I'm a newbie here
What I've to say is
I bought my Z20 like 3 weeks ago directly from China and it has CNC V2.21
I tried installing Google services using Google installer and some similar Chinese apps
But google services just won't work
So i decided to Install TWRP
I looked all the threads on different sites
1. https://www.google.com/amp/s/unofficialtwrp.com/twrp-3-3-1-root-nubia-z20/amp/
2. https://www.google.com/amp/s/forum.xda-developers.com/nubia-z20/how-to/twrp-install-t4008263/amp/
3. https://www.getdroidtips.com/twrp-recovery-zte-nubia-z20/
4. https://myphoneupdate.com/install-twrp-recovery-on-zte-nubia-z20/
5. https://www.androidweblog.com/zte-nubia-z20-nx627j-root-install-twrp-recovery/
All these sites has different Drivers which had me confused
Plus I can't seem to find that twrp.img file which everyone is talking about
but there's one thing I don't understand
I downloaded Drivers to my pc
TWRP application to my phone and everything
But when i tired to fastboot it i just couldn't click on that only "Fastboot" option
And I'm stuck in the bootloader every time
I know i might be doing this wrong
So i need help
Please
Plus there's this Brazilian guy's video which i think might be helpful but since i don't understand Portuguese it's no use
Here:- https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dkJ93QqrBAk&t=611s
( I don't know what option he chose at 10:05 maybe he chose Reboot to recovery but when I'm doing that it's not working it takes to that interface where there are 2 options
1. Chinese
2. English
Selects English
And then there are four options
1. Local update package
2. Wipe data
3. Reboot
4. Power off
There's this guy from a group ok Facebook who installed Google services i tired his method too but no success
(Here:- https://m.facebook.com/groups/index.nubia/permalink/2619505128276891/ )
I don't wanna install custom rom or anything i just want google apps through Magisk which isn't possible without TWRP
I'm looking for a detailed guideline please maybe like a complete walkthrough with screenshots attached
I'm so bad at all this stuffs so any help would be appreciated
And also my English isn't that good so I'm sorry about that

Good day. Please I need assistance.
I have an issue while using Whatsapp on Redmi note 10 pro (128GB/8GB). When ever I type a message, it doesn't get delivered. That is, the clock sign is there. No single or double check . Whenever I exist the app then open again, the message will deliver.
Every other thing is running smoothly, status are coming in, and no lag. But whenever I send a message it doesn't get delivered until I exist nd open the app again. If I type another message, it doesn't send untill I exit and open the app again. Sometimes Whatsapp will function normally and then randomly this problem kicks in.
Whatsapp version: lastest as the time of this Post.
Android version: 12
Miui: 13.0.8 (stable)
Please help me

Thank you so much for your response.
I've been facing this problem ever since I bought the device on July 18th, 2022.
I'm using 4G, network is stable.
I've updated to the lastest version of Whatsapp .
I also cleared app data, but yet the problem still persist
See if it also happens with Wifi. It could be MIUI power saving enabled in settings. Make sure you have no power saving applied under whatsapp in apps.
fine.. i dont find any exact problem.... i hav few questions...
1. Hav you tried using wifi connection...? still the same?
2. what about "restrict data usage" and "baground data" status?
3. hav u try uninstalling app?
4. Try changing ur keyboard app (i know its not related to this. But , i m asking u to try once)
5. what about other Messengers (like telegram) status?
i dont this is a big issue... but
(if nothing is works , may be try flashing again- no other way...)
Flashing means - factory reset(wipe data) from recovery (if you are in stock rom with locked bootloader)
Uninstall Whatsapp, Restrart the phone reinstall whatsapp again. Might work. ...

Thank you for your assistance. Sorry for giving a feedback this late cause it took some time to follow the tips you shared.
1. I tried using WiFi. It didn't work. Other messengers like telegram and Instagram works normal in sending messages even on 4G mobile data.
2. Whatsapp isn't on restricted Data and it's allowed to use data on background.
3. I've uninstalled the app in the past before coming here for help and it didn't work. Even when I updated The app few days ago, it still didn't work.
4. I changed keyboard to swift keyboard from play store. It still didn't work.
I've also factory reset the phone in the past before coming here for assistance. It still didn't work.
I use two Whatsapp. Kindly Checkout the screenshot from main Whatsapp which gets 500 views on status. The messages doesn't get delivered. Check out the second Whatsapp which sends messages freely.
I feel like my phone is cursed.

