobile
2 TWRP Flash and Rooting2.1 TWRP Flash
Download and Install Minimal ADB and Fastboot for windows for this link: https://androiddatahost.com/wp-content/uploads/Minimal_ADB_Fastboot_v1.4.3.zip
Download unofficial TWRP (only one available as of writing this guide) from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi....6.0_11-0_LOCAL-20220203-01-vili.img/download and rename it to twrp.img
Also download Magisk from below link: https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases/download/v24.0/Magisk-v24.0.apk we will use it next section for rooting.
Rename the downloaded magisk file from magisk.apk to magisk.zip and copy it to your device’s storage
Copy the above twrp.img file to Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder (not necessary if you know some directory navigation using command prompt)
Boot mobile into bootloader (follow 1.2.b)
From your Minimal ADB and Fastboot folder open Cmd here.exe file to access the ADB tool
Connect your device to PC
Verify if device has connected successfully using the command below
Fastboot devices
This should return your device id
Now boot into TWRP using below commands
Fastboot boot “twrp.img” if you pasted twrp.img in minimal adb and fastboot folder
Fastboot boot “path to twrp.img” if you did not move it to the minimal adb and fastboot folder
Let the device boot to TWRP
In above step we just booted by TWRP which is temporary. Now let’s flash it to make it permanent:
Go to Advanced settings in TWRP and click Flash Current TWRP
Reboot to TWRP
2.2 TWRP Backup of Current Rom
You should have a working TWRP
Boot to TWRP and navigate to Backup section
Select all partitions and swipe to confirm
If you see error in backing up, uncheck Data and EFS partition backup
The backup should complete successfully
Have this backup copied to a PC for emergency wipout of your mobile
2.3 Rooting/Flashing Magisk
Go to Install in TWRP and select magisk.zip you copied in step 2.1.d
This will flash magisk and root your device. Now reboot to system from recovery
Once you have the device booted, rename the magisk.zip to magisk.apk again and install the magisk app on device
You may update if you see any updates to magisk or app
2.4 Passing Safetynet
Download this magisk module zip from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QJHPpL4R8fcxjB35XbcpaCOipKzpvL2I/view?usp=sharing
Go to magisk app settings and enable Zygisk (beta) also enable Enforce Deny List
Select Hide the Magisk app and give any desired name for Magisk to hide its identity
Now go to modules page in Magisk app.
Select Install from source/storage option and chose the downloaded safteynet zip
Reboot
This will pass safetynet but still Indian bank apps won’t work. Keep following below for clear
Go to magisk settings and enter Configure DenyList
Add all the apps you want to hide magisk and root from (such as phonepe, Gpay)
Don’t leave any service from the selected apps unchecked
3. Flash EU RomWarning: All your userdata (including pictures and files) will be wiped out
A TWRP backup of current rom is recommended before following the next steps
You can see section 2.2 for the instruction on backup
Download Fastboot EU rom from here: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=17825722713688263895
Extract all the contents in zip file to any normal folder
We will be using Bootloader/Fastboot mode. Boot into Bootloader: Power off your mobile then hold Volume Down + Power Button till Fastboot bunny pops up
Connect your device to PC
From the extracted folder Open windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format.bat(for windows).
You may execute appropriate similar named file if you are running Linux or MacOS
The EU rom flashing process will start. Hit “Y” on keyboard to accept Formatting
Wait patiently while the PC does its Job.
You may see a long pause post “writing Cust” command depending on PC configuration. You should wait for 5 minutes at least, then try hitting any letter key on your keyboard, the process continues this way.
You may hit letter key whenever you see unusual pauses during pushing of super partition file sparse sending 1 of 9 to 9 of 9
Wait till process finishes and reboots
For TWRP and Rooting you can follow the same guide in section 2.
Updating to Miui13/Android 12 EU Rom
Check out this guide to Update to Android 12
Happy Rooting… Njoy your device.
Lastly.. All the credit goes to respective owners, I have just compiled everything together and in an easy manner. PM me for credits.
Do let me know if you have any suggestions and corrections.
Thanks & Regards,
Abdus Saboor Asad

Quick question if you allow me.
The unlock boot loader timer starts ticking even without hooking the phone up to the mi unlock tool? Just the dev options, OEM unlock and login to mi account is sufficient?
I remember I messed around with this when I tried to unlock my Poco F1 at the time.
Thanks

Good question... I think we should hook once, that's how I unlocked. But I feel it should work without hooking as well.
Anyone should test it and update for us the other way.
When i download the TWRP and boot into TWRP (through fastboot boot "twrp.img"), my touch screen will not work anymore. How could i fix this?

Please make sure you are having latest ADB installed on your machine. The best option is to install Android Studio . Secondly make sure to enable USB debugging .
You can reboot to fastboot through adb commands.
Once you are connected to ADB enter the command below.
ADB reboot Bootloader.
This will reboot to fastboot mode.
Fastboot devices
The above command shows whether you are on fastboot or not.
Now open the unlock tool and unlock your bootloader. Else if you are confident in recovering your device. use the command below
Fastboot flashing unlock
Hope the above helps.

There is no solution, there is no twrp for Android 12 / MIUI13 yet.
