I'd like to remove flashcast/Eureka and go back to a stock version.
Does anyone have a stock flashcast compatible image for the original Chromecast available?
I know there is one about but all the links seem to be dead now.
Specifically I'm looking for a UK image as well if possible to get rid of the warning that my Chromecast is from a different county and may not be compatible with my WiFi in my country.
I've sorted it. I eventaully found a working link. please can a mod delete this thread.
Thread Closed at Op's Request.
Thanks

Hey guys, I was looking for some sort of tutorial for something.
I was trying to find something that explains how to go from the a Branded AT&T Treo 750 with AT&T Windows Mobile 5 (version 1.13) to the Unbranded Windows Mobile 6.
Does anyone know how to do this or know somewhere which explains it?
It's my brothers phone, I have an AT&T Tilt, so I'm not too experienced with the Palm stuff.
He said that when he tried to run the exe file for an unbranded update it gave him some sort of error.
Anyway, how do I go about switching from Branded to Unbranded WM6?
And what features does which update have? Like which one is the best?
I appreciate any help guys.
Thanks.
Try searching a little before asking. There are thousands of posts to look through, the answer is probably already there..............
Why do you want an unbranded version? I recommend using the official ATT version and then customize the CapPackage.PXP to desired taste. At the end of the day the WM6 is WM6 is WM6 (per se).
And yes, you will need to do some digging - you'll learn much more about your device and how it works (the point of this forum). You'll note in your search that a lot of trial and error and collaboration goes into figuring things out. Once you have done your research, have attempted the upgrade and run into trouble or have a specific question (as opposed to a request for upgrade 101), we're here to help
Cheers!

I'm well aware of that, but the purpose of my post was to see if someone could point me in the right direction.
I've found multiple install files to download but haven't found instructions nor if they're the right install files.
Please keep in mind I've been looking for this for a few weeks now.
Anyway, anyone know anything about this?
Edit: Heh, I just posted right after you without seeing your post.
Anyway, my brother said he wanted the unbranded version for the tethering option or something. He said that the ATT version wasn't tethering properly.
I have the official ATT version with no problems via usb or bluetooth. Give it a shot and if it doesn't work go for the generic version (see sticky in this forum).

I answered this, it's the third post. This method will work with any Treo 750 (Cingular, AT&T, etc.). Since then I have upgraded to 2.27 and it is working fine.
Hi everyone. I recently bought a used xperia x1, but it came flashed with a custom rom, and I would like to get back to the stock. Now there is a page where you can download the stock firmware, but once I downloaded it (from five different sites), I try to extract the file and it says the file is broken.
I have googled and searched and everything points to the site where I downloaded the broken files. Please, someone help me get back to the stock firmware.
There is a search function on this forum you could use, or perhaps look a little further down the page for this, currently 18 topics under yours
I'll make it easier for you, look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475482
Cheers
yes, next time pls search before posting and reusing existing threads for questions as often as possible.
as already stated thread by pavelx1 should provide a working stock rom for you.
just in case you also want back to seus for updates: check olinex thread (h-spl) for restoring stock spl after flashing back to stock rom, it's well described how to do it
I will move this thread to q&a and close it as it's answered (and duplicate).
Best, DK
I am new to the Dell streak7 (infact it is currently in the post on its way to me) and yes I'm a Noob to the forum too, I have had several JB'd iPhones but fancied a change from the Apple (and a bigger screen too ) I was swayed by reading up on the spec of the Streak 7 (and the price when compared to the Xoom) and then seeing all of the underground development by DJ_Steve and others on this Forum, well, it just signed and sealed it for me really...
....Anyway, the device will be a brand spanking new Wifi only model and from what I can gather there is no backup currently available for this device, I have read in the Dev forum that someone actually managed to re-install their original .img from the wifi device, I was wondering how I go about firstly copying these files and then restoring them (should the need arise) IE: best software to use and method to apply? Or would there be a better way to backup/restore?
Thanks in advance,
ATB
Mark
Edit: Sorry this should of been marked as a question, sorry, my bad!
Sorted....I Found Stock WiFi NVFlash download link inside another thread!
Here is the thread link incase anyone else ever needs it:

Hello all,
I've been looking everywhere for the stock froyo image for my wifi streak7. I've downloaded the tmobile images (as suggested on this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1018809) but I've also had reports of this bricking wifi-only models. Is it actually safe to install the tmo image on my device, or does somebody know where to find the images?
TheManii has a few files on a dev-host account. I am out of town for a few days or else I would provide you a drop box link with the stock files.
Perhaps pm him directly, and be very kind and gracious in your request, or maybe someone else will read this and can provide you a link
Look in the stickies section, there may be a reference to where to find.
Also maybe look at tabletroms.com

Thanks ElfinJNoty, and thanks for that link, wptski! I was able to browse Themanii's uploads folder, there's all sorts of stuff there. I'll try to find the rest of the froyo files in there.
Having gone the conversion route I've been relying on Asus' website to check for and download latest OS. It's now been coming up blank for last week though.
Anyone know what's going on and where to go now?

I think your URL is incorrect.

Thanks! Looks like it changed, Google didn't really help me but there you were instead!
The firmware update has been moved before it was in bios/firmware section now it's in software/tools