I disabled every possible setting that could be the cause under MIUI but the problem continues. I allowed all permission and allowed background data. But no good result
I think you use a whatsapp modded right? If yes, you have to disable privacy mod in wz settings (like last seen, blue ticks etc.) and re-enable it. It's a bug with any version modded of whatsapp.

No I dont use mod Whatsapp. I use the official Whatsapp from Google play store. I searched in another community and discovered that some Redmi users also experience this but Xiaomi doesn't seem to care.

I managed to disable MIUI optimization in MIUI 13.0.12
All apps permission has been reset to default.
Now trying to observe Whatsapp to see if the problem is resolved.
The issue still persistent. Please help
....you have to enable all permissions in rightmanagement of whatsapp app. Then restart your phone.
I had this issue for a while. Resolved itself.
Thanks to everyone who provided support. I messaged Whatsapp about the issue and the asked me to update to latest version of WhatsApp. I did and everything worked out fine . But the funniest thing is that I've been updating to latest versions but it was never resolved. But when I emailed them and they responded, and I did what they asked me to do then everything went back to normal.
Hi,
My Google Voice Services aren't listening what I say. In all apps I try to use a voice command that uses the Google, it appears the green microphone icon that indicates permission and usage by the app but it simply does not listen anything. Like in the screenshot below. I can use microphone to send audio in whatsapp, messenger and calls so I know that it is working.
I think this problem began after updating to MIUI 13.
I've got MIUI 13.0.5 Global.
I tried a bunch of things including hard reset, updating, cache clearing and nothing. It simply wont listening to what I say in Google, YT, Maps, etc ...
Before I did the hardreset I had a XiaomiMiSpeech app and tought with could be that but after the reset, it didn't appear so its not that .
Is anyone with the same problem? Is there any hope to fix this?
Thanks!

Hi NOSS8,
I went to additional settings, like you said. Selected my language Portuguese (Portugal) and then Read, and yes. The lady talked fine. Loud and clear.
Then, I went to Google Settings and choose in all defs Portuguese (Portugal). Entering Voice Match, in only appears to turn on or off Ok Google, that it seems doesn't work in Portuguese.
Reboot and it remains the same. It doesn't listen to a single word I say but the green microphone being used icon continues to appear.
In CIT the Main Mic test also doesn't listen. The needle moves a little but it doesn't give the PASS.
I've got MIUI Global 13.0.5 Stable SKDEUVF

EEA rom for EUROPE.
Is everything up to date on the play store?
It may come from the rom, you can downgrade or update with another version but it doesn't happen overnight.

Yes, after the hardreset I updated everything in play store and xiaomi updater apps.
In my other Xiaomi's I've installed Xiaomi.eu but it's been a long time and I don't remember it well and I'm afraid of getting this phone bricked. I know the bootloader must be unlocked and it takes some days, but installing the ROM it's the hard part. And I don't know if Xiaomi.eu continues to be better.
Other thing is that after the hard reset the phone restored all settings, app's, and etc.

Yeap ,Xiaomi eu rom is always better.
As said above you have a VF version (I assume Vodafone), the updates come from your operators and not from the official channel (this may explain this).
After unlocking, you will need to install a global rom and then a Xiaomi EU rom.
If you want to do that, I can post you the whole procedure.
Obviously if you rent this phone do not do that.

Normally yeah.
For the photos put them directly on your pc.
For double security also use PC backup.
Settings/my device/backup etc. choose computer, this will create a backup folder that you will put on the pc.

Hi a while ago i unlocked my boot loader and after a long time not using the phone i locked the boot loader,,im trying to unlocvk again using same account andit keeps saying account not authorised. even though im using same account.??
i also logged into mi website to post there and as soon a click post it says banned from posting??
is there anything right about xiaomi that just works??
How do i get over this hurdle of unlocking boot loader again?
Regards
I guess You have to apply again for unlock with MiFlash_Unlock tool and wait 168 hours. If this account is bugged you can try a new account. As far as i know this is the only method to unlock bootloader on xiaomi phones.
so i deleted account and recreated new account with same number now it says please add your account to miui settings > developer settings >mi unlock status...which i have done and it says successfully added but every time i go to unlock keeps saying the same above thing to add to your account....
Are you using latest version Mi Unlock ?
Try uninstall/reinstall Mi unlock tool.

