It's really weird that the function of NFC in my Xiaomi9 with a little problem. I did a screen recording and made a record show how NFC works in my Xiaomi9.
https://1drv.ms/v/s!Ag2PVSbNI_G2gbxyTbPopENFuZ9_RA?e=RRiSkd
See that it keeps on-off after I turned it on. I can turn it off then the action of on-off stop.
Due to this reason, I give up flash PE even beastROM because it cannnot be turned on after I turned it off.
I have tried to flash different firmware+vendor file but it just doesn't work. None of them ...
Only MIUI10 can make me turn NFC off even it keeps on-off after turn it on...
Have you guys with similar problem as mine ?
I used this to make a tasker profile and works fine to turn off Nfc with screen off then back on with unlock screen: https://www.reddit.com/r/tasker/comments/bmigrs/turn_off_nfc_when_display_goes_off_and_only_turn/
Thanks !
Yes, I can do it by automate as well.
My key point is : Is it ROM's bug or my mi9's problem for NFC keeps showing ON and OFF(Or said " keep changing its state between enable and disable ")...

Stamina mode isn't supposed to turn off Wi-Fi when the screen is off, it just prevents apps from using Internet when the screen is off. Except for the apps that you select to stay active.
So is that normal?
Check if NFC is on. Turn it off.
Settings - WiFi - options - advanced - Uncheck that third option with something about always searching for Wifi.
I hope this solves it for you.
Thank you guys. Everything is like it should be…
I have time triggered profiles which are working fine every time. For example set the wifi on at the morning.
I have profiles from the Tasker wiki to tun on wifi when I am at home, however if my screen is off for a longer time they are not working. So I turn on the screen and after that I see that my wifi is turning on if I am at home.
So this misbehaving is related to offscreen state for sure.
I have CM13 on my OnePlus One.
I have the same problem. it seems the system goes into deep sleep and cannot scan or connect to Wi-Fi from it, although Tasker does turn Wi-Fi on.
I tried to work around by making it vibrate 1 seconds before turning on Wi-Fi, but it's still not very reliable....
Any suggestions?

Turn the screen on for a second and turn it off again.
If Tasker can't do it by itself, the Secure Settings plugin can do it.

so there is no other way than to turn the screen on? I don't really want to do this, since the phone might accidentally do something when this happens and it is the pocket

Exclude Tasker from any battery saving feature of your phone.

If it's locked, it probably won't do anything.

it is already 'not optimized', the only thing left is the integrated power saving feature of Tasker itself, but I want to keep it as it is.
The phone is not locked, so when the screen is on, it might accidentally do something in the pocket.
In terminal emulator, type this:
su
dumpsys deviceidle whitelist +net.dinglisch.android.taskerm
Should be good to go... [emoji6]
Edit: fixed package name for Tasker

may I ask what this does? excluding tasker from battery optimization isn't the same thing?
It adds Tasker to the list of apps excluded from Doze... I believe "optimized" refers to App Standby...which is different from Doze.

I have a task at "device boot" dumpsys deviceidle disable shell command. This completely disables doze. I added a led notification to the profile which contexts become true if am at home. One of the context is cell near GSM but this profile doesn't switch to active if I arrive at home and my screen is turned off. Once I turn my screen on it starts to work.
What could be the problem?

There is an option in Tasker which turn on the screen when performing cell near checks, I have enabled it now it is working perfectly but I would more happy if I wouldn't have to enable that option because of battery usage.

Sec settings did not work for me neither
So, is there any work around for this issue?
when the mi5 is turned off and is charging the alarm does not turn on it is a big deal for me !! 6.7.21 miui8
Yes it's a bug.
Of course it won't turn on. If it did then that means it was never really off. A few devices due this and it is because they never fully shut off. This was found due to the oem wanting to make sure the device could phone home without the user knowing.
If a smartphone is off the nothing short of hitting the power button will turn it back on. Common sense really.
Try to turn off ambient display (wake on notification) and it will work fine.

Known bug on the lastest beta. Should be fixed soon.
I have been searching looking for way to make this work with no solution.
I have disabled AOD since it is consuming battery heavily and wanted notifications to behave as on stock android where they turn screen on. My note 8 is receiving notifications and LED turns on, but screen doesn't. I have to manually turn it on to be able to see the lockscreen notification.
Is there any way to make this work?
+1
Facing same issue.
Having the same problem. Aod does not work anymore.

I use "Dynamic Notifications". It lights up notifications when screen is locked. There's a certain amount of customisation, including screen on time. Used it on many of my phones including Note 8.
Wait.. You want the screen to turn on for every notification?
I hate that... Some apps even ignore the settings either way.

Same here, that would drive me nuts if the screen turned on for every notification. It's bad enough the screen turns on everytime the phone is plugged in/unplugged from USB or from a wireless charger.
Shouren, you can try snoozy charger app to manage the plug/unplug screen on issue

Thanks. The rom I'm using is actually supposed to have that disabled but I don't think it works for wireless charging, only cable. I never never charge with the cable anymore. But whatever, I prefer not to install apps just to disable one minor thing.
I understand you, I also prefer wireless, but, it works with wireless too
There must be a build prop tweak or something but I can't seem to find one right now.
Maybe a PM to a nice dev and they could tell you where to look. Report for community if you figure it out
I am unable to turn off the screen during calls and also google meetings by clicking the power button.
On clicking the power button the screen turns off and then turns on the next second .
Does anybody have any workaround for this?..

Maybe, if you have the fingerprint sensor activated for screen unlok, it Will always awake you phone. Try it with fingerprint turned off, just to make sure if this is a valid solution.
Best regards.

Thanks for replying but it doesn't work I tried....
It is a proximity sensor issue and Xiaomi is aware of it. Unfortunately, no solution yet.
