Nope, for me it is still the same, no degrade detected.
Same here. No perceived degradation of battery performance.
Thanks guys!! Probably is another thing then!

See that your carrier services are not up to date. Theatest update breaks the battery and causes massive decrease in Sot.
If you have updated, then either revert back to old version or to new version from Apkmirror.
Battery is better after july update, thats for sure.

After the recent April security update, my battery life is terrible on my nexus 6. Anybody else experiencing issues? Any suggestions?
battery life is all about how you set up your phone, how you use your phone, which apps you choose to install, and very much your phone/data quality. everything else is very minor to battery life.
that said, I have the exact same battery life on 6.0.1, latest security update, that I had on 6.0 and before, no change. I get about 5-6.5 hours sot daily.

Apps can make a HUGE difference too and are easily overlooked.
For example, I was having huge Bluetooth battery drain. I thought it was the April update or the particular ROM I'm using. All Better Battery Stats said was Bluetooth_timer was keeping the device awake but didn't say why.
After some diagnosing, I figured out a newly installed app (FiveStars rewards app) was the culprit. Seemed almost unbelievable because i didn't even know it had a Bluetooth feature. Removed that app and now battery life is back on par.

Here No differences after april update. lite rom (of Danvdh debloated stock rom).
Battery life: layers / apps with dark background; blacked out G-apps of TBO; Bluetooth off;
No your right battery has been horrific, had to go back to stock, thought was ROM/App related..
But went stock 4 times this month doing factory resets and still this thing doesnt ever sleep and just drains and drains like a leech with absolutely no apps installed just line, I also never backup anything or use Tibu.. But maybe a permission being blocked is causing the drain? Should reset permissions
Anyway I just ordered a 6p wahaha
I updated to B370 from L29C636B362 via system update. I notice that the vattery drain is 70% less compared to previous version. Are you experiencing the same?
i just got the update yesterday night. Will test it out today and let u know
Ok great, do post here if you experience the same.
B370 has improve the battery consumption..
I have the same experience b370 improved my battery life l29c636
Ok, so it is verified indeed that B370 has improved battery life handling. I hope better release would come even more.

Full charge to 100% then use it heavily until it drains to 10% then do again a full charge to 100% now let it sleep. Observe the battery drop for an hour. If it drops 1 % then thats what i am enjoying it. I hope yiu will too.

Looking forward to the May security patches. :highfive:
Anyone in India received this update? Those who have claim battery life has improved drastically, it's been a while since it's released but my S9 hasn't got it yet!

For straight gaming in WQHD+ res, I got 4h of SOT, which I think is considerable amount.
Then I turned on speed limiter in power saving mode but without gaming, only social media apps like Facebook, Messenger and YouTube and got 6h+ SOT.
Now I did disabled some apps' Allow Background Activity settings and I think I am getting better battery life, though I cant fully report yet because I went from 85% to 40% with 2h46min of SOT, if to be translated that is 45% difference. Im approximating it to be at almost 6h when considering from 100 to 0 since 90% would give me 5h+ of SOT (still my approximation)

Ah so you're seeing 6hr + and hence are not seeing much of a difference. Crossing 4.5hrs for most of us is a big deal, some barely see 4. (been there too on busy days)

I have AOD, Data/Wi-FI, High Performance profile, Dolby, Edge Light, Blue Light Filter, WQHD+, Game Mode On, Motion Wallpaper, Auto Brightness on, Forced GPU Rendering, some gestures and Video Enhancer and have like max 4h of SOT with normal use.
In standby, without internet connection I get approx 1-2% drain per hour
Has anyone got a mirror, can't download it from SamMobile
Download from updato.com

Does someone drain the battery faster with the use (more than usual) with the last patch for those who have Android 8.0?
Yes, I can see at least 30 minutes drop in screen on time. But it's not much serious drain I think.
I'm always baffled by people claiming battery drainage difference update to update. Am I the only person that doesn't notice a darn thing? I will admit I've noticed between major Android updates but not OTAs.

Clearly there are different types of use, so some may last longer or others less, in my use this last update drains me a little more, it is not much to the point of lowering from 100% to 90% in less than 20 min but it is the first update that I notice, even though it lasts for my journey
I can accept different uses but the patch notes for majority of OTAs consist of mostly security patches. I think it's in the head of most people but very very very few actually keep logs or battery stats of use between updates so no one can really prove it. Judging from just this thread, not many takers. Can try the subReddit to gauge.
Still, I have seen these types of thread for many devices. ::shrugs::
Before April I was getting 6hr sot. While not the best, it's not the worst either, but definitely could use improvement.
I'm comes the April update, and after like 4-5 days I'm noticing better sot, by quite a bit. So I continue to keep checking battery life, doing the same routine daily, so I get a correct reading, and sure enough, I was getting 8hrs sot avg. I normally start charging at 15%, so I pushed it to 8% and reached 9.5 hrs sot, and over the month I still stayed at this same battery.
I was very very pleased and was bragging on Samsung really big time.
So up comes this may 2022 update, and sadly, my battery life dropped back to 6hrs sot.
So it got me to thinking. I've heard people say the battery takes time to settle in after an update, so is that true for "all" updates, or just a like major os update? Because if it's all updates then the battery don't have time to ever settle in really, because we get monthly updates.
The may 2022 update was pretty much just a security update.
So should I just give it time? Or am I destined to be stuck with the 6hrs sot vs the 8hrs I was getting?
same issue
For me the May update has been the same as April update...Well, as I had mentioned earlier, Samsung manages to hit the bell curve in terms of battery life with every update....
Did you find any fix to this?
mines been absolutely horrible since
I'm getting an iPhone in September, fed up of unreliable battery all the time
Did you guys wipe cache after update? I did that and also I enabled 'Suspend execution for cached apps' in developer settings and it seemed to help a lot.
