At the moment I have the 9T but I'm considering buying the 9T Pro when it's released. The main reason is that the MI 9T sometimes has troubles focusing while recording a video. Especially when the circumstances are more challenging like when the lighting is not ideal. Since the K20 Pro has laser autofocus I was wondering if the focusing is better on the K20 Pro. Did anyone with the K20 Pro notice the same focusing issues I'm experiencing on the 9T?
absolutely the same on 9t Pro

Good to hear. Wel actually not good, but it helps me in my decision if I should give the pro version a try or not. The answer is: no.

Have the 9T Pro the same Display from 9T or use a better Display? I dont like the Display from 9T (yellow tint, badly lit)
Some users in Xiaomi k20pro fb group page have reported that some of the 9tpro's are rebranded k20pro's as they further their inspection for the brand new phones. That's for some, IDK if it applies to all the released 9tpro's...
Have you a link to the group please?
I really enjoy the display with the k20 pro. The super amoled display is of top notch without any doubts.
the display more likely look almost as LG p-oled .

Well, I had not 9T in my hands, but K20 Pro got really very good display. In some parameters is better than one on XS Max. If I understood right that should be the same machines so I assume either device is faulty or maybe misconfigured. Definitely no yellow tint od bad lit on K20 Pro.
Hi everyone I would like to buy a smartphone and I really hesitate between Xiaomi mi 9t pro and Huawei p30 pro what do you recommend me thank you very much

Snapdragon 855 > Kirin 980 performance wise but you won't notice much difference in real world. If you're not interested in bootloader unlock/Rooting and stuff and just want a phone then P30 Pro is better. But i personally am not spending on expensive flagships anymore with phones like K20 pro or Realme X2 Pro in market. Personal opinion

P30 pro definitely has a better camera although I don't own one. But if you're just a normal user who doesn't often use camera then K20's camera is more than good enough.

Huawei no longer issues bootloader unlock codes, so if you ever want to flash a custom rom or modify anything else you won't be able to (except for some paid services which kinds defeats the purpose). That's the reason I sold my View 10 and switched to Mi 9T Pro - and I have zero regrets :victory:

I didn't have the P30 so I don't know - but battery on the Mi 9T Pro is definitely better than on the View 10. Battery is hard to say, I don't take that many pictures

These two phones are not comparable to me, as they are very different phones. P30 pro is a flagship device by a premium maker with a focus on phototaking, hence Pxx. It uses Hiaweis own chip etc. Mi 9T Pro is a flagship but for a value focused brand and it is an all rounder.
You can unlock K20 pro.
You can't unlock P30 pro.
Both send your data to CCP.
Both have very very slow updates (Official).
You can unlock K20 Pro.
Also the Huawei P30 Pro is almost twice the price of the MI 9T Pro (128gb), in France at least.
Even the 3rd party code sellers have stopped issuing unlock code.

The only time mine gets hot is when I'm trying to access the internet in a poor signal area, but then that's been true for every phone I've had.

The Mi 9T Pro and Redmi K20 Pro are the same devices.
Aside from the fact you're wrong they are the same phone. There isn't any globe mode in the Mi 9T pro I have. There are small variations in software between the k20 and Mi 9t but they are definitely the same phone.
Right. They're the same phone with slight software differences and neither of them have glove mode.
You could probably enable it via a Magisk / Xpozed module, but I haven't heard of any.
I'm looking for a new phone and it's come down to the Xiaomi mi 9t pro or Realme X2 pro. The Realme is a bit more expensive but looks better in all aspects except for the camera and custom ROMs.
For me the availability of stable custom ROMs is very important and currently there doesn't seem to be anything going on for the Realme X2 pro in comparison to the mi 9t pro which is a deal breaker for me.
Is this because the mi 9t pro has been out for 2 months longer or is it a general problem with the Realme X2 pro?

Why are you not considering the OnePlus 7T? If you're happy to pay the extra for the Realme, then the OnePlus is more or less the same phone (it's really just the camera modules that differ), but has much more community dev support.
Personally, I've moved away from OnePlus because I didn't like how they've continually moved their prices way north, but they are still the most developer friendly and have the most active developer community.

The realme is already a bit over budget and the oneplus is even more expensive and also without a headphone jack.

I'm the same as you, in that I won't buy a phone with no custom ROM development.
Having just looked at the Realme X20 Pro forum, there is zero development, only the legend Mauronofrio has provided a TWRP, but otherwise there's tumbleweed blowing through the dev section. Personally I wouldn't touch it as things stand. If you prefer the Realme and can wait, then hang on and see if things improve in a month or so.
You could also see what the Mi 10 brings (assuming that will be the next Mi phone), it can't be far off. Maybe Xiaomi will include UFS 3.0 and 90Hz, now their competitors are doing this I imagine Xiaomi will follow suit.
X2 Pro arrived very late, not many have bought it tbh, if they can release their next phone parallel to K30 pro then it will be fun. But for now if rather have K20 pro

I have to buy a new phone and have to choose between the Mi 9 of the Mi 9t pro. I prefer the 9t pro but red that they have stopped producing it, my question is: wil the mi 9t pro receive updates as long as the mi 9 or not ?

Actually, I think both are out of production.
Remember that Mi9 T Pro has been presented 6 months later Mi9, so Mi9 is the older one.
I have a Mi9, it's a good device, snapdragon 855 is super fast and every app work fine.
If I should buy a device today, I would go with the Mi9 T Pro, here are the main big advantages:
Newer
Bigger battery (4000 vs 3300)
Popup camera (Mi9 has a notch on the screen)
And about updates yes, quite similar.
Both are on MIUI 11 and will receive MIUI 12 in the next months. So, no difference.

And , better battery life too
none of them, go for the Mi 9 Pro 5G if you can find it...have many pro's over Mi9 and even more than Mi9T Pro.
Mi9 Pro 5G is a Mi9 with bigger battery and 5G, with the same wireless charging and IR blaster and AMOLED like Mi9, is a improved Mi9, if i know today i go for Mi9 PRo 5G and not Mi9 only because battery is gettin short, like 5/6h SoT after 9 months.
Hi.
I had Mi 9t pro and I switch to Mi 9.
Reasons Mi 9 has wireless charging, better set of camera. Wide camera has autofous. Very rare feature, awesome for macro photos. Better telephoto camera.
Worst battery, missing jack 3.5 (I do not care).
But because of smaller battery it has lower weight. 9TPro is little bit heavy.
Pop up camera on Mi 9t pro is good for uninterrupted display, but it is not so good for face recognition.
I do care for cameras and I really like wireless charging. So for me Mi 9 is better chooice
You can go for Mi 9 Pro instead. It's essentially Mi 9 with SD855+ and 700mAh bigger battery, the rest of the specs are similar if not the same.
The Mi 9T has a larger developer community.
I unlock using face detection, with mi9t pro that feature would be too slow/not practical