That's a strange issue. I've never had problems unlocking the bootloader of my Xiaomi phones.
Try remove your Mi account (in settings) , reboot , then log in again . Then add back the account in developer setting.
And try run as administrator option , when opening Mi unlock app.

once you added the new account dont add it anymore because you are resetting the 168 hours timer. i think you just have to wait 7 days and try to unlock with the mi unlock tool

Tried that too and reinstalled the rom from scratch. Still same issue. I have a feeling it’s my old number and email associated to that account that might be causing the issue as it’s been used before to unlock boot loader? but tomorrow new email new number. Let’s see. Will update.
Regards.
If you have deleted the old account before creating a new one it should not cause a problem. But yeah delete all accounts connected to this phone number and make a new account with a different email. Good luck buddy! Tell us what happened after that
so made new account with gmail and new number and followed these steps and downloaded unlock tool from here and it all worked finally, now it says wait 168 hours
downloaded unlock tool from https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html
and updated it,
followed these instructions and used us as region when creating account but used uk number
one thing i did was make an account via email first on the website and set region to us, once account was created i logged in at the website and added recovery number through there, then logged in to xiaomi account oh phone and it showed up.
Make a Mi account through Google and set the region to US - it's important to set the region to US... EU gave me the rebind error
Add the Mi account to your phone (settings -> Mi Account)
Set the recovery phone on your Mi account and verify the phone number.
Make sure you have OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging enabled
Go to Mi Unlock status -> add account (make sure you're on data)
In your PC download the latest Mi Unlock Tool (click on the gear icon and check for updates + download if there are any)
In the same gear menu check for USB Drivers and install them
Log into the same Mi account in the Unlock tool
Enter Fastboot on your phone
Unlock (it may prompt you to wait 168 hours, but after that you should be able to unlock)
patiently awaiting now

In your PC download the latest Mi Unlock Tool (click on the gear icon and check for updates + download if there are any)
In the same gear menu check for USB Drivers and install them
Log into the same Mi account in the Unlock tool
Enter Fastboot on your phone
Unlock (it may prompt you to wait 168 hours, but after that you should be able to unlock)
patiently awaiting now

Well I was this close to selling the thing if this last step didn’t work. But now will install eu rom as that’s what I had before and it worked good.
Only reason I changed to iPhone was it worked better with my Audi as the direction part on google maps on android auto took up quite a fair bit of the screen which was annoying.
Still does but worked out how to change it from the right side of the screen to the left which is a tad better I guess.

Hi Guys
a little update
as I am waiting for the days to countdown to unlock bootloader, I decided to go to work on the current miui14 Chinese rom, I deleted all the installed Chinese apps all the bloatware completely, activated google play services, installed play store, installed all my current apps, duplicated this phone and the home screen layout exactly to my iPhone set up, logged into my cards and banking apps without any issues, installed vanced YouTube and premium Spotify and as well as a couple no longer available apps.. set everything to English, deleted baidu and mifly keyboard installed google keyboard, and its exactly like how I would have it as if the boot loader was unlocked with a eu.rom.
now if I can get all this without unlocking bootloader all through a Chinese rom, why would i want to go through the headache of unlocking the bootloader to install a eu rom which is based on this very Chinese rom I believe?
can anyone suggest any reasons as to why anyone would go through the bootloader headache, unless I forgot something that i do that i haven't done via this route that might pop to mind later.
Regards
AF

I didnt like the Chinese rom because:
1)the search engine (when you swipe up on home screen) is chinese and u cant change it.
2)"Ok Google" voice command was not working (or was buggy) if i remember correctly.
3) There were some other things that were coming up in chinese but i dont remember exactly what.
4) Many apps were not working in the background and i was not receiving notifications even when i locked those apps, put them on "no restriction" and enabled "auto start".
5) I saw many good bonus features that the EliteRom has (gets updates every 1 or 2 weeks, based on xiaomi.eu weekly) and decided to try it. So far i really like it!
But if you are okay with the Chinese ROM, u can stick with it

Make sure you use the app provided in link in my original post as after using a new email and new number I downloaded the unlock app from that link as the one I was using before had a different layout and kept giving that darn issue.
